  1. I have a $5 off $25 purchase.... can i use this too?

  2. Im pretty sure you can use the $5 coupon off of 25. Toysrus is really good at accepting coupons. We went to toysrus today and bought 2 leapfrog tag books and the Scout puppy stuffed animal for $26. There is a $4 coupon for the puppy and I used the $3 off of the book. I wish I would have had 2 $3 coupons with me.
Remember to print off $3 Leapster game coupons if you want to get them at the cheapest. If not you will be paying $25 for the most expensive instead of $20.
On another purchase today I used the $5 off of $25 and the 15% off of a baby item.

  8. Question? When the coupons say not combineable with other offers does that mean you cant buy 2 get one free and use 3 coupons?

  9. For those of you who shop at TRU, consider getting their credit card. There is no annual fee, and you get great coupons in the mail. Whenever I shop there, I always use my TRU credit card. I think it's 5% back via a TRU gift card everytime you accumulate $10 worth. I don't shop there much, but I always get at least a $10 gift card every year + lots of great coupons every couple of months.

  10. Also, at my store the Leapfrog Fridge Recorders were 50% off, at 10.99 minus the $4 coupon available, with the buy 2 get 1 is a great deal.

  11. They also have their Be-bratz dolls on clearance for $15, normally $30. It comes with a bratz doll, a pet, a small mouse, and mouse pad,as well as a USB port for the pc. Once the kids install it it gives them a virtual world they can decorate via points. Their point cards (2500 points each) are now 50 cents, normally $10 a piece. I bought every single last points card they had!!! She'll have approx 25,000 points come Christmas!

  13. I need help. I don't understand these toys. I played with one on display at Target . . . a 'magic' pen reads a book to your child? Am I missing something? Do they keep kids busy? Doesn't your kid just run over to you to show you everything and ask a million questions? I figured it would be easier just to read the book to them myself.
    Do you love them? I have a 5yo twin 3.5ers and a 1yo.

  14. monkeymomma: my three yr old has that same toy and she sits and lets the "pen" read to her. She is a bit young for the purpose of the game but she can read the same page over and over for a good half hour while I do something else. It is great to take in the car too.

  15. I bought the same as deal #4 a few days ago without problem, plus I had a $3 off your purchase of $3 or more coupon that came with a TRU birthday mailing and they gave me no problem using it along with the 3 LeapFrog $4 coupons - my total with tax was $18 for three Wash & Go games. I was going to get the fridge recorder which was cheaper marked down to $10.99 for less OOP, but after playing with it, it didn't seem like a good toy - the kids would need a LOT of patience to wait while it does all its talking before their turn. The Wash & Go is really cute though and is going to make good baby gifts.

  16. I am just curious if those of you who have been doing this for over a year think this is a good deal? I am wondering if I wait patiently could I get a better deal on Black Friday or closer to the holiday season. Would I even be able to use coupons on Black Friday or would they frown upon it since it is so crazy anyway. I am really hoping to get the reading pen and some books for my daughter but have not been able to score the good deals others have at Target or Kmart.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Anyone know if it's possible to use the coupons online? They currently have free shipping on these leapfrog products but I can't figure out how to enter the 'promotional' code...

    ReplyDelete
  18. I think I am going to get the 3 TAG reading systems this weekend. Now would they say something for you using 3 $10 coupons since one is free?

    ReplyDelete
  19. I wqas wondering the same thing. Can you use 3 coupons, even though one is free? I am going to run later today, so just wanted to make sure you can 3 coupons before I go.

    ReplyDelete
  20. I just got back from ToysRUs this morning. I purchased 3 of the scribble and write toys and was able to use 3 printed coupons for $3 each. However, when they scanned the coupons they rang up as $4 off, so I got 3 $21.99 toys for a total of about $31.00! WOHOO!

I went to the Toys R Us in Brentwood, TN.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Great, thank you! I am just hoping they have the toys I want when I get there!

    ReplyDelete
  22. for those asking if you can use 3 coupons, yes you can. if you dont one will end up being the most expensive, instead all being the same price (then minus the free one)

  24. On the ad we got here, it says that the Leapfrog books are not included in the Buy 2 Get 1 sale. Did anyone try it with the books at all?
Also do you have to buy the exact same 3 things to get one free? or can you buy 3 different types of Leapfrog toys and get the cheapest one free?
    Anyone know?

  25. There were a few toys on clearance at my store in IL, including the wordplay recorder, the Sing-along Read-along DVD/book set, and a Learn & Groove piano. All about $10.99, so a great deal if you get 3 and use 3 coupons! I did 2 transactions of 3 each (one of the higher-priced toys, one of the clearance toys), so I didn't get only the low-priced toys for free.

Definitely check your store first on pricing for the Tag system - some are still full price.

And fyi - the Leapfrog.com site has some other toys on sale ($9.99 down from $22-27)

  26. I was in the Phoenix stores this morning and the learning systems are still $49.99. If anyone figures out how to enter the promocodes for online orders let me know.

  27. Just bought 3 Jr tag books @ $10.99 (3rd one was free) less 3 $3 Qs plus got the reader for $34.99 less $5Q. Now my granddaughter is set for Christmas! Champaign, IL

  28. yeah I went to my toys r us today and the learning systems are 49.99.

  29. Our Toys R Us is selling the Tag Learning Systems for $49.99 (not the same price as online). The deal did not work for us. Bummer.

  30. I just went today and was able to get my little pony and leapster for a steal!!!!

I bought 2 My Little Ponies for $6.49 and Another My little Pony for $7.48. With the buy 2 get one free. My total was: $13.97 minus the $5 coupon. I spent $8.97 for all three!!!

    THE BEST DEAL!!!
Leapster Fridge Recorders were priced at $21.99 at my Toys R US they were marked down to $10.99. I purchased three. With the buy two get one free my total was $21.98 minus my $8.00 worth of coupons my total for all three Recorders was $13.98...

    What a great day :)

  31. Anon- I did the deal that you did, only I was able to use 3 of the $4.00 coupons since I got 3 recorders, so I got 3 recorders @ $10.99, got 1 free, and then got $12 off for a total of less than $12.00 with tax for all three!!! YIPPEE!! Awesome deal! Thanks!

  32. The Leapfrog books are included, and the selection is much better than at Target, WalMart, or Kmart. I asked if the Leapfrog items could be mixed and matched (i.e., 2 books and a fridge recorder) and I was told that it should work, but if the register didn't take off the free item, they would override it. I didn't try it because I didn't have my book coupons and I wanted to check out the reviews for the fridge recorder first.

  33. The TAG reading systems were 49.99 at my Toys R Us---so this deal didn't work for me. :(

  38. Just got off the phone with TRU corp. and they told me that IP are not accepted, only TRU Qs are. I called because my store had told me that they couldn't accept my IP when I went to get the transformers. I specifically asked about the Leapster coupons and she told me no. I don't know if I am going to try it again or not. :0

Thanks for all the info though!!

  39. I was bummed tonight to find that my store also had the TAG systems for 49.99 not 29.99 - the manager said the 29.99 was an internet only price.

I was excited to find the $3 coupon in the comments just now though...will probably go back tomorrow for the scribble & write

    thanks!

  40. I did a couple of deals this week, but the best one was 2 of the recorders and 1 click start game. The recorders were regularly $21.99, but they were only sale for $10.99, and the game was $15.99. I had a $5 coupon for the game, and 2 $4 coupons for the recorders. I assumed I would get 1 recorder free, but since they were regularly priced higher than the game I got the game for free making my total purchase $8.98 for all three!!!

    ReplyDelete
  41. Does anyone know much about the junior tag? Will the borad books you buy for it work with the regualr tag also? Does anyone know?? Thanks!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  42. Has anyone else noticed that the Leapfrog Tag system (not Junior) has disappeared from Toys R Us' website? It was there earlier today and now does not come up...

  43. Wow Autumn- sweet deal! The fridge recorders weren't marked down at my TRU (probably should have scanned to make sure). BUT- I bought 3 Leapster 2's figuring I could sell the other 2 to friends or on Ebay. They were marked $59.99 but actually rang up $49.99- after the 3 $10 off coupons I got 3 Leapster 2's for $76!!! ($25.50 a piece!). I've already sold one to a friend! LOL

    ReplyDelete
  44. I loved the idea of getting the three Farm/Car Wash fridge toys, but my TRU would only let me use two coupons. They said, since I was getting one free, I cannot use three coupons. I ended up getting the three for $27 after tax so I figured paying $9 for each after tax was not so bad.
