Amazon: McAfee Security FREE + $4 profit!

UPDATE: This Deal has Expired!
I posted about this awesome deal previously, but now it's even sweeter!!!

McAfee Internet Security 2009 3-User

Was $69.99, now $45.99
Plus ships FREE with Super Saver Shipping!

The best part is that you can also submit for a $50 rebates, yes... a $50 rebate!!! Making the above FREE and netting you a $4 profit! YAY! You need to HURRY and order, though, since today is the last day this $50 rebate is valid. Check out more details and print the rebate form here.

UPDATE: This rebate is ONLY valid if Amazon is the seller... so the price you're seeing for $19.99 is if you purchase the McAfee through another company. When you click on the McAfee link I provide above you should see a spot below the price that says, Get McAfee 2009 Internet Security 3-User for free, via mail-in rebate, when you buy from Amazon.com. Click on that link and you will be taken to the correct $45.99 price that qualifies for the rebate.

Please note: If you purchased this previously and already submitted for the rebate, then you won't be able to submit for this rebate too.

Hi there...love your site!

Just had a quick question. I clicked on the link for the McAfee and it brought me up to a page that lists the price as marked down from 69 to 19.99. Is that correct or am I looking for another version?

Also, does the manufacture extend rebates that go over the original purchase price?

Thanks!

Oh, sorry I see that you on the rebate that it has to be bought directly from amazon.com

I see the link now. THanks!

help!...I think I was able to purchase this for $19.99 (actually, when I got it, it was at $24 with free shipping, with a filler) ... but now it is at $19.99.I can't see why it won't work for the rebate? will it? I blogged about it and then a friend told me about your blog and since you are the true master :) I am looking for some input...what do you think?

oh ~ I did buy it on Amazon ~ and added a link to my blog, so tell me what you think? When I click on the rebate below the $19.99 listing, it takes me to the $45 listing?

Sorry for the confusion. The rebate is ONLY valid if Amazon is the seller... so the price you're seeing for $19.99 is if you purchase the McAfee through another company.

Click on the link I provide and you should see a spot below the price that says, Get McAfee 2009 Internet Security 3-User for free, via mail-in rebate, when you buy from Amazon.com. Click on that link and you will be taken to the correct price.

Hope that helps!:)

I am confused! I hope I did it right.... I clicked on your link and it said it was only $19(with shipping it was $24) I cant seem to figure out why it was a different price. Did I buy the right item for the rebate to work?
Thanks for your help! I appreciate it. Thanks also for blogging all of your great deals!!! I sure and learning a lot!

oh how confusing! You are so smart, I am so glad I checked in with you ~ I had the deal all wrong! I cancelled my order, I don't think it will work for the $19.99 price...it appears to ship from another company (although the deal goes through amazon)
thanks as always for your great input, you saved me!

You are so cool! You always seem to post the things we need at the right time. Our mouse on our computer just gave out, you post a deal about mice. And my husband was about to go out tonight to buy some software like this for our computer but now, no need, thanks to Hip2Save! Thanks!

I feel so bad for making this deal more confusing. When I linked the McAfee security I assumed it would go to the $45.99 Amazon price, not to the $19.99 price.

You will NOT get the rebate if you purchase the McAfee from another company other then Amazon. Make sure to click on the link that says, Get McAfee 2009 Internet Security 3-User for free, via mail-in rebate, when you buy from Amazon.com. You will then be taken to the correct $45.99 price that Amazon is offering--this is the ONLY one that qualifies for the rebate.

Thanks for the post! Just wanted to let you know that it will be just FREE after the rebate, not a moneymaker. Here is what the rebate form says in the fine print: "Rebate amount paid to customer for single or combined rebate offers may not exceed the purchase price of the McAfee product." In other words, if you paid $45.99, you will get a $45.99 rebate, not a $50.00 rebate. Thanks again, though!

The fine print does state that... but from past experience with McAfee rebates that's not what happens. A few months ago I purchased the McAfee 1-user for 38.99, and I received a rebate check on it for $40.

Hi,
I just checked on this and one had to purchased it no later than March 28. I missed it. You may want to add it so other people do not order it like today or later in the week FYI
