Today at Rite Aid I bought the One Touch Meter and $11 worth of other stuff. When I handed the clerk (also the manager) my coupons, I put the $10 off $30 on top of the One Touch Meter coupon. He looked at both of them and then scanned the Meter coupon first and wouldn't let me use the $10 off $30 telling me it had to be before manufacturer's coupons. Does Rite Aid have a definite policy that says their in house coupons can be used before Manufacturer's coupons? Thanks, Edward

I'm pretty sure Rite Aid doesn't have a written policy regarding this issue. In my opinion, though, the manager should have excepted your $10 off $30 coupon.

Manufacturers coupons are just like using cash. The store gets reimbursed for the whole coupon amount from the manufacturer plus a handling fee. I would have explained to the manager that you are spending more then $30. If manuf. coupons lower your total it shouldn't matter to the store. I know some employees do NOT understand this concept. I wish they were all more educated about coupon use.
