Just curious...the target coupon states one per transaction. How do I use 5? Thanks

My Target will only allow one coupon per transaction, so I suppose you could do 5 transactions?

My Target only allows 3 coupons per a particular item. For example, if I buy 5 boxes of raisin bran, they only allow me to use 3 manufacturers coupons. I can see maybe the Target coupons because they do say only one per transaction. Are they allowed to limit your manufacturers coupons? Thanks

Yes but if I did 5 transactions then I couldn't get the $5 gift card.

My Target has always taken as many as I have, I just used 6 Target and Manufactures' yesterday on the Kraft mayo with no problem! I wonder though, if you buy 10 in one transaction, will you get 2 $5 gift cards, just trying to make it an even number to maximize my manufactures' coupons! Anyone tried this on a gift card deal?

I agree my Target will not take more than 1 target coupon for an item even if i have 5 items....so I could walk up there with 5 boxes of pop tarts and they would only take 1 target $0.50 coupon. They would also only take one Mani coupon too...our target sucks.

I don't know if they are still out there (I got some a few days ago at Albertson's), but some boxes are marked with a free movie deal. Mail in the little doohickies from five boxes and they send you a free movie ticket. Pretty sweet deal, specially bc I only spent $3 total on the six boxes I bought!

I'm totally getting frustrated. So many times I hear about using such and such a coupon from a particular insert and I NEVER got one. Do the Sunday inserts vary from region to region?

Yes, the sunday inserts do vary from region to region...I also often get screwed :). I buy a lot of coupons on ebay for this reason. HTH

I feel for you with these horrible Targets. I just always go to the person who looks least likely to scrutinize my coupons (ie boy or young girl). LOL! I had so many coupons the other night the young male cashier was shaking when he was ringing them.

The Target coupons clearly state one per transaction. My Target won't let you use more than one Target coupon on a product during checkout. The way I read it that is right- one pop-tart coupon per transaction. I think trying to use 5 in unethical and is part of why it is getting so hard to use coupons!

I had a great trip to target today. What out for the "limited" target 2 pack of Mr. Clean bottles. They were clearanced for 2.24. I used the BOBO and got a free Mr. Clean spray. So for 2.24 I got 3 bottles of Mr Clean! Also they are clearancing Dixie paper products. They were all priced around 1.45, use the target $1 cpn and the .50 cpn and make money! Dove Go Fresh was clearanced to 2.54, I used the target $1 cpn and a 1.25 cpn and paid .24!

i usually have to do one target coupon per transaction, and i don't mind it since that's what's clearly stated on the coupon. But recently i ran into a pleasant surprise -- my cashier knew that's what i was doing and asked if *she* could combine all my stuff and coupons into one transaction! Of course i said "Sure!" with a big, happy smile! We both saved some time. She said she couldn't understand why it would matter if i'm going to leave with all the same things, using those particular coupons anyway, and she just hand-punched them all in. i don't feel comfortable asking my cashier to combine them, but i certainly do look for her every time i go in to that store :) . Happy Memorial Day everyone, and Happy Targeteering!

Bonnie, I did the Bertolli $5 gift card deal last week. I bought 8 Bertolli in one transaction and received 2 $5 gift cards. YMMV, though.

I am in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia and didn't have any problem with the "Target" coupons today.
I only had the 5 coupons, each .50 off 1 box of Poptarts. The total was $9.15 and I received a $5 giftcard. So..., I got 5 boxes of Poptarts (12 pack) for a total of $4.15 (.83 each)!!!

Thanks Hip2Save!!!

You're better off going to Publix and buying then now when they're BOGO and then use the 1/1 peelies on them to make them free AND use a target ip if you can--although I think the target coupon is for the 6 count boxes. About Target, you can only get 1 giftcard pr transaction I believe. And technically according to the coupon wording you may only use 1 coupon pr transaction. And if you do 5 transactions, you will NOT see a giftcard.

Michelle,
I totally agree with you about the cashier; picking the right cashier is the most important part of the couponing experience. I also too like teenagers, especially teenage boys who just want to move you out of the line and they want to "solve" the problem at hand which are dealing with all of the coupons. I find they are more likely to push coupons through, where my age women or 20 something girls will argue, scrutinize and deny. It almost seems like a power struggle with them; like they want the good deals too and might be a little jealous of my deals.
I also like older ladies, because they will be more likely, it seems, to want to learn and take little coupons lessons, which I am more than happy to provide.
Happy Memorial Day to all!

I just did this deal twice (two transactions)...worked like a charm. I had no problem using 5 Target Q's each time and 2 MQ's.

Bonnie-
Yes, you can get more than one gift card in a single transaction. 2 weeks, ago I bought 12 Fiber One items in a single transaction. The deal was Buy 4 and get a $5 giftcard--I got 3 gift cards. I've done it on other deals, like the Special K deal prior to that as well.

my target will only let u use one target coupon per transaction if u do five seperate transactions this would not qualify for the 5 dollar gift card

At my Target, it's not always the cashier I get but the line manager. She sees me coming and waits until I'm nearly checked out THEN comes over and makes them take off all of my Target coupons except for one for each specific item. Last time I was in, she made the cashier take off $9.00 worth of Target coupons. That made me mad since I DID have the items seperated in seperate tranactions form... but the cashier wanted them all together... which I was (at first) happy about her doing. The line manager was rude to me and said (snotty) "I've told YOU before that you can only have one per visit" I explained that I was willing to do seperate transactions and actually had them seperated. THEN she said that I would have to leave and come back to do different transactions since the Target coupons were one per visit. I know they say one per transaction but NOT one per visit... I live 45 miles away from our Target and I'm not going there several times a week! I wish corperate office would just be nicer about their coupon policy since it really just put their prices down to Walmart prices anyway!

I am happy to report that Target did 'stack' the coupons. I asked the guy at the register, first. He said he wasn't sure. I then told him that I had the coupon policy if he needed to see. I was able to get the Kraft Mayo for FREE. I got Pop Tarts for $.50/box. I opted for the smaller boxes. I hope they get more in this week of the larger boxes...only weird flavors left:(
