Hi,
I save a lot by limiting my children to ONE present that they REALLY, REALLY want (that's usually the expensive one) and an accessory toy or two(barbie, wrestler, etc.... Then I shop for it during Black Friday or online using a coupon site. That way I save Time & Money.

Children usually play with one or two favorite toys & leave the rest to the side. This method ensures my children will appreciate & Cherish what they have because it's something they chose and also ensures that I won't waste money on something that will get thrown aside.
Pick us PLEASE!

I love Burts Bee's I read the story on how it got started and it is amazing. Me and my children saved coins we found around the house, on the concrete at store parking lots, money we found in the our car. We collected over $100 in three months and bought Thanksgiving dinner.

how we saved money this season was for some of the females in my family i went to the dollar store and got them a spa kit. beleive it or not the dollar store has about 3 aisles of different scent flavors and brands all in groups to buy up. so i could get a 4 items in one scent, one pair of their fluffiest socks and cool packaging for a very easy price. and ive done this before and my sister in law thought i paid a whole lot for it and loved it!!

I love Burt,s baby bees and regular bees. hehe. This year we have really strapped down. We forgo the traditional Christmas decorations to save on electricity. We opted for lighting of candles. I also knitted my presents this year. I was given a bunch of yarn, so it was totally free except for all my time put into it. I could go on and on, but I am sure this is enough. Good luck to all.

I've been able to save a couple different ways this Christmas. !. By buying the items I need for baking goodies on sale and with coupons. For gifts, we shopped sales and cut back. For my nieces I am giving them each one of two American girl dolls that I won from a contest that Borders books held this summer. It's really cool to be able to give them such nice gifts that would normally be way out of my price range and all I had to pay was shipping to get them to their home!

This is the first year that we have taken advantage of a banks "Christmas Club". We got one with no minimum required deposits, and I was able to save enough to cover almost 85% of our gift buying this year. We did it as we went along from last October to this one. Sometimes we only had a $1 to put in, so that's what went in. With most of the deposits being in the $10 range. It's taught me that those little deposits add up.

Some ways I saved this season : wait for sales, shop during special promotions ($10 coupon good for future purchase when you bought $50 worth of items that day), and checking the just marked down clearance rack for gift items. I was able to purchase 13 shirts for various recipients for $40 ( when you factor in the $10 gift card ). I also saved time by shopping right when the stores open in the morning. That's a great way to miss the crowds and line lines at checkout. I love saving both time and money!
