do you get the coupon booklet in the store?

It says Manufacturer coupons on the back that can only be used at Walgreen. So can we still combine it with other Manufacture coupons, just wondering how this will work.

Thanks for taking the time to list these!

I LOVE that Walgreens is doing these coupon books now! I also love how simple they are to use (like the Huggies Wipes coupon)
Thanks for posting this!

Anon #1,
Yes, you find these coupon booklets in the store. Usually there on display next to the weekly ad.

Anon. #2,
yes, you can combine the Walgreens coupon with a manufacturer coupon. The register will accept both coupons.

As is usual, I am certain my Walgreens will NOT have the coupon books anywhere!!!

The Nestle $1/2 coupon is only good on the 5 oz bar (the huge ones). Is that what is on sale for .50 ea, or is it the regular 1.xx oz bar? If its the regular bar, no free candy.

At WG, do you give them WG coupons before mfr. coupons, or the other way around, to make it work, as long as you have the same or more items than the coupons and RR's you're using?

Bonnie/AR said...

WG coupons first, then cents-off coupons, then RR. Then you can smile. :-)

I have asked for the coupon book 2 days in a row at Walgreens and they say they don't have it....

I do RR first,then man q's last wags q's.

Our Walgreens wont let us put them with a Manufacturer coupon even though the system will take it. Because it is actually a manufacturer coupon as stated on the back (even though only good at Walgreens) Just because their system allows it, does not mean it is valid.

They didn't have the coupon booklets or know about them at the Walgreen's here in CA. Now the cashiers are telling me that I cannot use RR's and Manufacturers coupons together. The RR's are now ringing up as Manufacturer coupons now! Lynne in CA

I had a problem a few weeks ago the very first time I tried stacking a WG coupon with a MFR coupon. The store assistant manager tried to throw his weight around and tell me I couldn't do it. I went straight out the door and into my car in the parking lot and called their corporate office. I was told by corporate that he was 100% WRONG and to go back into the store because they were calling him pronto to have him apologize and scan BOTH of my coupons immediately. He wasn't happy to see me but did I care? Nope. :)

Drat! I picked up a ton of these today (they were offered to me, I obliged!) and sure enough the back of each coupon reads: "Limit one coupon per customer per offer. Expires 9/26/09. Manufacturer coupon good only at Walgreens. Not valid with any other offer."

Northwest suburbs of Chicago - no books

My new cashier friend at WG stated openly that these are WG coupons and they get thrown away at the end of the day. The manufacture cps get sent to get reimbursement. You CAN use the cps together with a manufacture...you just have to have a non-ding-bat to deal with.

Bonnie/AR (or anyone else)... why do you use your WAGS coupons 1st? I have been "couponing" for awhile, but I assumed it was better to use MQs first in case the WAGS coupon made the price of the item go down below the MQ amount. My WAGS does not adjust coupons, BTW.
Also, has anyone had any luck finding the Healthy Savings coupon books? I have asked at several local stores and even the managers don't know what I'm talking about.
Lastly, I know I sound like a newbie here...but it's a learning process! For those who use RRs first; do you have any "tricks" when doing this? I am always afraid that despite my calculations, I might use a Register Reward but then not be able to use some of my MQs if I make an error and my total gets down too low. Advice???

I went to use a Q from the Healthy Savings book and the cashier grabbed it and manually entered it as a $2 MFQ. That must be how this store is getting around letting you use multiple. It even showed on the receipt that it was a MF Q and listed the product I bought. Ugh!

Went to two Walgreens and both did not have the booklets (though had last month). One cashier said they would not have them any longer because people were using coupons, rebates, etc. then returning the products. I'm bummed since prior to this, they allowed me to combine them with manufacturers coupons. Oh well, I'll keep cutting and matching with sales. I will not be defeated :o)

My WAGS had the September booklets out front with the weekly ads and I found the Healthy Savings booklets ( finally !) back by the Take Care clinic on a counter. I was expecting a brochure similar to the Back to School one, but it is more of a square coupon booklet. I have always wondered if there were people out there who got RRs and then returned the products;there's really no way for the stores to keep tabs on those things and it sure does make it harder for those of us who try to follow the rules. After yet another Register Reward near-nightmare today, I have finally just about totally switched my loyalty to CVS. It's not worth the headache of playing the Register Reward game anymore to me. =( I will hit the highlights, but too often the same parent companies offer RRs and I end up getting stuck with RRs and/or have to pay much more OOP than I would like. CVS is easy breezy!

There is a card in my local Walgreens that states that the Coupon Booklets have been discontinued, which is in line with what is stated when trying to access it through the online link.
