Target: Possibly FREE Oscar Mayer Hot Dogs!

Well, according to one of my readers Lisa, Super Target has the Bun-length 16 oz Oscar Mayer Hot Dogs priced at just .99. You can use one Target $1/2 coupon and pair it with the $1/2 manufacturer coupon from the 5/10 or 6/21 SmartSource Insert. By using both coupons you'll snag FREE Hot Dogs!

Hurry, the Target coupon expires on 6/30!

(Thanks, Lisa!)

I got the Target coupon in one of the inserts, either SS or RP earlier in the year. I'm going to hunt down which insert and what weekend. I just had it in my binder, so I'm not sure of the date.

Still searching the inserts for the date, but if you go to this website you can see a picture of the coupons.

Hi Ladies,

http://www.organicgrocerydeals.com/forums/view.php?pg=coupon_generator
(copy and paste above...scroll down to "show coupon images", and put the # of Target coupons you want to print in the little white box...do this for all the ones you want, and they will all print together.)

http://www.taylortownprieview.com
(this is a great site I use to locate a coupon...all the insert dates are at the top...when you click on a date, the page will show, with all the coupons from that date, with each insert listed separately and in alphabetical order. If you don't see what you are looking for, and to make it faster, hit "home", and then the next date.)
Hope this helps some of you.

If ya'll have a Hy-Vee available (or a Walmart that will price match), you can use the $1/2 coupon to snag two packages of hot dogs for only $0.98.
Not free, but good enough if the Targets aren't featuring the hot dogs for $0.99/each.

I don't have a Super Target so we just have a small grocery section. The least expensive Oscar Mayer hot dogs were $1.54.

Brandy,
Even at that price, with the Target coupon and the manufacturer's coupon, you'd just be paying $.54 a pack...that's not bad.

Lisa again in MN. My sign at SuperTarget had sale dates from 6/22 thru 6/27. Sometimes they take the signs down early, getting ready for the next week price changes. You might want to check by scanning, if you have the time.

I have a question Targets coupon policy....I went to buy the Nexcare tatoo band-aids that are in the travel section ( i had the $1 coupon) and when I went to check out they told me that I could not use them due to the fact they were only .97. She stated that they are not allowed to "round down" because it is fraud. Anyone else have this problem?

Katrina,
Go back to Hip"s home page, and on the right hand side, where she has the drug stores listed, you will see "Target Coupon Policy". In there, in the second paragraph, it states that they can not give you money back on a coupon, but they can adjust the price of the coupon...it is not fraud. Make a copy of their policy and bring it to the store with you...if you still have a problem, call corporate. The last time I was in Target, I made money on coupons.

I've never used coupons at Target (yet) but I do at Walmart and have never had a problem using coupons that are for more than the item.

I have used coupons on clearance items making them free or even overage..and recently I used $3.00 Pace coupon for a pace cheese dip that was $2.98. The register never beeps but it does ask cashier "food item? Yes/No and all they do is hit yes.

When a cashier stops and says NO, I'm confused as to how they know how much the item is with coupon? Is it a very small transaction where the item and coupon are close together? Or handing the coupon over to the cashier as soon as the Q item is scanned?

The reason I ask is because I was a cashier at Walmart for 1 year and the customer always handed me the coupons after the whole cart was rang up. I never said no, or even questioned anything unless the register beeped. I payed little attention to the prices and so I'm just wondering why the cashier says no so quickly for some.

I usually don't go shopping for free items only or for a very small balance due on receipt. I usually do my large shopping with my coupons. It IS a headache though lol. Maybe I should do the Q shopping only once.

Katrina,
I had the same problem as you a few days ago at Target. Please call/e-mail corporate and let them know what's happening. Hopefully if enough people say something they will take care of it. I was sent $6 in coupons for "my trouble." Let me know what happens!

Thanks Fran and Kelly. I just read the policy and am no in the process of calling Targets Corp. office. I think I am going to have to call on Monday...due to the fact it is a weekend :(
THANKS AGAIN GIRLS!!!!

I did NOT have to call corp. I called the local store and talked to the "manager in charge" and was told they YES they will round the coupon down to the price of the item. "It should have been done like that yesturday and I am sincerly sorry that you were lied to." That was a direct quote from manager Liz. I was told that they have a copy of the coupon policy and that there was no need to bring my own copy in, but I think I will! Thanks again girls for all your help :)

Katrina,
That's great! We couponers need to stick up for what we know is right...in a nice way though...I know it can be very frustrating when you go to the store, and you had planned on getting all these deals, and then you leave the store with nothing, or very little.
Good for you, Katrina:)

Fran,

I think we are all pretty familiar with organicgrocery coupon database...but unfortunately, there is no oscar meyer coupon there anymore :)

If you don't already know, in Target, near customer service, you can print Target coupons there. I don't know if they have the Oscar Mayer coupon, but it's worth a try.
