Rules are set into place for a reason! If the coupon will not take nine times out of ten its because there is something wrong and the computer will not allow us to do it. The register rewards are not part of Walgreens we do not get to over ride the systems, we get in trouble for this and some have gotten fired. Our store policy is one item per register reward per customer per day this does not mean you can stand in line and make a thousand transactions ONLY 1 It is not fair for other customers for people to stand there and do that. As far as getting an item to the lowest cost say 2.12 and then trying to use a 2 dollar reward wont work! HELLO you have to pay the sales tax on every item you bought the coupon does not cover tax. You can say that 80% of us are like this and I find it very rude. It is sites like this that make my job hard...I love m job and try to do everything I can to make my customers happy!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-90368481587066337.post-56511340482259783832009-12-12T03:36:17.862-06:002009-12-12T03:36:17.862-06:00wow this is so informative. but i still want to as...wow this is so informative. but i still want to ask about the raincheck. if the item i want is free after register rewards or is on a register rewards deal, it is out of stock and i want a rain check, will i still get a print-out of the RR when they have the item already?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-90368481587066337.post-58680383922370552502009-12-09T12:22:38.377-06:002009-12-09T12:22:38.377-06:00I have a question about 4 Kellogs cereals I purcha...I have a question about 4 Kellogs cereals I purchased. Walgreens wouldn't take my coupon that I printed off the target website because it had the Target logo on it. So I used my RR on the purchase. But I found another coupon for them. Since Walgreens has the product on sale for 1.99 each in the weekly ad, I explained to her that I could only give her 3.98 off because that was the total amount she was actually paying for the products. The manufacturer - ecotrin - is not paying 2.02 for her other items, their coupon is meant solely for their products. I don't mind people getting things free or really cheap or making money after getting their register rewards....but i do believe that people should not scam the store or the manufacturers. In essence, walgreens probably would get the entire $7 amount back from ecotrin, but it would be fradulent. i am told that our new computer system...which will begin early in 2010 will be able to handle these things on their own so that these issues don't occur. They advertise it in their flyer. Pick up a flyer and show it to the cashier. The Asst. Mgr tried to tell me that and than I read the Ad to her. Also I have noticed that if you jump on the specials on a Sunday, their catalina machines are not set for the new items yet especially at the beginning of a new month. Hope that helps. I also suggest finding the right cashier and knowing her schedule. As long as you follow your coupons, buy what they say etc, their shouldnt be any problems. I thought I had it figured out until I tried going there the other day. The cashier told me that if I use a RR when I'm paying that my RR won't print out. I bought the Fusion razor ($9.99), used a $4.00 off manufacturer coupon and wanted to use a $2 RR. I new I need a "filler" item to use two coupons so I grabbed a halloween pencil. But after my transaction my $6 RR didn't print-she said because I used one when paying. Does this mean I just need to try a different store? He has received numerous complaints and forwarded them to his District Manager but there is not a published policy on this. He has agreed to "make it right" but apparently, it is a programmed function now. You can either insist on them giving you the RR manually or break up your transactions to not apply any to items that generate RR.
