Here is an EXCELLENT way to roll the RRs with VERY little OOP. I did it over and over yesterday!!!
Starting with a $3 RR from St Ives, Buy....
**2 Cakesters and a 25 cent food item (Deerfield crackers & Walgreens 1 liter sodas are clearanced to 25 cents)
**Use 2 Cakester $1 coupons from yesterday's paper and the $3 St Ives RR
**Pay 25 cents (plus tax if your state has tax on food) and get a $3 Kraft RR
Now you have a $3 RR to use, Buy....
**18 ct pkg Rolaids: $2.99 and a Right Guard (not sure of reg price)
**Use Kraft $3 RR, $1 Right Guard coupon from 4/19 insert and ad coupon to make the Right Guard 99 cents (use ad coupon last)
**Subtotal will be negative 1 cent BUT the tax will eat it up. Pay the tax minus 1 cent and get a $2 RR on the Rolaids. (Mine came to 5 cents each time)
Now you have a $2 RR to use, Buy....
**St Ives wash: $2.99 and a filler item over 51 cents (I either did 2 Ramen noodles @ 29 cents each or a cheese stick @ 59 cents or snack size iced cookies for 59 cents or snack size chips ahoy cookies @ 69 cents
**Use $2 RR from Rolaids and $1.50 St Ives coupon
**Pay the amount of filler over 51 cents plus the tax and get $3 RR from the St Ives. (Mine came to around 28-40 cents each time)
Now start back at the top and do it all again. Over and over until you run out of coupons!!! You will finish with the same $3 RR as you started with!
My wags has $3 RR on opti-free which I combined with a $3 coupon, not nearly free, but good buy on something I have to have. This was not listed in the ad, but was a sign in the store. Got my $3 RR for this and the St. Ives (just wish I had the coupon for the profit).
Can someone tell me if rolaids is considered a FOOD ITEM?
I'm planning to roll rolaids-cakesters-ragu deal and pay with food stamps.
TIA
Looks like the free Digiorno Flatbread coupon is up again. I just got a confirmation - even though I received it the first time around!
Anon,
Rolaids is not a food item. I believe it would come under medicine. If you can use food stamps on medicine, then you're all set.
thanks Fran
i cant find my st ives or rolaids coupons. UGH!
We didn't get the St. Ives Q's here in Kansas City. I had to order them off eBay!
Thanks for the tip! I picked up my free Rolaids tonight!! I was hoping my Walgreens would have some of the St. Ives body wash in, but no luck!
My store only had the 9 count for that price with register reward (at least, that was what was marked), and the Q is for 12 count or greater, so no go for me. Hope you all get some free Rolaids though!
I'm new to this, and was in tears tonight when I realized my $7 in RR expired YESTERDAY!! (so sad that this brought me to tears, I'm prego) I ran to the store and got my rolaids, although they rang in at 3.49 not 2.99, and tried to pay with my expired RR (ready to beg)and my 1 off coupon and THEY TOOK THEM!!! I AM SO EXCITED! Our cakesters here in Sacramento are 2 for $7, so I didn't go for that. But my question is, do most WAGS take expired RR or did I just get lucky?
Sheila:
I never heard of it so count yourself blessed. I'm in San Diego and the cakesters are 2/5. Maybe you should just have them scan them, Wags has wrong tags and prices even on clearance. Example, a while back wags ibuprofen said clearance $1.04, they were .25 and 2 wks ago clearanced kleenex said $1.87 and sold for .62. Did you buy 2 rolaids to use your $7 and then did you get a $2rr. My store has the rolaids for $3.49 also. Are you noticing our 9 cent tax?
Its crazy cuz they tax the full amt. before Q's and rrs.
Jackie,
I got a 9ct large rolls Charmin toilet paper for $4 and then the rolaids $3.49 and two caramels (I didn't realize that with the dollar off coupon for the Rolaids it'd bring my total below $7, so I had to add something quick)I got back $2 RR and then went and bought the St. Ives using those and got back $3RR. I think I'll give the Cakesters a try, they look so good...mmmmmmm! Thanks! I guess it WAS my lucky day! --and yes, the tax is a bummer!!
Has anyone heard about Walgreens only accepting one RR per transaction? I could not use two RR at the same time. Is this new or maybe only at my Walgreens. I ended up doing two different orders and used 2 RR slips. I will not be back if this is their new policy. I was told orginally by the Walgreens people that these could and were to be use like cash.
Anon -
I don't think that you can use more than one register reward per transaction. I know that you must have the same ratio of items to coupons. It is similiar to cash but there are stipulations. Read Collin's section about this at

Hi,
You can use more than one register reward, but you need to have the correct item to coupon ratio for it to work(since they consider the register reward a coupon).
Was this just for last week? or is it still working?
