Inexpensive Valentines Day "Date Night" FUN!

Well... we didn't have the typical Valentines Day "date night"! First off instead of going out to dinner in the evening we opted to go around 3:30, so we would beat the crowd... and that we did! We went to O'Charley's because we love enjoying the free rolls they serve! Well, actually the main reason being that I had a lovely O'Charley's coupon just waiting to be used! I signed up for their eclub and almost instantly received a free appetizer coupon in my email. When arriving we both ordered water. When you go out to dinner, in my opinion anyway, the first way you can SAVE, SAVE, SAVE is by ordering water! I decided to go ahead and get a yummy appetizer for my meal (since it was free!). My hubby ordered a chicken sandwich and fries. Total for both of us to eat and walk out feeling very full... under $10!

Next I had to stop at Rite Aid! I couldn't resist not using the $10 off $30 purchase coupon. My hubby was being a very good sport to say the least!:) I snagged everything below for ONLY .82! The overage from the coupons I used actually paid for most of the tax too! I will also get $6 back for the Durex and $1.99 from the Finesse. Final cost FREE plus a $7 profit!

Next we stopped in JCPenney to use my $5 off $5 rewards coupon. I was in need of some new Wash Cloths, so I was happy to find these cute ones on sale for $4.99. Since we were a penny short of using the coupon, I had to find one other inexpensive item. I ended up finding these shoes for my daughter on clearance for ONLY $3.97! Final cost for both items after my $5 coupon and tax... just $4.23!

We finally made our way into Bath & Body Works! I was hoping to find something to use the $6 on Select True Blue Spa Hand and Foot Care coupon on. I came across the True Blue Spa Smoothing Foot Scrub 1.5 oz. (the smallest size) and guess what the price was? ...$6! As you can see from the receipt below I managed to snag another freebie!

Final expense for our "date night" of dinner and shopping--ONLY $14.97! Oh and if you minus the $7 I'll be getting back from Rite Aid, then we really ONLY spent $7.97!

Sounds like you had fun...so that $10 off of $30 is before coupons?

Lisa,
Yes, it is before all manufacturer coupons!:) It is ONLY good through tonight, though.

You are my personal hero. Also your husband for not a) whining like a little girl when I make him go couponing, and then b) skulking off and hiding when I'm redeeming the coupons.

I tried to use this coupon today and they wouldnt let me because you are suppose to buy from the list of items on the coupon which are 15.00 and not a trial size. to say the least I felt stupid and will read the fine print before going in. So, you got lucky!!!

I love that your hubby went along with this for your Valentines. My husband and I also did a little coupon shopping for Valentines, He let me run into 2 different Walgreens, on our way to the movies. Which we used a coupon at....I know, come one would I go without one? I think it is great when they support our crazy coupon habits. Thanks for your great site!

I tried the Bath & Body works coupon on the $6 size as well, the cashier pointed out to me the wording on the coupon was get any of True Blue SPa item (value up to $15) for $6. So I ended up with the large $15 size for only $6 but the other poster is right, I think you got really lucky when you went.

You guys are right! I must have gotten very lucky, since the cashier and I both didn't notice the wording on the coupon.

Sorry about that!
