Target: FREE Chex Mix After Price Match!

If any of you have been able to successfully price match at Target, then here's a great deal for you:

Chex Mix are on sale this week at Walgreens priced at 2/$3. This is advertised in their weekly ad here, so just bring this with you to price match at Target. You'll also want to bring the various Chex Mix coupons that are available! You can use the $0.50/1 printables from here, here, here: IE or Firefox and here or the insert coupons from the 9/13 or 10/4RP. Plus, you'll need to bring the $1/1 Chex Mix Target coupon. Final cost after price matching and coupons--FREE! I'm not a huge Chex Mix fan, but FREE is FREE... and I actually did get hooked on the peanut variety! The seasoning mix they use in this variety is yummy! (Thanks, MoreThanCents!)

I'd also love to hear your thoughts on price matching at Target. Is it worth it? Is it too confusing? Let us know!

I stocked up on Chex Mix with those coupons the past couple weeks. I didn't pay over 45 cents per bag which is still pretty good. I have a great love for the Dark Chocolate kind!

I have only used Target's price match for Disney dvds. For example Snow white diamond edition was on sale (Blue Ray and Regular DVD) for $19.98 at Walmart but, I didn't want to go to Walmart. I went to Target showed them the Walmart add, gave them my $10.00 off coupon and paid $9.98 plus tax for the Blu Ray and regular version!!

Anon @ 10:07 - It's in the Walgreens ad, not Walmart.

Thanks for the link love. I have had success PMing at Target. However on two occasions it has been disastrous. I tried to PM a local grocery ad once and was told because it was on sale with my Price Chopper card I couldn't PM it at Target. For the most part if I go straight to Guest Services and checkout doing the PM first then handing over MFC and Target coupons I am successful.

I price matched the Liv doll from the Toys R Us ad this week for $14.99, but I had to go to Customer Service to pay, the regular cashier could not do the match she said.

Just thought I would let everybody know if they didn't want to try price matching to check the price because all the flavors except the original were price cut again to $1.61 at our Target which makes it .11 cents after the coupons!

Walmart is another store that price matches- fairly easy. I bring my shaws and hannaford flyers every week to Walmart when I grocery shop.
Thanks for chex mix tip

our target will price match but only at the service counter after the purchase.They also will not price match a 2/3.00 deal it has to say $1.50 in the add. lame !!!

I've price matched here in KS and have had to go to Customer Service to do it because the Cashiers can't do it. The only problem is if you have a lot of other stuff to buy, sometimes the Cust Serv people can't ring it up because it holds everyone up. I think the easiest would be to pay for all other non pm items at registers then take your pm items to customer service.

http://pressroom.target.com/pr/news/value/our-low-price-promise-facts.aspx

Our Low Price Promise Facts
At Target, we are dedicated to offering exceptional prices on items throughout our stores.

As of July 12, Target stores nationwide will match advertised prices from competitors on identical items in local markets, assuring guests that our products are priced right. We've been testing Our Low Price Promise in Target stores in the Denver and Orlando markets since March 2009 and in select Minneapolis stores since May 2009.

Our Low Price Promise showcases our commitment to offering low prices and value to our guests. We’re giving our guests peace of mind that they can get a great deal at Target.

We are confident we have low prices every day. However, if our guests happen to find a lower price on an identical single item – defined as the same brand and model number that is listed on a local competitor’s printed advertisement, during the effective date of the ad – we will match that price.

We are communicating Our Low Price Promise to guests through our weekly circular – in Sunday newspapers and online. In our stores, we’ve included signs at the front door, checklanes, endcaps, guest service desk, electronics counter and freezer sides.

It's still too early to gauge the impact of program but so far, guests have requested very few price adjustments.

How Our Low Price Promise Works

Within seven days of purchase, guests can bring the actual printed competitor ad and a Target receipt of purchase of the same item to our in-store Guest Service area to receive a price adjustment. Photos/copies of advertisements or receipts will not be accepted.

In an effort to ensure that our checkout lanes are efficient and quick for our guests, we’ll handle price matches at our Guest Service desk. If a guest wants to do a price match in the checkout lane, our team members will ring up an item at the current price and then direct the guest to the Guest Service desk to do the price adjustment.

Price matching will apply to current, local print ads for in-store products only. Our price-match policy is not applicable to Target.com or other online ads. The following is a full list of exclusions:

* Target.com or online retail promotion
* Competitor’s Free Product
* GiftCards
* Limited quantity items
* Open box or damaged
* Clearance or closeout
* Mail-in offers
* Services (warranties, assembly, etc.)
* Bundle offers
* Special order
* Sales-tax promotions
* Liquidation/going out of business
* Special financing
* Coupons
* Used or previously owned
* Display merchandise
* Pricing or typographical errors
* Club or loyalty

I am not sure it would be worth at it at ours. It is hard enough to even use target and manf. coupons. I really don't like ours.

I attempted to PM for the first time at my Target this week and was successful! I took in an ad from WalMart for the $.39/lb bananas and had no trouble. What a great deal since my little one eats a banana every morning!

I've had no problem price matching at my Target, the only requirement is that you go to the customer svc desk and that you have the entire ad from Walgreens or ToysRUs (not just the page that the item(s) are on).

I have PM at Target - and had great success!!! I make my entire purchase (a good cashier is essential), and I make sure I have the stuff that I want to PM on top. I hop on over to customer service - hand them my reciept, and the stuff if they want, and they give me my money back. It has never been a problem. I have never tried to ring my entire purchase at customer service, as it would be a lot!!!

I ran into Target today and my Target had clearanced the small, 3.75oz bags down to $0.68 each. My cashier took all of my $1 Target coupons off - my overage helped me buy $3.00 worth of other things...

The Target coupon was $1/2, but still a good deal. My Target had these at $1.17 per bag, so I paid 17 cents a bag with MFQ.

The only catch for the Target price match is that you have to have THE ENTIRE AD! Other than that you should be fine:)

i have a question. i dont know where to find the target store coupons.. the ones for a dollar off>? can you please tell me where!?

Not worth it at my Target, they were combining manuf + store coupons, then they stopped. I put in multiple complaints at corporate, nicely, which didn't get anywhere ... it's just easier for me to shop at Walmart.

I think Target problems are regional....we live in MN and I never have a problem with PM or coupons. Target also has lower prices then our Wal-Mart.

Theresa, if you go to the organic grocery deals coupon generator, the coupon is for $1/1

chex mix was 1.73 today at my target...i used the 1.00 target and 50cents man. coupons so they were only 23 cents...i stocked up! Had a great day shopping today...had to get a prescription filled for my son, used the 10.00 gift card coupon, pd. 8.00 for his prescription and got the 10.00 gift card which paid for 2 baqs of chex, a box of honey bunches of oats, a 10 pack of razors, a tube of neosporin lip care, and four boxes of the kellogs fiber one bars...w/ 60 cents to spare...also got a 5.00 gift card for purchasing the fiber one bars...so then I treated myself to the cute big red binder bag like collin has in her videos....total out of pocket today including prescription, new big purse and all the groceries/items mentioned above w/ tax was only 38.05..awesome! (This is only my second wk couponing, I'm ecstatic!)

I'm a fan of the new policy. I got 8 bags of Chex mix for $1. I just take my price match items to CS and pay for them there. They have a "competitor match" button on their register that makes it quick and easy. Both times I've price matched, they have commented on how simple it is to do. I was bracing myself for a headache, but it was the easiest Target transaction I've ever done.

TOTALLY WORTH IT CHEX MIX IS MY HUSBANDS FAVORITE.

total success! had to go to customer service but got 4 bags for .50!

when I tried to price match the $1.99 walgreens cereal last month my cashier had me ring it up at her lane along with my Target.com coupons & then take my receipt over to the service desk.- WRONG!!!

When the service desk tried to do a return & price override my purchase price (regular price minus the target.com coupons) was less than I was trying to price match them for. If they would have done it correctly they would have been about $0.25 each. I waited 45 minutes for them to figure it out with my toddler & they had the store security at the desk the whole time, like I am a criminal!!! Not Worth It in my opinion until they learn how to do it correctly.

Check the clearance end caps. Today I found Crest/Scope and Colgate/Toothbrush sets on clearance for $1.74. The colgate set included $10 of target Q's. I was able to use $1Qs For the Colgate(Total Enamel STrengh)making the total .74 and I also had a $1.5Q for the Crest making the total .44 I also found the Lyson Neutra air fresh matic air treatment on sale for $5.99. There was a $4Q on the site Hip told us about for the Lyson toilet cleaner Walgreens deal. So just $2 after Q it was on sale down from $11.99. I hope you can find some great clearance!

This worked for me!! At my Target I had to take everything over to customer service and have them ring me through in order to get the match plus the coupons. I first tried to ring the transaction through the cashier and then take my receipt over, but the system wouldn't let them re-deduct the coupons and it became a big nightmare.

I got 12 bags for 0.00 what a great day!
