site is going SOOOO SLLLOOWWWW

hmmm seems a little shady...if you go to learningcurve.com it says the site is not available b.c of maitenience.

Anonymous said...

It's not shady. The site is/has crashed due to demand. Gotta love newbies ;)

I wonder what it means when it says "it's not carded" and it comes wrapped in tissue...so are these not new? Are they just taken out of the box?

Anonymous said...

I can't tell if it's wooden or plastic, anyone know?

Anonymous said...

It's a wooden train. The no card means it is out of box.

Anonymous said...

It says from the wooden collection.

Yay, got 2! Took forever, but $3.98 total is a great price for stocking stuffers or cake toppers if you make your own cakes:)

Got Two :)
Thanks!

If it's not in the box - how do we know if this was one of the Thomas toys recalled for lead.

Anonymous said...

They would be fined and closed down if they tried to sell banned items.

Learning Curve is not some small, by the wayside business. They are very reputable.

Anonymous said...

Got 2! It was slow, but worth it!

mashley said...

did you get an email confirmation that you ordered? I did my credit card info. Then just a screen that said Learning Curve next, no thank you for ordering or anything. I dont know if it went through.

Anonymous said...

Yes, I got a thank you page after I ordered and I got an email after that confirming my order. I'd call them up if you're unsure it went through.

Anonymous said...

Strange how I can get through Internet Explorer, but not through Mozilla.

The train doesn't come with a Certificate, which makes me wonder if these pieces are legit.

mashley said...

I did call, they said they cant check until it downloads in 3 hours.

Anonymous said...

Anonymous said...

I ordered some of these and a few other Thomas toys about a month ago when I first heard of the great deal. It is legit. I got my items in the mail. One piece was missing when it arrived, but I just called the number on the invoice and it was a quick 2 minute phone call and received my missing toy within a few days. They are not in boxes, just wrapped in tissue paper, but still look brand new, which makes them perfect for a stocking stuffer. They are wooden and small (like matchbox car size approximately, but taller since it's a train.) Great deal! Thanks Collin for all you do!

Register for a Learning Curve account, log in, and enter coupon code "LCFRIEND" to drop the price of each to $1.49!

Keep trying I just got my 3 for my grandkids. I kept trying every 10 min. Good Luck.

Anonymous said...

Just got mine too...took some time, but worth it. Tried the LCFRIEND code and it said it was invalid. Maybe becuase it can't combine with the free shipping offer?

Anonymous said...

Anonymous said...

Toby the Tram is also $1.99.

I have been on the site for an hour and a half and its going so slow that I'm still unable to checkout. I hope they still have some in stock by the time I'm able to get through.

is there a code for free shipping, because it is showing that I have to pay for shipping now? I did not go through the link Hip2save provided because it kept saying service not provided, so just searched for online and it says nothing about free shipping now...

I ordered from this site awhile back. This Thomas train has been priced at $1.99 for a couple of monthes now, and they have had other trains clearnanced too. I ordered Thomas, Toby, the Old Slow Coach, and a two pack of the Adventures of James. Toby and Thomas were $1.99 and they came wrapped in tissues without cards, but the other trains came in packages like you would normally find. When I signed up for an account, the WELCOME20 code gave $20 off a $40 order. not sure if that is still valid... it was awhile ago. Also, every time I have used this site, it is VERY VERY slow. Frustrating!

I got Toby, who was still $15 at TRU yesterday!

Kathleen said...

I ordered Thomas and Toby trains only 3.98 shipped. You don't need a code for free shipping. The site was a little slow but everything went through fine. Thanks Hip!

Shipping charges are appearing on my order. They must have changed it. Anyone else?

Momma Hughes said...

No shipping for me. Great deal. Site was not crawling either. Must be everyone is on their lunch break. ;) Got two Toby's and two Thomas' for less than $8. Love it!! Thank you so much for the head's up!

Mandy said...

In order to get free shipping you must go through the link provided on this site. If you go to learningcurve.com on your own, you will be charged for shipping. I tried it both ways. LCFriend did not work for me.
