Staples will ONLY take Office Depot coupons when they are hard plastic coupons or paper coupons from the mail. They WILL NOT take printed ones.

The Office Depot printed coupon worked for me today. Thank you so much for the suggested scenerio. I was able to get all you had listed to get over the $50 mark to then benefit from the $10 off...thank you again for all you do to provide us with details on the best deals around. What a blessing!

My Staples wants to do it, but could not figure out how to enter it... HELP - how did your get it to work???

My Staples also would NOT take the printed coupon but I had a cardboard one from the mail that they accepted without any problem.

Thanks for summarizing these great deals! I got everything on your list and just submitted my online rebates - VERY easy!

The Staples in Champaign, Ill., took the $10 Office Depot coupon without any troubles. Got the deal just as you described. Donating it all to kids who need school supplies to start the year since it was all free to me, so thanks so much for the help!

My Staples in Texas took the coupon but at first only $2.98 came off and then he had to manually take off the rest. I'm not sure what happened. I was able to get all of the items listed. Thanks for the scenario!!

My Staples (Madison, AL) took the $10 coupon - looking at the receipt, it looks like they ring it up by doing a price guarantee and take $10 off one item.

Thanks everyone - I finally got it to work - WATCH OUT - DO NOT LET THEM PRICE GUARANTEE the BACKPACK. That rebate comes with your rewards check and it is only what you paid. To make it work, you need to adjust the easy rebate items. Mine took $8 off the stapler and $2 off one of the $4.99 items.

Office Depot coupon worked here! I love Staples, they are always so
"easy" with coupons and rebates and never hesitate to price match competators. They did have to apply the coupon towards one of my items to make it work, she applied it to the photo paper so hopefully I will still get the full rebate amount back. Thank you!

I used a printed Office Depot coupon today at Staples with no problems. :)

There is also a $15 off $75 printable that you can find on-line (sorry don't know where I found it this morning), but I used it today without any trouble, indeed they entered it as a Price Guarantee and the cashier was careful on her own to not enter it onto the backpack. I paid $64 out of pocket and will get $66 back in rebates. I got a $20 backpack, the pencil sharpener and all the free after rebate school supplies, 2 packs photo supreme matte paper (I love this stuff, prints great photos for projects), as well as $7 worth of other school supplies. It was awesome!

How does the rebate program work at Staples? Do you get a check, or just a coupon for the $$ off a future purchase?

Emily,
When you purchase the rebate items at Staples, it will tell you on the receipt if it is cash back (a check) or a Visa debit card...it also tells you in their ad. The good thing about their rebates is it is so easy to do on line...no mailing involved...although I did have to mail a candy rebate, but it wasn't a Staples rebate.

Last time I used an Office Depot coupon at Staples, they adjusted the prices of the 2 label makers...I thought maybe my Visa card would reflect the discount, but it didn't...I got the full value for each.

You would think for the fact that they accept competitor's coupons, that they would implement a way the register can accept the coupon!

my staples (philadelphia suburb) would not accept the office depot but i mentioned that last week there was a $5 off twenty and they gave me 5 off. oh well, not as much of a money maker but somewhat

My Staples just took it off, called it a manufacturers coupon and gave it a number. Continuity people.

Is the Staples Reward like a gift card to Staples or is it a check the same as the easy rebate?

TIA

When I've shopped at Staples, they said I couldn't use the Office Depot coupon AND get the Easy Saver Rebates - anyone have a problem with doing these two together?

Just wondering if anyone knows how long it takes for the easy rebates to go through?

My Easy Rebate took about 3 weeks. Just got the check in the mail today. Don't throw it out though, it looks like a little postcard like those offers that fall out of magazines all the time.

Thank you soooo much! I'm a teacher and I spend so much on office supplies during the year out of my own money (things for the kids to use...) This really helps me tremendously. I ended up making abotu $3 because I bought a few of the $1 items in addition and was able to use the coupon. Excellent deal!!! So excited. :)

the backpack deal is not for cash- you get the cost of the backpack in Staples rewards- sort of like RR's at Walgreens. But, I always need ink!

My Staples would not take the Office Depot coupon either. Does anyone know if there is a written policy that says they will take competitor's coupon?

Here is the way to get a bunch of items for less than

$5.00 after rebates

1st cut out the spend $30.00 get $5.00 off coupon out of the flyer

2nd grab the two packages of the Hammer mill copy plus paper each are $6.29-$2.30 right away then you get $2.99 using the easy saver rebate final cost $2 for two

3rd grab two packages of Canon photo paper $9.99 each-$7.99 when you do the easy saver rebate equals $4.00 for both after the easy saver rebate

So so far you have spent $7.98 for the Hammer Mill paper and $19.98 for the Canon photo= $27.96 you will need $2.04 of what we call filler products. You can buy 9 of the $.25 items or something $2.04 or above. This will put at $30.21 without tax then you will apply your take $5.00 off $30 coupon for $25.21 out of pocket

You will go home and Click Here

Fill in the rebate form you will get $5.98 total for the Hammermill paper and $15.98 for the Canon photo paper= $21.96

So the total you end up spending is $3.25 without tax

So you will get 2 packs of printer paper, 2 packs of photo paper, and nine other products
