I would like to get some free toilet paper, where is the dollar aisle?

you said "Cottonelle 4 packs are in the dollar aisle for $1 "

Tori said...

I went yesterday to mine in Austin, tX and there is not Toilet paper in my $1 section. I'm sure they vary by region. My store didn't even have the 4 roll packs.
Too bad, because there's nothing i love more than free toilet paper!!!

me either.. no dollar section.. yet

We used to have a $1 isle, but no more. (: But some of the items that were in the dollar isle are sprinkled throughout the store where they normally would be, 'cept I can't find the TP anymore. Did get some at the beginning, along with the brownie mixes.

Now I noticed they do not have Pillsbury brownie mixes for $1, but another brand, I think Betty Crocker. Still a good deal.

And with Hip2Save's help my grocery bill has been cut dramatically! Have really been getting my Sunday papers, doing Walgreens deals, couponing, and rebating, and getting many free samples. Thank you so much for helping our family. Many, Many THANKS!!!

I HAVE TROUBLE AT OUR WALMART IN THOMASVILLE GA. THEY WILL NOT TAKE A $1 COUPON FOR A PRODUCT THAT COST LESS THAN $1.

Jenn said...

Could you give me a link to this post so that I can mention it on my blog. This is an amazing list!

I have the same problem at my Walmart giving me a hard time for an item that costs less than the coupon. They did adjust the coupon, but after a big fuss! I have emailed Walmart regarding their policy on this. If I hear back I'll let you know!

Ida said...

hey Tori what austin store do you go to?
I've never seen a dollar aisle in Round Rock or Pflugerville

Ida said...

By the way there are a ton of new parties at houseparty.com

Anonymous said...

What Wal-mart was used for these prices? I am always seeing at least 20-25% higher starting point prices for product if not closer to 35%... thanks

Tori said...

Hi Ida,

I go to the one that is off of 290 & Mopac(near Brodie). They used to have a "$1 Aisle". The aisle is still there, but with nothing for a $1. The items have been put back on the normal shelves.

I'm in Lawrenceville, GA - My Wal-Mart stopped carrying the Cottonelle 4-pack!! BUMMER!! Every now and again I'll go back and check..........

Anonymous said...

J LANE and anon,
As far as adjusting the coupons down, my store gave me grief and I called corporate. The manager of our town's store called me back and said it was no problem, they should definitely adjust down and he would let all cashiers know this. I went back a few weeks later and the same problem except this time I was accused of running some kind of "scam" and told I was twisting the rules. I called corporate again. This time I was asked to come in and talk to the manager and he apologized, swore it would be fixed, and gave me everything I had in my cart the night before (I had left with nothing) for free. I don't know if adjusting it down is at all stores, but it's worth a call.

My Walmart wouldn't let me use the Huggies Bath and Body on Baby Wipes? I thought baby wipes WAS a body item..anyone else have this problem?

Also..when I see a great deal on printable coupons, I get on the printer right away. Remember the $2 Huggies diapers coupon and the $2 A1 Steak Sauce coupon? It NEVER fails that they will not scan on the register. The cashier has to move..swipe..dip..zig zag..hang 10...whatever possible and the stupid thing won't beep. Not even with the wand. They just about give up, and I'm like great..there's a savings loss. FINALLY..the stupid thing beeps.

Does anyone else have the problem with the coupons.com or Smartsource.com coupons? Is there a better way to get them to scan every time? Maybe I should switch my paper I print on? I'm just so tired of the hassle to get them to work.

Kitty food Q's needed also!
I was just informed that there is also a coupon for free kitten food in the 4/26SS insert. I am happily accepting these too. Don't want to leave out the poor little kitties! :-)

Repost of original:

I need your help, please.

This is my mission this week. This was on our local news yesterday morning (6/23) and it is so terribly sad!

This shelter 60 miles south of Dallas is running out of food and is having to euthanize dogs for the first time ever. It's the The Humane Society of Cedar Creek Lake in Tool, TX and the website is http://www.hsccl.org/.

This isn't too far from my home. So I am calling on all my couponing buddies to come through for me on this one. There are coupons for Free Mighty Dog dog food in the 6/14SS. I am asking anyone who can to please mail me as many of this coupon as you have. I have about 60 so far, but I want to get as many as possible to help feed these animals for as long as possible.

I'd love to get a huge response and get a happy ending to this story on the news.

Please let me know if you can help and how many you can send, so I have an idea, either in a comment or via email to yourcouponbuddy@gmail.com .

Please mail to:
Your Coupon Buddy
P.O. Box 181
Forney, Texas 75126

Thanks all, and please read the news article below:

Food shortage may lead shelter to euthanize animals

10:31 PM CDT on Saturday, June 20, 2009By JONATHAN BETZ / WFAA-TV WFAA-TV

The shelter only has enough food to last another week or two.

A North Texas animal shelter is faced with an agonizing decision: either euthanize its animals or let them starve to death.

PLEASE HELP!

To add on to anonymous' post, Purina is donating a bowl of food to feed pets awaiting adoption in the One Hope Network shelters. Please visit www.samsclub.com/onehope and complete a less than 5 question survey and have a bowl of food donated to feed a homeless animal. Thank you all in advance.

Chrissy said...

I completed the Purina survey! Ok, so it only took about 4 seconds... But, I can't send any dog or cat food coupons - Archie and Sylvie already ate theirs! The food, that is, not the coupons. :)

to: anonymous wanting free dog and cat food coupons

I redeem coupons like that and take the food to my local shelter. A lady that used to work there ask for coupon donations, but she kept them for herself.

Alisa said...

Tori and Ida--I am in Leander...and no $1 aisle in Cedar Park, either. Not even 4pk of Cottonelle. My hubby and I went last night, and we were about out, so I had to settle for the larger packs. Still nice to have $1 off, but I love FREE!! Nice to see some more Austin couponers on here!

nicole ohio said...

ladies,Fran,hip2save just wondering, have any of you received your rebates yet from natural dentist,el montery foods, lysol or reynolds wrap? Its been since april when I first mailed the natural dentist in. thanks ladies.

fran said...

Nicole,
I did the Natural Dentist in April, and the Reynolds in May...I didn't do the other 2. No, I didn't get them yet, but it's still probably too soon...I would say, give it a couple more weeks. You can always call the toll free # to inquire about it, if it takes too long.HTH.

Kelli1868@yahoo.com said...

I have a question. The manager at my WM told me that they can only accept one of the same printed coupon per register. For example, they said if I had 2 printed coupons for mac & cheese they would only allow me to buy one with the coupon in that lane and I would have to go to another lane to buy the other one. They said something about the coupon says one per transaction and that they can't have 2 of the same items with 2 coupons on the same receipt. I think they are crazy but they will not budge! My husband has even talked to them, no luck!

Jackie said...

I called last week on the Natural Dentist and she left me a message giving me the number of the rebate center 1-800-422-4842. If you call Natural Dentist she is always away from her desk and doesn't call you back for a couple of weeks.

Jackie said...

Kelli:
I ran into the exact problem with Target and after several emails back and forth I finally talked to the nicest woman in Guest Relations and she gave me her number to call her while I am in line. Just to chicken to do it yet. She gave me her hours and everything. Maybe just the right deal will give me the push I need. I went yesterday to buy that card game and I got the guy at the electronics desk to check me out.

She confirmed with her supervisor that say you buy five Ben & Jerrys and you have 5 mq's and 5 target q's for that product. You can use 10 q's. 5 mq's and 5 target q's. I said well they say 1 offer per transaction and she said "Jackie that means per PRODUCT and you can use 2 per product if 1 is a Target q and you can use as many target q's as you have purchased of that product. Did I mess this up? Feel free to ask me. I'm still dealing in my head with "purchase" and "transaction" but "product" cleared it for me.

One thing though, it just seems wrong that I have to carry a letter and my cell phone in hand doesn't it? I asked her why she couldn't send me a letter stating what she just said. She said she didn't have the capability to do that. She told me, her supervisor answers this same question everyday. COMMON SENSE.

Jackie said...

Natural Dentist, sorry when I talked to them they said it's on the way.

Just wondering. Do some walmarts take coupons on the trial size stuff that you posted at the beginning of this post and some dont?? I tried at my walmart and was taken to customer service and almost had the police called for trying to rip them off!! I wasn't. I just thought it was ok since you post it on here to use the coupons for those things. Do you know the policy. They were RUDE!!

Anonymous said...

I really think using coupons is not an arrestable offense. I know the police would not arrest you. That is just ignorant on their part. I would definately contact coorporate office of Wal Mart and tell them what happened. I had a pretty terrible experience there and the CSM pounded on the counter about coupons I had and I got a gift card. So I won. Sorry for your circumstance.

Anonymous said...

Most of my coupons say that they can not be used on travel sizes. So some of the deals listed aren't really great deals for me. I have definately noticed that when it comes to walmart all that matters is what cashier you get. If I get an older more responsible person, they will normally check every coupon. If I go to some teenager that doesn't want to be there, nor take the time to check prices or call a manager, then they will usually give me some great deals.

Anonymous said...

ok.. SS and RP? what are these coupons? where do i find them? Please help the newbie!

Anonymous said...

Anyone had this problem? I was trying to print a coupon for Del Monte fruit Chillers and a Kellogs Bake Shop coupon and it popped up an error box saying that I had reached a print limit on both items....only I haven't printed them before, this was the first time trying. Very frustrated.

Angie said...

I just got back from Walmart where I had to leave my whole cart of items at the register because they would not take more that one of the same coupon. Example: I had three Starbucks ice creams and 3 $2.00 off coupons. They treated me like I was trying to steal from them and told me only one was allowed per transaction. I have never had this happen before. Anyone else? I do plan to call corporate tomorrow for a specific coupon policy but just wanted to know what others had been told.
