FREE Huggies Wipes w/ the $1.50 Coupon!

Sandra just commented on the Huggies Wipe Walgreens deal scenario post below that she was able to use the $1.50 on ANY Huggies Diaper Product coupon from Coupons.com on the Huggies Wipes! The coupon does state ANY Diaper product, so it should work fine on the wipes! This should not ONLY make Huggies wipes FREE at Walgreens, BUT also FREE at Kmart--especially during doubles and possibly FREE or really inexpensive at Walmart too!

Updated Walgreens Huggies Deal Scenario:
Huggies (72 ct) Wipes $2.79
(that was the regular price in my store)
Use the $1.50 coupon from Coupons.com
Plus, use the $2 Walgreens Back-2-School coupon
Final cost FREE + possible overage!

I tried to use a manufacturer coupon and the Walgreen "Back to School" coupon and it beeped. The manager came and said that the Back to School coupon says in the fine print it is a manufacturer coupon so I couldn't use both. I pointed out the fact that the Back to School coupon does not start with a 5 and I should be able to use both. I walked out of the store with NOTHING!!!

I think if you have them scan the MQ first, then the Back to school coupon it doesn't beep. That's how I have done it the past 3-4 times I've gone to WAGS.

Anonymous said...

Has anyone tried this at k-mart?

Anonymous said...

I don't think this will work on the wipes. It's not a diaper and the coupon says a diaper product, not an accessory.

COLLIN,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY:)
YOU ARE THE BEST...THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO FOR ALL OF US EVERY DAY.
HAVE A GREAT DAY WITH HUBBY AND THE KIDS.

You have to use the MQ coupon first and the coupon on coupon.com states on ANY Huggies Diaper Product and wipes is considered under their product line. I have used this sucessfully 2 times now this week and last at my Walg. It doesn't hurt to try especially because it is working for allot of couponers :-). I always try a different store if I have a problem and 99% of the time it works at another location.

Good Luck!!

It says 'diaper product' quite clear - lets use this appropriately - on diapers and not on wipes... :)

This is off topic, but hoping someone can help. I can't seem to print bricks coupons in black and white. I've set my printer settings/preferences to grayscale printing. Everything else I prints prints in black and white, except for the coupons.com coupons. They automatically print in color. Anyone else ever have this problem and know how to fix it. Sorry if I should be asking this question somewhere else, just wasn't sure where to ask. Thanks for any help!!!

annon- you don't consider wipes a diaper product? humm...what are diapers without wipes..? I totally consider wipes a diaper product, and that is NOT mis-using the coupon. ... :)

stella said...

and walgreens takes internet q's??? is that in their policY?

Jami STL said...

I agree in the thinking that wipes are a diaper product, think of it as a "diapering product" they are products used in the diaper process, a diaper product it would be different if people were trying to use the coupons on something that was not diapering such as soap or sunscreen.

Jen,
I have the same problem as you are having...from what tech support at Hewitt Packard told me, coupons.com does not allow you to print in black ink only...I don't know why. Yeah, smartsource and PDF print in black ink only. I thought something was wrong with my printer. Maybe we should send some emails to coupons.com...maybe that's something that they can look into...they want to save us money by giving us coupons, why not help us save money on ink?

Amy said...

Someone on HCW called the manufacturer about this and they were told that this is NOT OK to use a diaper product coupon on wipes. They said they put out much higher value coupons for diapers than wipes.

Jen said...

Thanks Fran for your response. I am going to e-mail coupons.com. That policy really doesn't make any sense as some printers only print in black in white anyway, like my work printer. My boss lets me print coupons at work and I don't have any problems using black white coupons. How silly.

I think that wipes are definitely diaper products! Huggies puts out enough coupons that are worded differently, so if they intended for this coupon to be used specifically on a package of diapers, it would state that. I would think that this could be used on any type of Huggies diapers, wipes, pull ups, pull ups wipes, changing pads, or similar product (do they make a diaper rash cream?). This is similar to their any Huggies bath or body product coupons...I wouldn't try to use that on diapers, but again, I would think that type of coupon could be used on any body product (body wash, lotion, wipes).

At my Kmart wipes are around $3.69 so they would not be free unfortunately. Alos, I print coupons.com coupons in black and white with no problem. All I did was select print in gray scale. ???

fran said...

Jen,
You're welcome. About 2 months ago, when I went to Walgreens, I had 2 colored coupons and 2 black ink only coupons for the same item...the cashier asked his manager if he can accept copied coupons...he assumed the black ink only ones were copied, so I had to educate him and show him the different codes on each coupon.
I will send an email too...maybe we will be heard, and something can be done about it.

fran said...

Mariah,
That's weird...Jen and I both have ours set in grayscale. I wonder if it has to do with the brand of printer.

This is off topic, but: Can you only redeem coupons from Shortcuts.com once? Thanks!

The coupon is reached its limit.

Typically I have seen that if the first set of UPC numbers have 3 zeros, the coupon will work for any product in the company's product line.

I always get a laugh out of the people that complain about using coupons as they are intended. Couponing is about finding ways to make the most out of what's stated. If we did everything as it was intended, couponing wouldn't be what it is because sales are about having loss leaders to get people into the store so they'll balance out the equation by buying normally priced products. Do we do that? No? Then we are going against what is intended. If anyone wants to complain that we're messing things up for others . . . what about the unknowing teenager who wanders into Walgreens without a coupon or a sale? She's the one that gets screwed because Walgreens is catering to us and taking advantage of her to balance out the equation. If the comnpany didn't "intend" for the coupon to be used on things other than diapers, then why wouldn't it just state "diapers?" Their mistake, their loss. I buy enough diapers and wipes and other baby products to not have an iota of guilty feelings. And I'm quite sure Johnson & Johnson doesn't "intend" for their dollar coupons to used on soap buddies, and Neutrogena doesn't "intend" their dollar coupons to be used on beauty bars. But they are mega corporations and we are individuals. We get what we can.

OT but can someone tell me how to print more than 1 of these coupons from coupons.com? I saw where someone used 4 of these coupons but when I printed 1 and went back to print another, this coupon was gone. Thanks

Just got back from Wags, used the 1.50 Coupons.com IP & WAG's 2.00 coupon. It worked like a charm! Didn't beep or nothing. The cashier, scanned the WAG's q first, too of 6.00 for 3, then took the other coupons. Yeah! Wag's just might redeem themselves in my book. I had 2 IP q's & one from the newspaper.

Anon: To print more than 2 coupons off coupons.com, you will need another printer/computer set-up.

Anonymous said...

I thought about using the diapering coupon on wipes, but just didn't feel right about it. As it is, the $2 off wipes Wags q is a misprint. I see how some are stating 'their mistake, their problem', but since none of us are perfect, I hope that we would extend the same grace and treatment to others that we would like extended to ourselves. Even if they are just a big corp.

I won't use the diapering coupon for wipes; IMO it just isn't worth the crummy feeling I would get just to save a few cents.

Steph ... thank you! (re: printing more than 1 coupon)

Anonymous said...

Anon - re: printing more than 2 Internet coupons, if you have more than one laptop/computer, you can hook it up to the same printer. That is what I do. I have 2 laptops and one printer, I just hook up the second laptop to the printer and print away!

Anonymous said...

thank you dana - nicely said :)

Jenna said...

let me just say that I have been using these at Wags with the Back to school coupon quite a few times. I actually went there yesterday and bought a lot of wipes. hand them the mfg coupon first then the B2S coupon. I used the 1.50 for two wipes. So I bought 10 wipes handed them 5 1.50 coupons and then 1 B2S coupon and my total was 2.25 for 10 wipes plus I got a $5 RR for spending $25 or more.

I certainly try to save every penny possible, we have eight children and one income, but I also think we have a responsibility to use coupons wisely. IMO, if it feels questainable then I won't use it. I think when we try to "abuse"(just my wording!) the sytem it gives couponers a bad name. JMHO! Obviously everyone's comfort level is different! I called the manufacturer also. This is a Diaper coupon period they said. If intended for wipes it would have said any Huggies Product. Just passing along the info.

Sue said...

I bought two earlier in the week for $.29 and then two today for free plus the $.71 overage. No problems for me. Today's were the last two in the store. Thanks for posting the Walgreens deals!!

Anonymous said...

How much do you think they make on those wipes? Those of you who are saying what a terrible feeling you would have abusing the system. What about the companies that overcharge us? Do you ever think of that. I would bet it costs .60 cents to manufacture that larger size of wipes they charge 5.99 for. Jeez you guys.

Anonymous said...

Huh? Jeez you guys? I think everyone should just do what they think is right. If you think you should be able to use it, fine then use it. I never think of companies who try to "overcharge" us when thinking a coupon might not be legit for a certain purchase. Funny how Anon brings up companies overcharging. For no other reason than a touch of guilt? Your in business to make money. That is what companies do. If you think someone is overcharging for something, DO NOT BUY IT. Period.

Anonymous said...

Um, why are people fighting on a savings blog. And we are overcharged on everything. Are we supposed to not buy diapers because they are overpriced. Anon was just stating a fact. It is a coupon after all. Huggies has been putting out coupons long enough to know what to exclude.

Anonymous said...

I got all the goodies at Walgreens today! Got $30 worth of goods for 50 cents plus $5 register reward!! AWESOME!!!!

Anonymous said...

I bought 3 boxes of wipes plus 3 softsoaps (3 separate transactions).
The coupons are more than what the huggies cost so I had to buy another item. I did use the manufacture coupon first then the Walgreens coupon. I learned today that Walgreens has a rule that there is a one item per coupon ratio. So for 3 items you can't have more than 3 coupons. I found the wipes to be 2.99 and the coupons come up to 3.50.
I was unable to get 5 dollar of 25 dollars worth of transactions since the guy made me do everything in separate transactions. Thanks, I totally ran out of wipes and bought cheap ones. Lo and behold, my little one is allergic to the cheap stuff.

Anonymous said...

People are just stating their opinion on whether they think they will/should use the coupon. I could say that just like Anon was "stating a fact"(not sure what that fact is though) so was another Anon. Thank goodness we have a variety of diapers, etc. to choose from when trying to save money (and sorry but a better product often, but not always, equates to a higher cost. Yep, it is just a coupon and if you feel you are entitled to use it, be my guest. Just do whatever you want. It is that simple. I am done with this thread because it is too negative. But not this blog because it's my favorite! We should still be respectful of others while stating our opinions. :)

Anonymous said...

I agree, people should respect each other's view. I do not use coupons if I get a bad vibe about them. I do think the manufacturer should exclude items, if they do not want a coupon used for those items. People are not perfect and lots of people look at it differently. It's hard to guess what a distributor is thinking when they release a coupon, unless they say it on the coupon ...

There is a package of huggies wipes at walmart for $1.50...they have polka dots on the soft plastic package. I got them for free yesterday using the diaper product coupon.

Jen and Fran,
I also have and HP printer. I found out that you cannot just go to the control panel, then printers, then right click to get the printing preferences. To really change it, when I right clicked I had to choose "properties" then under the "General" tab, click printing preferences there and choose what you want. This way seems to override anything else! It took me awhile to figure out. Hope that helps!

Another Jen,
Thanks for the suggestion, but that's what I do...you know what could be the problem, after I do all that there are the 3 buttons on the bottom right-OK, CANCEL, APPLY...I noticed my "APPLY" isn't highlighted, so maybe that's the problem...what do you think? Is your "APPLY" highlighted?

Anonymous said...

I have no clue what the problem is then! Sorry I couldn't be a help!

I didn't have any problem at all using the coupon on wipes at Kmart. Didn't even beep.

If you don't want to use the coupon on wipes, then don't. But don't feel sorry for the corporations. I've been in that world. They do all sorts of stuff and then act surprised when someone notices. And I'm talking about intentionally misleading things. When they mess up and the customer wins, it's just karma coming back around to get them. Does anyone really think that the actual person that made the mistake is getting any less fired or yelled at based on the number of people that use the coupon on wipes? LOL.

I noticed the Huggies Q in the WAGS Back-2-School flyer is marked $2 off on the front and $1 off on the back. If you have used it, what did it ring up as?

Sarah&Dave said...

I just used this on the wipes paid $1.66 for 4 tubs!1 woot woot. I did have however have a run in with the manager over using the register rewards. I had a $4 and $2. On it it says mq/rr cannont exceed the total numbers of items purchaced. which means you can use more then one on a transaction. He told methat was wrong and you can only use one.. so i said does that mean also in one entire transaction I can use only one MF coupon? And the genius said yes. So I just made him do 2 trans actions.. if he wants to work harder I will let him :)
