Do I have any readers out there who get Advent Calendars for their kids every year? I'm a big fan of Advent calendars! I grew up doing them as a child and have such fond memories! I still get excited watching my kiddos open the little boxes everyday. Plus, looking at the excitement in their eyes makes it even better!
On to the point of my post, Advent calendars can be on the expensive side... especially if you want to get the varieties that have actual toys, not candy. My 8 year old is obsessed with all things Lego and as you all most likely know Lego's are on the expensive side and so are the Lego Advent calendars!
Kara, a reader, emailed about finding Lego City Advent Calendars at Borders priced at $29.99. She then used the 30% off any regular priced item coupon from here to score the Lego Advent Calendar for just $20.99! Now that may still seem expensive to some of you, but these calendars rarely go on sale. Amazon has the same calendar priced at $29.99, so you're getting a $9 discount going to Borders!

Awesome! Thanks so much for posting this. I was just about to leave work, when I decided to check your blog one last time. Perfect timing! I work right next door to a Borders. I just ran over and snagged one of these. The deal worked perfect. Thank you!!! My boys ask for one of these every year. They'll be so excited!
Does anyone know if you can re-use these year after year? Cute idea!
We love these! My 3 boys are Lego crazy! They are not really reusable. There are new pieces to put together every night, and when the countdown is over, we add them to our collection. I never thought to buy one at Borders! Thanks for the savings tip!
oh, too bad the q expires today :(
Can these be ordered online??
I buy the lego advent every year for my boys! Love it and it's never on sale so THANKS!!
they are a one year only calendar
Has anyone found the calendar on Border's site? I wish I were able to purchase this for my "Lego Freak" AKA son. Our Border's store is closed for the night.
I just got mine. My son will be so excited. Too bad today is the last day for the coupon, look for more coupons by signing your email up for the Borders Rewards program. It's free.
I couldn't find it anymore on the Border's website. My kids have had this the last 3 years but maybe not this year. Bummer!
i cant find it at borders..
I don't see a coupon on the link either. Bummer, my nephew would love this!
This advent calendar is available online at Barnes and Noble. Anyone have a discount code they would share?? Thanks!
