CVS: FREE Nive Body Wash + Profit 12/20-12/26

CVS has a sweet upcoming moneymaker on Nivea Body Wash! Starting next week, 12/20, when you purchase Nivea Body Wash for $5.99, you'll get a $5 Extra Care Buck (limit 1). Here's how to turn this into a moneymaker!

Deal Scenario:
Nivea Body Wash $5.99
Use the $2/1 coupon from here
Pay $3.99
Get back a $5Ecb
Final cost FREE + a $1.01 moneymaker!

I would highly suggest printing this Nivea coupon now. It may not be available for long. These type of coupons tend to reach there print limit quite quickly!

(Thanks, ForTheMommas!)

I couldn't find the coupon.

I always love these kinds of deals..I get something nice for me and I don't have to feel guilty about it.

Is there a certain zip code for this coupon? I don't see it. :(

The QT free coupon reset for me.

Anonymous said...

So does this mean you can only get one ever during the deal? or per transaction?

Anonymous said...

What Zip code did you use??? TIA

Anonymous said...

TRY 90210

Anonymous said...

I'm with the Anon above- are these ECB deals one per person?

Anonymous said...

I used 90210, no go.

I got it at 53226

Awesome! Now if I can only remember to do this on Sunday :-)

does "extra care bucks" mean you have to do a rebate?

Anonymous said...

Extra Care Bucks will print on the bottom of your receipt. Save it and use it on another deal. It's like cash.

I used Firefox (which I normally don't) and when the box popped up asking me for a zip code I clicked "no thanks" The Nivea Body Wash for Women coupon was on the first page.

It also showed up for me using 33897 and 90210 (of course then it was on the last page since I'd already printed it).

Does the ECB work like the RR at Walgreens? One MQ per item. If I purchase an item with a MQ, is it right that I need to get a filler in order to use the ECB? I am new to the CVS ECB. I appreciate it if you can help me.

Anonymous said...

wonderful, thank you!!!

fran said...

Anon,
I personally think ECBs are much better than RRS. ECBs print out at the bottom of your receipt, they expire in one month, and you can you them on any purchase...you don't need to add a filler. HTH:)

Anonymous said...

The ECBs spend like cash, but can only be used at CVS. There is no limit to how many you can use in one transaction. i.e. you can buy one item, use a manf. coupon and and ECB. Does that help?

If you're enrolled in MyPoints.com (to accumulate points towards gift cards, etc.), don't forget that they have coupons.com and smartsource.com coupons through their site. They are the same coupons as the ones directly on the coupon sites, and you can play around with different zip codes, but you get points for printing out the coupons, and points for redeeming them.

The coupons are listed under the "Deals" tab. I've tried to be a bit more organized about doing this, by using a highlighter to highlight the expiration dates on the MyPoints coupons, so that I use them first. It adds up!

For those asking about the "limit 1", that means you can get only one deal (and get the Extra Care Bucks) per CVS card. Now some people have two cards (one for each spouse, for example), so those folks could get the deal twice. HOWEVER, the ECBs are linked to your card, so you couldn't run the deal on each card, get 2 x $5ECBs (one per card) then combine those ECBs as $10 off on a later sale.

I hope that makes sense :) And if I'm wrong about this, please let me know, but my ECBs always print referencing my CVS card account number.

Does anyone know about the "scanners" at CVS that apparently pop out coupons when you scan your card? Where are they and what do they look like? Thanks

Anonymous said...

thanks!!!

Anonymous said...

to the last ANON
the coupon machine boxes are red and usually located in front of the store if not ask a cashier where is located they called scanner

Since most of the deal at CVS are limited to 1-2 per card I highly recommend to get multiple cards
I have 6 differnet cvs cards for these kind of deals.

Anon 10:26:00 AM 2009,
There is usually one scanner located in each store. They're just like the price checkers at Target and Walmart: a blue or red plastic box with a small screen at eye level and an area at the bottom to scan the barcodes from packages or your CVS card.

The location of the scanner varies from store to store. At one store I go to, the scanner is between the front door and cash registers. At two other locations they're at the end of an aisle (the end towards the center of the store, not the end by the outside wall).

Check with your local store.... some of them take expired ecb's. I just used some that were expired by more than a month. I had called the store one time and the manager told me that they will take them no matter what the expiration date is. He said their reasoning is that we earned them, we should get to spend them.

NOW... he did say they will not take expired $5 of $25 or $3 of $15 coupons.

Tami said...

Anonymous @ 10:36 isn't that over doing it? 6 cards? I can see one for yourself and one for your spouse, but 6??? Just curious about your rationale on that.

Thanks for all the fabulous tips everyone has on this one post! I love it! Great teamwork everyone!

Ladies, could everyone post whether or not their CVS stores accept EXPIRED Extra Bucks and EXPIRED CRTs...coupons from the machine/or at the end of the receipt?? My store manager asked the District Manager, and they said that it is CVS's policy to ALWAYS accept them. She said to encourage people to use them before they expire though. Then, I drive to a nearby town where some won't even take an ECB expired by 1 day. Other stores will not take an EXPIRED CRT at all. I am curious of what your stores do. We really need them to be consistent across the board.

I was already headed to CVS this morning, so I decided to print out the Nivea Q and do this deal.

Unfortunately, the CVS's in my area (Rochester, NY) aren't giving out ECB's with this particular product. My cashier even did the whole transaction to make sure...and, sure enough, no ECB's :(
She did give me a $2 CVS giftcard for my troubles though...so not too bad after all!

Anonymous said...

Molly jones, the deal is not until next week the 20th.

MollyJones said...

OOOPS! ha ha ha, I guess I will be heading back to CVS next week then... I must've forgotten to check the dates as I was rushing out to do my errands-- d'oh!

Molly,
This offer doesn't start until 12/20, as Collin stated in the post. You probably read it fast and missed that part...believe me, I have done the same thing...you get so excited about a deal that you don't read the post completely. A couple of weeks ago when Collin had the Photo Works freebie, I never went to the American Greeting site to get the code, I went directly to Photo Works in haste to get the freebie, and I used the wrong promo code, and got charged $5.99 S&H, which they did reverse the charge, but I could have save myself a lot of time if I had read everything. You will be able to qualify for this next week. HTH:)

it's still available!

6 CVS cards??? C'mon now...that just seems a little much. I'm pretty sure CVS doesn't run deals like this so that one household can clear the shelves. What do you have, four different names and fake addresses?? Aren't there ANY ethics anymore??

--Anyways, to try and answer a ?. My CVS in Nor cal will take expired ECBs but not expired coupons that print from the machines. HTH

Anonymous said...

There was also a $2/1 Nivea bodywash coupon in an insert somewhere.

Anonymous said...

Six CVS cards???? That is pitiful!
In my opinion and I'm sure many others that gives couponers a bad reputation. You are just cheating the system when you do things like that and making it harder on the rest of us that have good ethics.
Shame on you!
You were probably one of the people stealing the coupons out of the Glade candle tins.....lol

Anonymous said...

Anon 6:41 haha. I never saw in coupons in the Glade tins.

@ MollyJones....you're the first Rochesterian i've seen on any couponing sites! nice to know i'm not alone in Rochester!!...just wanted to say hi!

SIX CARDS???? Thats why no one else can get any of the deals. I think 2 is good enough. Shame on you!!

Lolo said...

to answer the question about expired ecbs, it is a mileage may vary deal. I have used them but they almost always call over the manager but what I have heard from several different ones is that if they are within a week of expirtation, they will MOST LIKELY take it. but it is not a guarantee.

To all of you bagging on the person with 6 cards SHUT UP! quit preaching your ethics. If you do not get a deal, I am sure it is not this person clearing your shelves. I personally have 3 cards and yes I have taken those coupons out of the tins and used them so HA! It makes me no less of a good person. If it wasn't so confusing I would have more cards too. ANd yes I often do more than 6 different transactions at Walgreens (not necessarily at the same one or the same day) so that would be equivalent to 6 CVS cards. So let people feel free to say what they want and quit being so JUDGEMENTAL. Being jusgemental makes you less of a person so think about that next time you go to spout off at someone!

Anonymous said...

LOlo....I think we can all tell you have no ethics and certainly no manners. Just curious, how do you justify STEALING coupons out of a product you didn't pay for??
And as far as being judgemental
look who's calling the kettle black!

I kind of think this site is supposed to be a friendly and supportive site for couponers...so maybe everyone could back off?

Thanks for the info about the body wash! I've been wanting the one that smells like apricots or whatever for awhile now. :D

Gee whiz people...take a deep breath...it's only coupons...man coupons either bring out the best in people or the worst...it cracks me up how literal some people are on this site! Thanks for all you do for us Collin...the sane and insane!
