I just wanted to remind everyone who has a Rite Aid nearby how awesome the $5 off $25 coupon is! What I have been doing is finding lots of items that will be free after manufacturer coupons (Mentos, Carefree, Vitamin Water) and then getting my total up to $20. That way I can get $5 worth of free items when I use the $5 off $25 coupon.
The easiest way to get your total up to $25 is by purchasing the Bayer Contour/Breeze meters priced at $29.95. Use the $30 coupon from the 3/22SS and snag them FREE. Better yet combine this with the $5 off $25 coupon to get $5 worth of FREE items. I have been able to stock up on Toilet paper and baby wipes for almost nothing out of pocket. Don't forget that free clinics and senior centers LOVE donations, so if your not going to use your meters, definitely think about donating them!
I also was happy to come across a great Pepsi coupon while shopping at Rite Aid. I found .50 coupons for the 20-oz. Pepsi products on the cooler doors. Keep your eyes out for those!

I tried using this coupon at my Rite Aid and they said that my total had to be $25.00 after coupons. Do you know anything about that? I'm not sure if they knew what they were talking about...

The other day I needed pads IMMEDIATELY and was at Rite Aid anyway. I had a coupon for $2 off 2 packages of Kotex, but the pads were $3.99 a package. Well, the $5 off $25 saved me!! The rest of my items, before coupons, were about $29, so with the $5 off, tha pads were only about $1 for two packages!! All of the other great deals you post brought me down to $12.49, and I'll still be getting back $5 in rebates!!!
My favorite deal at Rite Aid had to be the Automatic Shower Cleaner- the regular Rite Aid price was labeled as $24.99! Yikes!!
I had to tell you. I was in Walmart today and the cashier seemed suspicious of all my good coupons and asked me where I was getting them. I told her and she asked me to write down the names of the websites for her(Yours being the best one, of course.). She wanted to get those good coupons too. :)
can u tell me how u did the toilet paper? im wanting to do that but want to do it rite. i always seem to mess up unless i double check.

Some Cashiers will tell you that you can't use it first. I explain to them that using a manufacturer coupon is just like paying with cash. The store will get back every cent from each coupon, plus a handling fee. Usually by this point they understand and scan the $5 off $25 coupon first. If they say no I always, I mean always ask to speak with a manager. After talking to a manager everything usually gets resolved.
You're doing nothing wrong, so don't feel bad when you hold your ground on this issue.

All you'll need to do is pick up a Bayer Meter that's on sale for $29.99 and then at least $5 worth of Toilet paper. Then just go to the register and let them scan your items. Then hand over the $5 off $25 coupon first. After that's scanned hand over the $30 Bayer coupon. Final cost will be close to FREE + tax!:)
I love those $5/$25 coupons too! On my last visit to Rite-Aid though, my favorite cashier let me know that they started a new policy regarding internet coupons - they'll now only accept $5 worth of internet printable coupons in one transaction. They will allow you to use other manufacturer coupons or store coupons, but only $5 of it can be IP's. =( She showed me a new sign they had up at checkout with the new policy. Of course, like most policies though, it may not be enforced at all stores.
Just a word of caution, be sure to read the fine print on those glucose meter coupons as I've noticed some changes. Many of the newer ones state only one to be redeemed per household and/or for diabetic customers only.
I don't want to be the stick in the mud here, but I imagine there are good reasons why they've instituted these changes.
I know at my Rite Aid, I ALWAYS hand the cashier the $5/$25 coupon first...then she hits subtotal, and then I say oh I have all of these too :) I like the young guys that get me they look at me like I had 3 heads when my total goes from over $25 to under $1...heee heee I love it!!

Today I tried to purchase the Glade candle kit that was on sale for $2.99....I wanted to use the B1G1Free Coupon and a $3.00 off one coupon I got in the mail....unfortunately they wouldn't allow me to use both I had to pick only one coupon....what is your opinion on this?? He told me I couldn't get 2 of them for free.
Paola -- I actually emailed Rite Aid's corporate customer service (found via a contact form on their website) about their BOGO policy. I got a reply back saying that I should get both items free. You may want to email corporate too and keep a copy of their reply in your coupon binder. That way you can be informed and have evidence of their policy for any cashier who questions you.
I was given a hard time when using my $5 off $25 coupon and my sister was told that she has to spend $25 after coupons in order to use it. Wonder if they're changing the policy....
I don't think it's that they're changing their policy. I think it's that you both got a not very coupon friendly cashier.
Next time this happens I would ask for a manager and explain that using coupons is the exact same thing as paying with cash, so you ARE spending more then $25!
