What is a VIC card? And where do I get one?

It's a Harris Teeter loyalty card that will be scanned when you check out. You can get one either in-store or apply for one here (it's free)-

I don't want to make anyone sad, but I also don't want people to buy this and it not be free. You have to be signed up for their E-vic program for the purchase price to be automatically deducted, and this offer is only for select E-vic members. Each member's weekly E-vic offer is emailed to them, so you will know what your offer is before you get to the store. Mine was not the freebie of course. :( Hope some people did get this offer emailed to them!

Yeah - I tried this today and it didn't work. My guess is that this was the "special" freebie that some people get while others get a boring dollar off coupon. Oh well. It's odd that HT's website doesn't signify that it is not open to everyone with a VIC card.
