Walgreens: $5 off $25 Coupon (11/22-11/23)
Walgreens just released a new $5 off $25 in-store coupon available here! This coupon is valid for 2 days only--from Sunday, November 22nd-November 23rd. Remember, though, this coupon has to be used after all manufacturer coupons and Walgreens store coupons.
**I will post a deal scenario to go along with this coupon when I post the Walgreens weekly deals on Saturday.
(Thanks, MojoSavings!)

Thanks! This works great for me since my daughter has been requesting Bendaroos and Walgreens has them. I am sure it is one of those gifts that I will never have a coupon for...so combined with a few other items it will help make this gift a little cheaper!
I didn't know what Bendaroos were, so did a search. On their main site they're advertising 500 Bendaroos -- 250 as the regular offer, then doubled, plus other things to give kids more ideas on how to use them, for $19.99 + $7.99 postage & handling. Don't know if that's a good price or not, but thought I'd pass it on.
Target and Walmart have that the 500 bonus pak of Bendaroos for around $15 the past few weeks.
Still fairly new at this & learning. Can someone answer a question though for me on this $5 off $25 deal?
Concerning:
"Remember, though, this coupon has to be used after all manufacturer coupons and Walgreens store coupons." My question, is the $25 amount that must be attained,is that $25 amount after say any register rewards have been deducted out. I have $7 worth of RR burning a hole thru my coupon organizer lol. Thanks
These $5 off $25 coupons are best when paired with register reward deals. That way it lowers your up front cost and you still get the RR. Last time one was out, I used it to get the Almay foundation that was $9.99 and gave a $10 RR + other items. That seems to be the best way to make use of it.
The last 2 or 3 times this coupon was out
my fantastic cashier let me use it first and
then all my other coupons after and it went through
with no problems and no beeps at all.
My OOP last time was like $2. So it just depends on your cashier and your store. Good luck.
Jeannie, as long as your cashier will take it first then you cna use it with any manufacturer coupons that take it below $25, however it must be $25 or more after all Walgreens coupons. If a walgreens coupon makes your total dip below $25 then it will kick the $5 discount off. So just be sure to calculate your total and then minus all Walgreens discounts and as long as it is $25 or higher you can use as many of the other coupons to lower your out of pocket. Be forewarned though, some cashiers are sticklers for the fine print and a RR is a mnaufacturer coupon so you may get shot down. If you do just void the transaction and try again with a different cashier at a different time. :) Mine have always been great at all of my Walgreens. I just hand it to them on top and if they start to shuffle them I just ask them to be sure to please scan that one first. HTH
I have a bad experience the last time they have the $5/25 in their ad. My total after all manufacturer and walgreen coupons were $26+ so I gave her the $5 off 25 and the total became $21+. I then gave her the RR that I earned from previous weeks )they are about to expire too). She said no no, she has to take all the RR and if it comes to $25 then I can use the $5!!!
It does not make sense to me but she was adament so I ended up voiding the whole trnasaction. My main purpose is to make use of the RR so I don't have huge out of pocket, right?
I am almost at the point of giving up going to walgreens as it is such a pain keeping up with all the RR and cashiers!
Publix is a much better shopping experience anytime.
Anyone else notice that the bar code doesn't have numbers on it?
Anon 6:25 - your cashier was correct. The total has to be $25.00 after ALL manufacturers coupons and Register Rewards are considered manufacturers coupons. Unless you have a cashier who is willing to take the $5/25 Q before coupons your total OOP will be at least $20.00. BUT if you buy the right items you should end up with more back in RR than you paid. My goal is always to pay as little OOP at the register as possible so the $5/25 Q's don't really appeal to me.
Here's a scenario to get close to $25...
Next week Nabisco crackers are 5/$10 with $3RR. There are tons of coupons out there to reduce the OoP.
Buy 10 boxes, get $6RR, and then submit for the Nabisco Jingle rebate. Save $10 rebate when you buy 10 participating products (PDF).
I love your Walgreens posts. A Walgreens in my city just opened, so I was finally able to use your tips. I got $34 worth of merchandise for $10. It was great!!! Thank you for your hard work to save us money!
Collin, is there a link anywhere on your site to the Walgreens coupon policy. I wanted to print it out to take to the store. I thought I saw it here before, but now I can't find it. Thanks!
rbabe1- Thanks for the heads up about the cracker deal. That sounds great. I would just need to add a few things to bring the total up to $25, but I'm sure that won't be a problem.
I just thought of another deal to use this on. 12 pack Pepsi products will be 3/$11 again with a $2 RR. Buy 6 of them for $22 and add another item at least $3. You will then get $5 off your purchase and $4 back in RR.
I've noticed that these aren't on sale as much as they used to be, so I think it's a decent deal.
Does anyone still want/need a November Healthy Savings coupon book? I found some at one of my Wags tonight and snagged a few. Would be happy to send in exchange for other q's??? Email me at sassy_red25@yahoo.com if you are interested.
This week stinks but I did come up with a scenario of all medicine related items that is a $6 MM (if my math is correct) after all is said and done. My store actually allows the coupon before all others so it turns out better but I never plan on it being that way because someone will change it when I least expect it. Check out my blog for the scenario to make $6!
