CVS Hidden Deals + Walgreens Clearance Find!

CVS has a great FREE hidden deal available! I've heard now from a few readers that the 10 count box of regular and super CVS brand Tampons are priced at $1.89 and generate a $1.89 Extra Care Buck--making them FREE! This is a limit of one per household. (Thanks, Jane & Kara!)

Also, Walgreens has another HOT clearance item available--that will make for a nice moneymaker! The Tylenol Extra Strength caplets day/night are on clearance for $1.89. You can use the $1 or $2 coupons available in the 6/7RP or 7/26SS. You can also print a $1 coupon from here. I would suggest using the $1 coupons over the $2 coupons because that way you won't have to deal with the coupons beeping. There is also a monthly Register Reward deal available on Tylenol products: buy 2 or more and get a $5 Register Reward.

Deal Scenario:
Buy 2 Tylenol Extra Strength caplets day/night $1.89 each
Total=$3.78
Use 2 $1 coupons or 1 $2 coupon from above
Pay $1.78
Get back a $5 Register Reward
Final cost FREE + a $3.22 moneymaker!

(Thanks, Claire!)

I purchased the velveeta shells and cheese today. I purchased 4 for free( with coupons) and I got 1 RR back.

I was able to print... you just have to select the offer from the right side (product listing)... prints for the very first product are gone.

I tried twice - the first time i did not click on the "i would like to hear more . . . ." and it said that the offer was no longer available but then i tried again and clicked the more info box and I was able to print the coupon for the first product. Silly that you have to sign up for more info to get the coupon though.

I wonder if you could use 1-$2/1 coupon and 1-$1/1 coupon to bring your out of pocket total even lower? Anybody know or tried?

has anyone actually been able to do the wags deal? i went and had 3 different Tylenol extra strength sizes sizes scanned and none of them came up @ $1.89. I just looked in the regular pain relief section - are they in a clearance section . . .???

my walgreens also has a TON of allergy medicine on clearance, yesterday I was able to buy 13 boxes of 4 different kinds of allergy medicine, body wash, 8x10 picture, scotch bubble mailer, and body wash for only 8 dollars out of pocket and still have 5RR left. I started with 7RR. I was pretty excited.

by the way I had to do 4 transactions to get it for only 8 dollars out of pocket, but definantly worth the little bit of extra effort.

My Walgreens (Michigan) has Zyrtec for children with hives on clearance for $3.19, I used 2-$2.00 coupons bringing it down to $1.19 a bottle and it spit out a $5.00 Catalina. Not a bad little moneymaker.

Thanks for the tip, Donna. I just got some of that Zyrtec. Couldn't find the clearanced Tylenol, though.

where does it say the tylenol deal buy 2 get $5 RR? I just went to walgreens and bought 2 tylenol extra strength caplets for 3.29 each, but no RR came out. I can't find it on the ad either, so i can't argue with them =(...can u let me know where i can find that advertisement and which day/night tylenol (how many counts) is the 1.89 clearance one? thanks

Esther...I had the same thing happen. I bought two tylenol BOGO...and no $5 RR. I must say I was a little disappointed. Hip2Save where did you get the info that these are supposed to print out a $5RR??

I had a reader with that problem, and I forgot to test it out for myself. Maybe it's just the one type of Tylenol that works? I'll try to check it out today.

I had he same problem with the tylenol, they already ha it bogo at my store so I thought I would try it an no RR and no signs saying there should have been one....hate when that happens.
