I just received my orders from the clearance section and the sewing machines. I love them. I ordered several separate items so I could use these as Christmas gifts. I ordered on 8/21 and got them today. You won't be disappointed at all.

Also, to add to my comment. You can use coupon code BHRPKG20 to get 20% off of your highest priced item if you decide you don't want the sewing machine. So, later you can get a clearance item for an additional 20% off.

I did too, but the site kept trying to sign me up for credit cards and something that would take $12 out of my credit card a month?? I clicked no but it seemed weird to me....

How large is the sewing machine? Is it really basic or pretty nice?

I have ordered from them before and it took FOREVER for them to ship the items. I did get it and they were in good condition.

Honestly though, that sewing machine looks SUPER cheap and probably won't sew anything. I have been sewing for 30 years and have taught lessons for many years as well. People come to my classes with cheap machines like this and the thread gets caught/snuck every 5 minutes.

I don't think its worth getting unless you just wanted to give it as a kids gift or something LOL

that should have said STUCK not SNUCK lol

Thanks! I don't want a battery operated machine...that helps a lot!

I went ahead and did a few orders for this. Like amy99s said, it does look really cheap/crummy! However, that would actually be okay with me, if it's as small and portable as it looks. I have two regular machines already (one being a very expensive, high-end embroidery/sewing machine and the other a fairly basic Singer), but it seems like these cheap things would be great for throwing in the car with me when I'm working on a project (which is quite frequently.)
So I figured one for my use, one for my husband's use, and one to give my sister since she doesn't have a sewing machine and would rarely use it anyway, but would be nice to have on-hand. Since I found four other clearance items I wanted to purchase, I did four separate orders. In total, the machines added only $12 extra, which I think is pretty good for 4 disposable machines, hahaha.

Also, their clearance price on the Wilton giant cupcake pan is awesome! I've been looking for a good price on that darn thing for a couple of months now.

But yes, I would definitely advise any and all to not buy this for a primary sewing machine! You're definitely way better off getting a basic Singer. I got the one I have from my old college (free!) where it had been in use for hours every day for at least a decade, and the thing STILL runs like a champ.

I just placed the order for washcloths priced 4.78 + 4.99 for shipping. The sewing machine was added to my cart for free! But after reading the reviews on this machine, I am not too excited about it. But hey, it's free... I am sure it's worth at least for the $10 that I just paid.

I have ordered from Brylane Homes every time they have these free deals, and it is wonderful.

Once I do the trials, I get everything for free. I got two summer salad sets, and two sewing machines for $1.98. Yay!

I always do the rebate deals at the end, too, and those programs are great about redeeming the rebates. Always consider trial offers, they are well worth your time.

I will say, the free items are never anything top quality. BUT, they are free and meet the needs.

I picked up the sewing machines and am excited to use them just for the patches on my sons cub scout uniforms. I don't sew at all, and needed something just for these odd times like this!

It is only valued at $29.99, so it is not a machine you will want for all your sewing, but it will be perfect for a gift for a college student or someone going out on their own for the first time, and may need to sew or fix things here and there.

For $1.98, I couldn't go wrong.

It is a great deal for a free machine for sure...I do think it would be a perfect college student gift idea!
