WOrking on my book. The site is really slow with uploading pictures. I hope I am one of the 25000. My advice..start a book and work on other things while photos are uploading.

I got it too! It took quite a while. For some reason, it kept missing pictures that I loaded - some took several loading attempts to finally get them on. I'm not sure what the deal is, but it took a long time. But, it was worth it. I didn't see an option to change the layouts, but according to an annonymous reader you can. If I could do it again, I would change it so that it's just 1 photo per page, load them in and be done. It was kind of tricky getting my picutres to fit into the layouts they had.

I received the same error message an number of times - I just hit refresh until it loaded the page where I could work on my layout. So, if you get that error message, don't give up - just try refreshing and hopefully you'll be able to get it back up.
I never even get an error message or a message saying they are experiencing technical difficulties. After more than an hour I finally got all my photos uploaded, now when I go to layout the album it keeps telling me it is Loading......but nothing ever happens!
So frustrating! My 10 year old niece wants a scrapbook of our family vacation for her birthday and this would be perfect, if I can just get it to work.
How much time is too much time to spend on this? I can't afford to buy her much for her birthday, so this album would be perfect. Guess I'll go try again!

I was going to finish it this afternoon when I saw this deal. You saved me about 30 bucks! This site was indeed very frustrating, but you just have to keep at it. It took me a good 2 hours to finish it. That included getting kicked off a couple of times. I've got a great Christmas gift now though!! The deal still worked a little after 4 p.m. EST.

I just got mine done at 4:58 MT. It took a while, but not too bad once the site was back up. I wish you could have the words align in the middle instead of always aligning on the right, but I can't complain because it's free!

I was able to get it done, but it took most of the day, with some breaks. I just kept refreshing or using the back button. My husband's b-day is in 3 weeks and I've been wracking my brain of what to get him. He will enjoy his new album of our family. :) I am so relieved this went through. I just sent it, 7:05 Central time. Another tip, if you know you want it the way it is instead of previewing it (it takes a looooong time to load that page), once it is trying to load the preview page, on the upper right-hand of the page click the box that says something about ordering it the way it is and going right to shopping cart. it saved me a lot of time.

I just finished this. It is a bit slow, but I only did 10 pages. The BONNIE code took care of a book and shipping so it's all free. You do need to enter a credit card, but it's not charged according to my email receipt. Fun idea. I say stick it out, maybe only do a small book, you don't have to do all 20 pages and you can change the page layout to accomodate however many photos you want.

The site is VERY VERY slow...it took forever and I have made these books on shutterfly before so I'm not totally inexperienced and it still took almost 2 hours. But it was totally free so I'm happy :)
Couldn't sleep...came downstairs and decided this would be a great time to try to make one of these. Boy was I right...at 2am PST my photos loaded quickly. It takes about an hours to complete the entire book because you choose your layouts, pictures, text, captions, etc. Make sure you download alot of pictures. You can choose from 1-14 pictures per page! Can't believe this was totally free and that it's 8x11!

I finished my book last night!! I spent several hours yesterday getting my pictures to load and then putting the book together took more time. It was worth it though!! I am really excited to see the finished product. I did have a pay about $7 or $8 because I had added a few more pages. The coupon said that you could add more pages at your expense. So they still covered the base price of $39.95 and then I had to pay the difference. Still a great deal in my opinion!! Thanks for the info about this!!
site is slow again. i just wish it would work for five minutes so i can order the book. it wont show half of my pictures in the preview page. the help chat said not to order it if you didnt see it in the preview page cause thats what gets sent to the printer :(

I made my book last night at 12:30am PST. The pictures loaded really quick and then it took me about 45 minutes to design all the page layouts. I love how you can choose between 1-14 photos per page. My sister is going to love this!

Just got my free book, and it worked out great. Lots of page options, and was pretty quick to put together after the pictures are all uploaded. Had it sent to my mom, so hopefully it all turns out okay. Great gift, and you gotta love free! Thanks for the freebie info.

IT took forever, but I got it done and it looks AWESOME!!! You can do a live chat with tech support and ask them if they have any left. When I asked a few minutes ago, he said they have plenty left, but could not give me an exact number. Whoo hoo!!! To confirm for everyone, shipping was free, I paid nothing!
Woohoo it is still working! Just ordered mine and it was free! The pictures uploaded quickly also so the site must not be as bogged down now.
I find it extrememly hard to believe that those are still available, especially since I'm sure many people order a few copies with sifferent email addresses. I won't complain though because mine went through no problems :-) THANK YOU!!!!!!
Ordered it but had to pay $1.98. Not sure why but stii good deal. Wish it was free. It had/has me ticked off though. :(

It took me four to five hours to make my book, due to all of the problems with the site. I contacted customer service, who said the site was overloaded and the engineers were working on it. I had to log out and log in several times before I was finally able to submit the order. For anyone who's worried about doing all that work and not getting the free book, I'd say to go ahead and do it. Everyone is experiencing a problem with the site, so I doubt that 25,000 people have been able to finish their books.
You may have had to pay money because of tax or if you added more pages to the book(the coupon accounts for a free 20 page book and states that the customer can add more pages at the customers expense). I added some extra pages and I just had to pay the difference for the extra pages that I added. Shipping was free. :)

I just ordered my book. I didn't realize the website being extremely slow... I am so excited. We ordered it for my m.i.l. and she is going to die from excitement. My husband and I are going through college and this was the perfect present and even for a more perfect price!! Thank you! We ended up paying 6.00,, but we thought it was worth it. I think it happened because I had the winter theme--so beware. :)
