Wouldn't the Soyjoy deal be a $4.00 money maker?
The Soyjoy would be a $4 mm if you used 2 coupons. Pair that with the freestyle meter if you have the coupon and a $5/$25 and you have a $9 PROFIT! Does anyone know if you can do the MIR on the Freestyle meter if you used a coupon?
I believe with the meters:
Free with coupon or free after MIR.
Not both.
hth!
my cvs ad says 'no discounts' on the meter. DFoes that refer to coupons or that some sort of an insurance thing?
I can never get this stright, but if it says "limit 5" (for the soyjoys) does that mean you can do the deal 5 times? Or only buy 5 bars? It must be 5 times, cause the bars are 4 for $4 right? I feel dumb, maybe I shouldnt ask questions before coffee:)
I was wondering the same thing. Can I purchase 20 at one time and get 20ecbs?
Kate and Toni,
It is 5 deals. And Kate, there are no dumb questions. And Toni, a suggestion: if you don't have any trouble using a $20.00 ECB at one time, then your way would be fine. If you break up your orders, you will get smaller denomination ECBs...does that make sense? I'd rather have 5 $5.00, instead of 1 $20.00, but that's just me. I find it easier using the smaller ones.
Stephanie and Maven of Savin',
I believe Collin is correct. If you purchased 4 @ $1.00 each=$4.00 OOP...if you use 2 B1G1 coupons, that takes it down to $2.00 OOP...you get $4.00 ECB, making that $2.00 profit. I know I sometimes have to sit and figure it out, and I know it can be confusing at times. HTH:)
Do the soyjoy EB’s just tally thru separate transactions? Can I buy 2 in one transaction and then 2 in another & then get the $4 or do they need to be together?? Here is my idea – do you think it will work?
Transaction 1
Freestyle 9.99
2 thermacare @ $2.49 = $4.98
10 Soyjoy $10
French mustard $1
Orajel (need!) $5.19
Subtotal = $31.19
-$5/$25
-9.99 freestyle
-$2 use 2 $1 thermacare
-$0.50 frenchs
-$2/10 soyjoy
-$1 orajel
total - $10.67 pay w/ $10EB – 0.67 OOP
GET $5 EB thermacare and $8 EB soyjoy (w/2 awaiting another 2 purchase)
Transaction 2
6 Soy Joy $6
use $1/5 soyjoy coupon
total $5 – use $5 Eb from above and get another $8 EB (2 w/2 from above and another 4)
Transaction 3
4 SoyJoy $4
use 2 BOGO coupons
total $2 – cash and get $4EB
So for $2.67 oop & use $10EB end up with $20 EB ($8-$8-$4) = $7.33 PROFIT
Maven of Savin', It looks pretty good to me...I think you can do that carry over, because if you notice at the bottom of your receipt, it tallys how many of one item you bought, so when you reach each deal, you will get your ECB...that's a good scenario, by the way. Did you get the $5.00/$25.00 from your email or the machine? I hardly ever get those. I'm thinking you have to actually spend a lot OOP to get those...I either have ECBs or gift cards. You know, I was just thinking...if you have a lot of the SoyJoy B1G1 coupons, you would make out better than using the $1/5. On your first order alone, you'd be getting $5 off, insted of $2...that's if you have enough of the B1G1.
IF you give the CVS $5 off coupon first, then give the other coupons, then give the ecb's. I have a better chance of making it to the 20.00 or 30.00 they want me to spend. Happy spending!
In the past I have given my cashier my stack of coupons at CVS with the $/$$ on top and she took it off and saved it for last, what can I say when if she starts to do that again?
Fran- Thanks - i wish I had more BOGO, but I cannot complain! I have been getting them from the scanner machine (and my CVS will honor for 1 month past expire).
spifftiff88 - If I think they will be finicky, I give that one first and pretend to be sorting thru the others, then i hand over the rest.
HTH!!
Boy Maven of Savin',
That's great, a month past the date....my CVS will do maybe a few days, and my stores don't take other store's coupons...I read where some people were able to do this. And I think that's great that you can't complain...$1 or $2 is still okay...I just wanted to bring it to your attention....even without any coupons, the SoyJoy bars will still be free about ECB.
Good luck with your scenario.
Spifftiff88, I would politely say that I would like that to come off first, so there is no problem at the end...it's the truth. I just hand them over, one at a time...I just did it at ShopRite...that way you can watch as she scans each coupon to make sure you get credit for it.
Thanks for the suggestions!
Like the $5 off $50 at K-Mart I always just hand them the x off $x coupon first and wait for them to scan it, then I hand over the rest of my coupons.
I agree with everyone else...hand over the one(s) you want scanned first, then hand over the others. What are they gonna do? Jump over the counter and grab the others out of your hand?? :) Happy couponing!
Can you have more than one CVS card? I thought at one time I heard you can have a maximum of 2 cards in your name, was I dreaming that??
DANG it, I don't have the coupons from the insert! :o(
Hip2Save:
Thank you so much for all of the wonderful tips and posts on your site. I often read some of the tips aloud to my husband who stares at me in amazement! I thought I was a pretty savvy shopper until I found your site. I have saved so much money thanks to your posts and your readers' comments. I know you get criticized at times, but you will never please 100% of the people 100% of the time. Keep up the good work! You are helping untold numbers of families get through difficult times.
Has anyone been able to find the Country Bob's All purpose sauce anywhere...the one we got the coupon for a free bottle? I can't find it anywhere...Target, Walmart, or HEB? Help!?
My local CVS lady told me to give CVS store coupons first (like the $5 off $25, etc), then give the ECBucks, and finally the mfg. coupons. The ECB's act like coupons and that way you'll get the overage from the mfg. coupons without having to worry about how much you've spent before/after tax and if you'll have to buy a filler because your amount wasn't enough (Ex. - you use all your coupons and your total is $1.97 and you have a $2 ECB...well you have to find some filler item to make up that 3 cent differenc),etc. She said the mfg. coupons were the "icing on the cake" in terms of savings. Hope that helps...it helped me out!
To the anonymous person complaining about the ON coupon reset: If you didn't see it here why can't you just look for it yourself on the web? Don't be so lazy and look it up on-line yourself! You have some nerve to post something like you did after the crap H2S went through last week. It's because of ignorant people like you good things come to an end EVERYWHERE.
oops sorry, wrong place for my post-this was meant for the Old Navy comments
H2S-thank you for all you do for us! I love your blog! I visit every day!
FOr MAry:
COuntry Bob's Sauce: I found it at my local Kroger (Michigan). Maybe you have a kroger affiliate (Smith's or something) by you.
I hand over coupons 1 at a time to make sure they scan in. I've been burned too many times. I make sure no one is behind me in line.
Mac's mommy & Kate,
Thank you so much! Your feedback is very appreciated!:)
Fran,
Thanks for helping out with the questions! I've had a busy weekend and you've made it much easier!
I hope you all are having a Wonderful Father's Day!
Collin,
You're very welcome...glad to be of help. I figured you were spending much needed time with your loved ones...you deserve some time off...hope you are enjoying it, and Happy Father's Day to your hubby:)
Collin,
Not the spot for this, but I wanted to say thank you for the Benihana post back in April. I signed up for hubby and me...my birthday is the beginning of April, so I thought I would still get the coupon for this year, as it said you receive it in your birthday month. I didn't get it, so I emailed them, and they emailed me a coupon in May that expired the end of May...I knew I wouldn't be able to use it by then. I call the restaurant and spoke to the manager, who would allow me to use the coupon a little after the expiration date...wasn't that nice? Anyway, we went last night and had the best time and the best meal...my husband kept thanking me...he really enjoyed it...and having $30.00 taken off your bill is wonderful. They even took my picture and put it in a cardboard frame. It was really a nice night out and I told my husband I was going to have to thank you...so again, thanks so much...it allowed us to go to a restaurant we normally wouldn't have gone to. We're looking forward to going in December for hubby's birthday.
If anyone has a Benihana near them, I highly recommend signing up for this one.
Has anyone bought the Coppertone Nutrasheild to see if you got ECB's?
The Sobe B1G1 deal isn't happening for us in S. Texas. I went today and they both rang up regular price. I didn't see it in the ad either.
Is the $2.99 - $1 Mfg. Q from Real Simple? for the Cascade Gel/Packs a good deal at CVS? So it'd be $1.99? Not sure how much this stuff is normally or if that's a good deal.
Thanks!
was the freestyle glucometer a regional Q?..i cant seem to find it!
If there is an advertised deal to get 2 for $8, can you use a $2 off the purchase of one item coupon, and get the 2 items for $6? (I am thinking about the Lysol spray)
Thanks in advance for your help!
FYI - the Aveeno Positively Ageless Suncreen is on sale for 9 like the other Aveeno Sunscreens. I haven't looked to see if the $10 off of 3 coupon was still available but if you have one it worked and I got the ECBS. Also the limit was 2 - I believe the circular said limit 1. I loaded up on Sunscreen with this deal and the Coppertone - Thanks for all you do!!! :)
