Borders: Kids Reading Challenge + $5 Gift Card!

Here is yet another great Summer Reading Program:

Borders is offering up a Kids reading challenge! Kids 12 and under read any 8 books and then list the books they've read on the Reading Challenge Worksheet. They will then need to have a parent/guardian sign the completed worksheet. Bring the completed worksheet to any Borders or Waldenbooks store between May 26 and August 31 to save 50% or more on selected items!

Plus, you can snag a FREE $5 Gift card thru May 31st, if you bring in a Summer Reading list from your child's school! You can also use this $2 off any Kids Book coupon to save even more!

**You do need to be a Borders Rewards Member to take advantage of the coupon above. Just go on over here to sign up (it's FREE)!

(Thanks, Dina!)

I called my Borders about the reading list and $5 gift card. They didn't know anything about it. Where did you find that one?

Hi Stephanie,
This isn't advertised on their site. I am signed up as a Borders Rewards member and I received this in an email. You can sign up for the Borders Rewards program here-

If your store doesn't know about it, then I would ask to speak with a manager.

I went back through my emails and found it. It actually said you had to be the first to bring in a list from your school. Thanks for helping me track that down. I had spoke with a manager. He didn't know about it, but said if I had it in writing he would honor it.

I've tried to use these coupons in the past at my store and they would not allow me. They said it did not match my card. Further, when I tried to pick up a card or request a card (at a different visit) they refused to give me one. The manager even said I could not ask for one I had to get them online. I filed a complaint and got a generic letter back. So, I have not membership card and a store that is not cooperative with coupons. :-(
