I just wanted to say thanks, like everyone else. I constantly refer people to your blog when they admire my coupon binder or say they need to learn to coupon. I find your blog beginner friendly and super easy to use. Thanks again.
Im a newbie, when you say use coupon from 6/28RP does the 6/28 mean that is where the date the coupon came out?
Anonymous - Yes. The date refers to the Sunday date in which the coupons appeared in the paper.
RP - Red Plum
SS - Smart Source
PG - Proctor & Gamble

Anon - One more thing - go to Hip's home page, look on the left handside and click on Coupon Jargon. That will give you a list of the abbreviations and an explanation.

Thanks Tawanda!
I thought that you could not use two coupons for the same item on a buy one get one free sale. Am I wrong?
anon- it depends on the cashier, for wags anyway. CVS does that no problem :)
Technically, in Walgs policy it says you cannot use 2 coupons on the BOGO free sales, but you could try and see if it goes through. I think they get reimbursed either way.
I don't think that I've ever sees that qualifier when using coupons on BOGO free offers. I just used 2 Qs on the Purex deal today, and I had no problems.
I have had ALOT of problems using two coupons on BOGO items they will not let me at all. My store is really careful and watch every coupon i use, also if the item is free they will not let me use that item as an item that does not already have a manufacture coupon used towards it already to be able to use it to spend one on my RR because they say the item is free so it does not count. this make me so mad i would love to be getting the same great deals other people are out there getting!
what is wallgreens policy on BOGO?
Last week there was a BOGO hair gel (got2be) for $4.99 I had two $2 man coupons and the wallgreens took them both no problem.
Today I went to a different wallgreens and that starbucks icecream was BOGO. I had 2 $2 off man coupons, plus to $1 coupons. I bought four, so two of them should of been .39 cents the other two should of been $1.10 or so. They would not take the coupon off the second BOGO.. saying they couldn't take off something that was free.
My thinking is the manufacturer doesn't know they are having a sale, and the computer will ring it up just fine, but my checker wouldn't even try. She said that was fraud and she could get fired for trying. They also made me feel horrible for trying. This was going to be my first time trying multiple transactions.
as far as walgreens having a so called policy on BOGO when i called to ask and complain about this, they told me there is no policy just GUIDELINES which i think is crap but they just told me that you can not use a coupon on something that is free. and yes the computer will let it ring up but the checkers are the ones that will not allow it. i dont understand what the problem is because they are getting their money from the manufacture anyways. i was not allowed to use the coupon buy one off starter kit and get a refill free and the $2 coupon at the same time because of the same problem they said one was free. i am getting so tired of walgreens guidelines. but what really gets me is that i have read other peoples blogs and some people say they called corprate with this problem and they got an email that they printed off and took to their store with them stating they could do this and now they no longer have any problems, why cant i get that response from corprate too?
I went to WAGS yesterday and was able to use 2, $2 coupons but I have had mixed results. What works best for me is to try different stores and build a relationship with the cashiers. They seem to be a bit more flexible then. Also, if you just try asking them to scan both, it generally seems that they are willing to try it. Or, generally speaking, younger cashiers seem more open to using 2 coupons on a B1G1. Not sure if that helps anyone. If they tell you no, just say you don't want it and try a diff Wags!
I had a problem with the register/computer not taking my Starbucks coupons because they rang up free when I purchased the Ben&Jerry's at the same time. I apologized profusely and asked the cashier to let me ring the Starbucks up separately from the B&Js. She voided them, I completed my B&Js transaction and then she rang up my Starbucks and the computer took both coupons.
I would love to do the BOGO Osteo Bi-Flex with coupons, but my 6/7 RP didn't have a coupon for this...Has anyone else found this coupon?? thanks for any help. ~Melanie
i went to walgreens for the starbucks deal. Bought 4 (4.79 for 2) and used 2 coupons worth 2$ each but for some reason the total came out to be 5$. Does anybody know why? Thanks.
Because you only used 2/ $2 coupons.
