Kerastase: FREE Salon Treatment & Blow Dry!
WOW! This is an awesome FREEBIE!
On 5/20, Kerastase, in conjunction with local salons, is offering a free in salon treatment and blow dry. There are 7 different treatments to choose from! To name a few: color enhancing, volume and restoring dry and brittle hair. Wahoo!
All you need to do is go on over here and find a participating salon! There are salons available in over 40 states. Once you find a salon, call and make an appointment. Then go back over to the site and print your very own invitation! That's it!
I hope most of you are able to get in on this deal! What a great way to treat yourself... Plus, these services are pretty expensive normally!
Enjoy!!!
(Thanks, carol!)

How much would you have to tip on a service like this?
I was wondering that too lol!!
Hi Mary,
I would say it will vary depending on the stylist and how you're treated. If everything went well I would probably tip 15%-20% (possibly more) of what the bill would have cost.
Like you guys, though, I'm not quite sure either.
Anyone know what is pretty standard for tips?
i think at least $10 is standard..i would feel uncomfortable going in just for that treatment would have to get at least a cut. Still a cool add on. In MI these are expensive salons.
YAHOO!! BELAGIO ON THE VEGAS STRIP HERE I COME FOR MY FREE TREATMENT!! My appt is for Wed morning. Can't wait. Thanx so much H2S!!!
Well, your getting it for free so a touch more then 20% would be good.
I love my hairdresser, nail tech and massager. So I tip 25% of my total bill.
When I take the kids in, I tip around 15%.
Awesome! My hair has needed something lately. I'm off to the Bellagio next Wed too! What a great freebie!
I just realized we have some people from vegas. Have you see believe yet???
There are no places by me. I would tip 5 or 10, depending on the cost of the treatment.
does anyone know the details of what type of treatment u can get?
I just booked my treatment!
I have not been to this salon but they had some good descriptions of the treatments.
www.fisherexperience.com
It did not have prices listed but stated they start out at $27.
I am planning on tipping $10. That is more than 20% if it were a $30 treatment and exactly 20% if it were a $50... and I am assuming the ones that have picked out are around the starting price range.
I just called a local Salon here in So Cal that was listed and the gal knew nothing of the promo :( she took my number down and promised to call back... It works out
**I hope it works out
I just scheduled, how exciting! I was thinking about getting a free cut at Sportclips, but decided to treat my self at Montage in Boise instead. Thanks for the tip!
I just made an appt. here in Michigan. I also am going next Wednesday. Thank you for all the good deals. I check out your blog several times per day to see what you post.
Terry
Yeah!! Just made my appointment for a salon in SoCal. Thank you!
Jarney100,
I grew up in Boise! My sisters and mom still live their! I LOVE Boise, but since my hubby is in the Marine Corp we've had to move far away (North Carolina).
Thanks I just make my appointment in Florida Mall.
As a hairdresser I would encourage you to change your post so that it does not say "with absolutely NO money out of pocket!"
A tip is GREATLY appreciated, especially when you're getting the service for free!
I would recommend tipping 15% - 20%
Thanks for all you do Hip2Save!
Jessica,
You're right. Sorry about that.
When I stated no money out of pocket- I meant no money for those 2 services, not that you would walk out of the salon without paying anything.
Anyway, I've removed that. Thanks for bringing that to my attention.
I would suggest giving a $10 tip.
Just booked mine at the Four Seasons Salon in Irving, where they invited me to "enjoy the spa facilities" while I'm there. What a treat! :-)
15-20% can someonde tell me with normal adjustements like 5.00 or 10.00 please??
I think I have to pass on this great deal the "useless" of my husband will not stay with the kids for more than 1 hr
The only salon by me just said they were NOT supposed to be on the list. No free hair treatment for me. :(
H2S why are the ones in NC so far from us! :-( Wilmington is more than an hour away!
Anon,
I know!:( I'm pretty upset about that! Although, we could always carpool... :)
That's kind of funny, my sister lives in Charlotte. Maybe we should trade houses for a vacation ;) We have lived here almost a year and love it! I have visited Charlotte once and think it's beautiful. I'm hoping to get out there again soon. Thanks for this website, I check it a couple of times a day and pass on the great deals to my family.
Hi Girls - I just wanted to point out that this invitation ONLY includes a treatment and blow dry service. It does NOT include a CUT. So basically this is also a money making opportunity for the salon since they would definetly recommend cutting or trimming to revitalize, etc. Please beware of this as I've done this type of deal before and walked out of a salon in No. Cal with over $100 oop.
FYI - look on teh website, the haircuts at teh Bellagio start at $95: http://www.bellagio.com/spasalon/salon-hair-treatments.aspx
Just wanted everyone to be aware of the potential cost.
Thanks!
How Much to Tip:
Generally speaking, for good service, you should tip 15 to 20% of the entire bill. Tip more for exceptional service or less for what you consider to be inadequate service. Tipping is your way of saying "job well done," so tip more if the person performing the service has gone above and beyond what is expected.
If someone works on you other than your barber or stylist (such as a shampoo person or shoe-shine person), give them a few dollars as well.
info found here http://menshair.about.com/od/yoursalonvisit/a/tipping.htm
yea!!! I just made my appointment!! Im so excited thank you for this deal.
Carla, I have spoken to a hairstylist friend of mine, and she said, "of Course it's a way to get people in to sell them more than what is being offered." The way I look at it, it's like walking into a restaurant to use let's say a coupon for BOGO dinner. You are walking in for a meal, it is the servers job to "upsell" things to you-appetizer, mushrooms on your steak, alcoholic drink, dessert, etc.
I took your advice and looked up the prices at Bellagio, since that is where I am booked. Just the Blow Dry (for my LONG hair) starts at $85. It didn't give prices for the "treatment". To me giving a tip for a little bit of pampering is sooo worth it. :)
Another friend of mine told me last night, these are wonderful treatments and she loved getting it done. She is thinking about taking advantage of this deal also, if she can rearrange her schedule at work to get it off.
I just called and made an appointment, they said that you could only get the FREE treatment with purchase. A shampoo ranged from 15-30.00, so I scheduled a $15 Was anybody else told you had to purchase a service to get this?
I just booked my appt and the salon didn't mention anything about having to make a purchase in order to receive the free treatment. It may be at the salon's discretion whether or not they mandate a purchase.
I am definitely going to tip (if I recieve good service, of course)...I feel its the right thing to do for such a costly free service. But hey, that's just me. :)
Thx for the info Hip2Save!! I love this site!
So tomorrow, Nation wide at different salons there is an event called Hope Cuts.. I will be headed there to get my hair cut and styled for 20 bucks and 100% of the proceeds will go towards finding a cure for Cancer & Aids..
This is my plan for the next few days....I plan to get my hair cut tomorrow for 20 bucks at a salon hat I would have at least paid 70 for..and then Wednesday I am headed to another salon for the Kerastase event.. where I will get a free treatment and blow dry..
I dare for them to tell me I need my hair cut... so i can utter back..actually i just got it cut three days ago..
I am soooooo excited...
I just booked my appointment in PA at David Witchell. I didn't book a haircut but I might add that to the service if they have time!
Hey thrifty, where are these salons offering the haircuts??? Different ones??
I know the coupon says free treatment and blow dry do they shampoo your hair before they do the treatment or do you have to pay to have for the shampoo?
Good news for me! I just got a confirmation call from the salon and I asked about why I was required to buy a treatment. I told her other salons were not doing that and asked if it was at the salons discretion. She told me, that the person I spoke to was misinformed. Woohoo! All I have to do is tip!
I just came home from my wonderful hair treatment! They gave me a sample of a hair masque to try at home too. It was a nice, relaxing appointment with very friendly service.
Hip2Save,
Thank you so much for posting this! I went with my mom last night and we had a blast. It was COMPLETELY FREE!!! All we did was tip. My mom was done fast, but my guy was super nice and even offered to curl my hair because he didn't want me to leave with just a simple blow dry. It took 1.5 hours for everything but it was worth it... AND he felt bad for having my mom wait for me so he gave us vouchers to come back for a FREE TREATMENT AND STYLE on HIM!!!
My mom already received two compliments at work on her hair too!!!
Oh, and we got free goodie bags... 3 different samples, Poland Springs water and a bag of nut mix. Yum!
THANK YOU AGAIN!
