I was able to view the page with all 18 items. I then called and placed my order for an item that was about $14. Number is 877-734-6736. No credit card info was required with the coupon code. They are aware of the site issues. Per facebook and an online search, OpenSky connects you to experts and the products they love and use.

We call our experts Shopkeepers and together we're bringing humanity back to shopping.

I was just able to complete my order. Thanks for the great code!!!!

eh doesn't work
the page will load and stop

Anonymous said...

so there are only 18 items to choose from? i just want to make sure i am clicking on the right thing.

Anonymous said...

i called and placed an order. I'm a little worried that they wanted my credit card number even though she said it would not be charged....always sceptical about things like that especially since she told me the items would be mailed in 3-10 days and i didn't even give her the items yet. Hopefulle it's just from being really busy and not a scam.

Anonymous said...

I also called and they are just on overload. He was very nice, he know's of the problem that's going on, he said it's a good thing and of course a bad thing. He didn't take credit card info just my name, address, telephone number and email. I ordered one of the scrapbooking sets and the sachets, figured I would use the $25 to it's fullest w/o having to pay antyhing extra. Great deal. Thanks!!!

Anonymous said...

It took quite a while and a lot of page refreshing, but it did work for me! I didn't think it had, but checked and I had an email confirmation! Yay!

kimeve said...

Site is not loading for me either. darn!

Anonymous said...

Annon. 8:42, do you know the item numbers of the two items that you ordered? if I even knew the item numbers, I would call in to order something but I cant even get the page to come up that shows what they are selling. Thanks

Saving Money in Toledo said...

Just called and ordered the disney scrapping kit (didn't need the item #.) They answered the phone right away and took my order. She said they would be sending out e-mail confirmations later today.

Anonymous said...

what number are you guys calling to get through?!?

i keep getting rachel's am. :(

Saving Money in Toledo said...

Also, just checked and it said that the $25 dollars was valid on all open sky shops not just the Tasra shop. There are a lot of cool shops on this site. Hopefully the site will start working soon!

Chasity Bowles said...

I called too and ordered the ABC acrylic stamps.. we will see. I told her that I did not want to give my credit card # and she said that was ok.

Anonymous said...

Finally went through for me. I got a hand blender for $3.00!!!

Anonymous said...

I have called about 6 times no kidding. I finally left a message because I wasn't able to speak to anyone. For the people previously did you have to leave your name and number?

Anonymous said...

I was able to call 1-877-734-6736, a machine answer saying"Open SkY Leave your information, they will call back and they will HONOR all coupons when they call you back."

Anonymous said...

I can't even get the site to come up. It just says the link appears to be broken.

Anonymous said...

OH! I finally got another answering machine...coupons will be honored. haha...but they'll surely run out of items!!! :(

Jennifer said...

Just got my order for .78, Thanks so much for the code!!!!

Anonymous said...

Service Temporarily Unavailable. :(

Anonymous said...

Jennifer! How'd you do it?

Anonymous said...

Could anyone share what non-scrapbooking items they were able to get? I'm not a scrapbooker, but left my name on their answering machine. I'm trying to look at the other items online but can't get anything to come up. I'd like to be able to tell them what I want when they do call back. Thanks!

Jennifer said...

It took time but I ordered 2 embelishment sets for $25.78 and after the coupon it was $.78. I probably refreshed about 5 times so it did take awhile to complete.

Justin said...

Just called and placed my order as well. Gave them my name, address, tele, and e-mail as well as the items I ordered. One of the founders took my order and informed me that he would email me back later this afternoon to confirm the order. Was very friendly and professional.

Anonymous said...

I got thru on the phone order was placed yea!!!!!!

Justin said...

Oh, by the way, the best way to search for items since their site is down is to do a google search. Use the search terms "http://realwomenscrap.theopenskyproject.com/" and "scrapbook" and then click on the google's Cached version of their website.

If you do this well enough and mess around with it, you can get an idea of the items that they are offering.

Becky said...

I've been trying for hours and it finally worked!

Anonymous said...

Took some time, but I just got some free items. Thanks again!

it looks like the website is now down completely.

I called at 8:20am this morning central time and the man just called me back at 9:40am. Considering how busy they are this was good timing. I hope everyone else has some luck too!

I had to call 3 times before I didn't get the voice mail box, then she took my order and said it would be shipped in 3-5 days. She also said that they would send a confirmation email out later in the day when things calmed down. Hope it works out!!
Thanks!!

Took a long time to load with a few error messages, but kept hitting refresh and it eventually went through at 10:45 am EST. I was able to order the ABC stamp set. Thanks so much hip2save!

Anonymous said...

Looks like they are CloseSky

Anonymous said...

Finally after working with the site for two hours, my order went through and yes it was completely free with no credit card entered. I got the Artsy ABCs Acrylic Stamps for $17.98 completely free. Thank you for that one. Keep trying everyone. I don't think this deal will end. THey are just having a server overload.

Anonymous said...

I left a message and was called back; I placed my order. When I was asked for credit card info I told them it was under $25 and shouldn't have to give it and didn't feel comfortable giving it over the phone. He seemed okay with that. I was told I would get a confirmation e-mail.

Anonymous said...

Finally able to complete order...FREE!! Yay! Thanks Collin. Terrible slow site though...

Anonymous said...

I took Christines advice and I called the # 877-734-6736 and someone picked up right away.(so thanks!) since I couldnt get on the site. I just got the abc stamps also. I had no idea what there was.

Anonymous said...

Called them to place my order and they were extremelly busy, but they did return my call about an hour later. I was able to place my order but they did ask for my c.c info, I really hope it's not a scam. I'm anxiously waiting for their confirmation email.

Anonymous said...

REALLY.. ..My order when through on the website. No CC info to punch in.

Patience has paid off for me and my free new rake. RUN leaves RUN.

Anonymous said...

Not sure if my order went through but I didn't have to type in my cc number, don't feel comfortable giving it to a company that I don't know anything about. Guess we'll just have to see!

Alison said...

I was able to place my order for two free things. It's definitely slow going, but if you have the time I'd say it's worth it. Glad I was able to place an order before their site shut down.

Thanks for the info, hip2save!

Anonymous said...

ok...after my website link doesn't seem to work, I searched alot of websites on google, but I keep seeing "Win a $25 Gift Certificate for holiday shopping" which makes me wonder if they are just trying to get you to buy something and MAYBE "win" a $25 credit?...I will keep trying and see what happens. I'm not giving my credit card info though.

Sad day I love scrapbooking and wanted free stuff :(

To Anon with the rake,
Thanks for posting. I called...got through right away, the woman on the phone said she could take my order, but I didn't know what they had...she said they had too much stuff for her to tell me over the phone. So as not to lose out on this deal, I asked her the price of the rake. She put me on hold for like 19 mins., then came back and said she will have to email me, and I will be able to use code...we'll see. I would like to have seen all that they had, but if I get the rake, that will be fine. She did tell me the site will be up later, but when I asked if the code would be pulled, she said yes.

Thanks to you too Collin for the great finds today.

I didn't get through the first time, but just tried again and my call went straight through to someone. She took my name, email, and item #, and said that she would send an email with more info, and I would order through email. She said that I could use the code still, even though the website says that it is no longer valid. I just ordered the artsy abc acrylic stam set, since I can't see what they have. Keep trying if you have not gotten through yet!

Heather said...

I couldn't get through on the website, but called. It took a while of redialing, but I ordered the stamps. Thank you!

Already dead

GC said...

I am so frusturated that this is dead!!! :( I have been trying to log onto their site all morning. I was excited about this and looking forward to getting some scrapbooking products for a friend of mine.

Amanda C said...

I am also A LITTLE concerned about this site. I called and left the message on their answering machine and someone called me back. When I told her I was unable to load the site she started giving me some B.S about how she was going to have to talk to someone and see ig I could still order even if I already knew what I wanted. Then I gave her my address and she also asked for my credit card information. I told her I was completely uncomfortable giving it to her and she told me that she would have to talk to someone to see if I could still get the merchandise. When i asked her why she needed my cc number she said that they had to place the order so they needed the number. Which made no sense to me at all. So then I told her I would not give her my card number and she hung up. A little fishy to me!

Anonymous said...

The deal is done for the $25 coupons. =(

Anonymous said...

It is now 3:12 p.m. Central Time and I just got a call back from the voicemail I left at 9:30 this morning. They are honoring my order and the coupon code. I'm still a little skeptical and will be until I actually receive the items. However, the man who called me back was VERY professional and represented the company very well. I'm thinking positive thoughts.

Thank you all for stopping by Real Women Scrap and OpenSky! I'm so glad that many of you were able to call in and place your order.

Rest assured that it's not a scam. You will get your products if you ordered. The site is new and really just got overloaded beyond capacity. The response was tremendous and we are so excited about that. It should be live and back online now if you'd like to take a look at everything available. Right now there are 18 products in my store, but there are 50 shopkeepers total so lots of great, unique products across the entire site.

The original coupon codes have all been used today, but we are planning on another promotion in December. If you'd like to get advance notice, you can visit and subscribe to my newsletter at http://realwomenscrap.com.

Thanks again for stopping by. Those of you who were able to get something, I hope you enjoy it! For everyone else, please accept our apologies for the downtime and stop by again for another promotion later this month!

Has anyone ever ordered from this place before? The email I just got from them wanting all my info again seems scammy to me. What if we are all giving our cc #'s for nothing?

This is just soooo fishy.....

Hello OpenSky Customers,

What a day…

First off, enormous apologies for any inconvenience or frustration that you may have experienced today while trying to shop with us. We take your experience extremely seriously and will work to try to prevent these outages in the future (we really are sorry about that). At the same time, we are thrilled that you wanted to take advantage of our November coupon opportunity.

As we discussed by phone or through email, we are working diligently to process your orders and get your products delivered as quickly as possible. Unfortunately in a lot of cases we moved a little too quickly and didn’t get all of the information we needed from you. In an effort to make your shopping experience at OpenSky as successful as possible, it would be great if you can confirm all of the following information that we need in order to process your purchase (yes, in most cases we have some or all of this information, but we just don’t want to get anything wrong).

To complete a purchase, we require:

Your name:
Your billing/mailing address:
Your email address:
Your phone number:
Your credit card information (this will not be shared and is only required for validation – note that one of the many websites out there incorrectly stated this was unnecessary to provide to us – we actually do need this information – call 1-877-734-6736 if you are more comfortable providing the information over the phone):
More specifics on your order (from which store(s) and what product(s)):

Please e-mail me directly at Jasmine@theopenskyproject.com with your complete purchase information or with any questions.

Thank you for shopping OpenSky, and we look forward to serving you over and over and over again.

I sent them a discouraged email saying I had tried a couple of times and was even asked for my email for them to let me know when it was a good time for me to shop. When I went back this afternoon, it was closed. I signed my name and put my phone number. I received a phone call about an hour later from one of the cofounders, Alan Blaustein. He said they had an awful day and they would honor my coupon code. He emailed for my info and even said he would call me for the credit card info. He was very down to earth and appreciative of the order, even though in the end I was only paying about $2.

Anonymous said...

I just got the same kind of e-mail anon @ 07:13:00 PM just recieved. I am also a little worried. I didn't give any credit card info and when the women asked for it I told her I didn't have one and she said that was fine. So why now are they asking for all the info again along with a cc#? Can anyone explain this to me?? I sent them an e-mail asking how they take their orders in order for them to ask for the info again. I can't wait to hear it!

Anonymous said...

Well I provided the info over the phone including CC # and I still got the email asking for info so i don't know what they are doing?? did they lose it?

I got the same email. I tried to call to do it over the phone, but got an answering machine. I got a virtual CC# to use. I sent an email to Jasmine with my order...it was just under $25.00, so hopefully they don't do anything with my CC#...we'll see.

Yeah this does seem fishy, my order didn't go through but I also didn't give a CC number and I'm SO glad I didn't. Something doesn't seem right with this company!

Never e-mail your credit card info to anyone! It is not secure. I once did a Google search for something and clicked on one of the top results. It turned out to be a running page of a business's e-mail correspondence.
