Energy Kitchen, a healthy take-out restaurant in NYC, is giving out free lunch from 12-2!! They have locations in Manhattan and Hoboken, NJ. You can get a coupon for the free lunch in the Metro paper that they hand out for free! They are also going to have people from Crunch gym there showing people how to exercise while they wait in line!
Oh update on the above about Energy Kitchen- you do need to purchase a beverage. Sorry!

I also heard that if you save your receipt from Chick-fil-A today, you can bring it back to get the same meal for free starting tomorrow.
I heard a "rumor" that they were giving out free cookies at Subway...one per person....just for walkin' in the door. :) I'll see if I can find where I saw that and then get back to you. :)

Friday's is one of the best.
We went to Taco del Mar for our free tacos - below is the letter sent to customer service when we returned home....
won't be returning there anytime soon!!!!
To Whom It May Concern:
We were excited to use our coupon for the free taco today at our local Taco Del Mar on Barbur Blvd in Portland, Oregon. When I arrived with my two small children and three coupons the employee said that I could not get free tacos for my children. He said that this offer was good for one per person and pointed out the sentence at the bottom of the paper. I noted that it did indeed say this and said that we were EACH getting a taco. Then he proceeded to tell me that it meant "one per adult who pays taxes". I was a bit confused since a) it DID NOT say this and b)how did HE know that I EVEN paid my taxes. (Which I did but that would be odd if I was getting audited by Taco del mar). I politely explained that it said "one per person" and my children were considered "persons". He refused to serve us free tacos. I was greatly insulted when within minutes of our discussion in came 6-8 college age looking kids that all got free tacos (not sure what their jobs were that had them paying taxes). Next a mother with high school and middle school looking students came in and THEY used their coupons for free tacos.
I found the whole event greatly insulting. Insulting that, a restaurant that we have patronized dozens of times, changed the rules for small children. It would have been fine if the rules stated "no children under 18" or something of the sort but instead, it was left up to the discretion of the man making tacos as to who was considered a "person".
Of course, with two samll children and it being the dinner hour we stayed for dinner. I was then given yet another reason why I should contact customer service when I was handed a measly basket of "chips and salsa" that consisted of about 12 chips and the tiniest cup of salsa...and for how much money? TOO much money!
I thank you for the free taco but when it comes to quantity and service I will be sure to choose my local taqueria or Chipotle which seems to offer more for my money.
That's awful!
I'm glad you spoke up!
