Kmart Promotions & Scenario!

Kmart has some sweet deals going on for Father's Day weekend! Right now through June 20th, you can buy a Kmart Gift card for $50 and get an additional $10 Kmart Reward card for FREE! There is a limit of 2 per customer, so you can actually get $20 in Kmart Rewards FREE! This is valid ONLY while quantities last, so I would Suggest heading on over there soon!

Oh and for those of you that don't know, the Kmart gift card can be used at Kmart stores, Kmart.com, Sears stores, Sears.com, Lands' End stores, Lands' End catalog and The Great Indoors.

On top of that great promotion, Kmart also has some other great deals going on:
  • Buy $50 in menswear and you will get two Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen movie tickets (up to a $24 value)! A Catalina will print out of the machine after paying for your purchases, This offer is valid through June 21st. Check out all the details on this promo here.

  • There is also a $10 off $50 coupon on Women's Apparel available here. This coupon is valid through July 5th.

  • The Kimberly Clark, SC Johnson and Unilever promotion I talked about when posting the Kmart Doubles Deals is still available through 7/13! Basically when you spend $20 or more, you get a $3 Catalina coupon to use like cash on your next purchase- spend $35, get a $7 Catalina Coupon or spend $50, get a $14 Catalina coupon! Huggies qualify for this promotion and like I stated in the double deals, this is a great way to stock up on diapers!

Here is a Deal Scenario I've put together to make the most of all these promotions:

  • Buy 2 $50 Gift Cards for $100 and get 2 $10 Reward cards.

  • Use one of the gift cards to buy $50 in Menswear and get the 2 FREE Movie tickets! Purchase an extra $5 in items (think toilet paper or another necessity)for a total of $55 and then use the $5 off $50 coupon. Pay with the $50 gift card.

  • Next purchase 5 packages of Huggies Pull Ups $9.99 each and 1 package of Huggies Wipes or a Bath & Body item priced around $2.99 (filler item to get your total up to $50). Your total will be $52.94. Use the $5 off $50 coupon, then use 5 $3 Pull Ups coupons from here, IE or Firefox. If you don't have access to enough computers to print 5 coupons, then use the $2 coupons from the 5/17SS. Also, use one $1 Huggies Bath & Body coupon. Final cost after all the coupons $31.94. Plus, you'll get back a $14 coupon to use like cash on your next purchase!

After all is said and done you'll have spent $100... BUT you'll still have:

$18.06 remaining on one Gift card
1 $14 Catalina coupon
2 $10 Kmart Rewards cards
2 FREE Movie Tickets (up to a $24 value)

If you take off the above earnings from your $100 spent, then you really ONLY "spent" $39.94 on everything below:

$50 in Menswear
$5 in whatever you choose to buy (from the Menswear purchase)
5 Packages of Pull Ups
1 Huggies Bath & Body Products

Pretty sweet deal, huh?

(Thanks, TwoThriftySisters for the heads up on these deals!)

I do not have a k-mart that is some wheelin dealin. Are you going to do it?

I tired to do the Huggies deal during doubles but the catalina didn't print. They said it was because I used coupons and I read about other people who had the same problem. But I also read a lot of people who were able to do it, so that might be YMMV type thing?

If you can use the $50 K-Mart gift card at Sears it would work great with the Buy $50 of Men's Pants get $50 Sears Reward Cash rebate. You'd have to hurry though - it's only good through 6/21. If somebody has a K-Mart and a Sears nearby it's a pretty sweet deal on men's clothes.

I am going to do the Men's pants
deal at sears tomorrow for my son!
I'll stop at Kmart first:)
Tahk you so much.

Does anyone know if the catalina coupons from Kmart can be used at Sears?

Michelle,
The coupons don't count against you -you should have still received the catalina! If you still have your receipt, call 1-888-322-3814 (catalina). They will want a row of numbers off of your receipt to verify your purchases (no receipt, no catalina). Then after they check on your receipt, they will issue your catalina and mail it to you. They can tell if the catalina machine malfunctioned, was unplugged, turned off...
I did the Huggies deal 3 times for 3/$14 catalinas. 2 didn't print, but they are mailed to me (received one, other on the way - takes about 2 weeks).

Anon - Can't use catalina coupons to buy gift cards. :(

Also, you cannot use the $5 off $50 unless your total is $50 AFTER all your coupons. At least at my KMart; the system calculates if it will take it off at the end - doesn't matter if it is scanned first or not...

What is the $10 Kmart Rewards with the purchase of a $50 GC- is that just a $10 gift card???

Jessica said...

Maybe I missed something but wouldn't you still have $18.06 on the second gift card since you only spent $31.98 on the pullups??

Jessica said...

I mean $31.94.

i also got my giftcard from the glamour deal. only $10 cause they ran out of 25's but its better then nothing

do we know when coupon doubling will happen again?

Adriana said...

Yeah, you should still have slightly under $20 on the second gift card.

Which means you could go ahead do the pull-up deal AGAIN. This time you'd use the $14 cat and pay $17.94 on your giftcard and get another $14 cat back. {They do roll - it's been reported on the HCW boards by multiple people.}

However, the scenarios don't include tax, so you may have to pull some money out of your pocket for the second transaction.

Jessica,
You are right! Math is not an area that I excel in... as I'm sure you can tell! I will update the post with this info!

Also, doing the Sears rebate with the Kmart gift cards is a great idea!

I was just thinking about the Glamour deal reading this post -- I never received anything and since it was while supplies last, I guess I missed out. =( The only K-Mart around here is over half an hour a way and also pretty cruddy so unless i am in the area I can't justify making the trip with my 10 month old. Tempting, though!

Anyone knows if we can use the KMART GC on SEARS??

Actually, all of the rewards you listed add up to $76 (depending on value of movie tickets, for me they would be worth $14). So you would only have spent $24 on the purchases. I think this is right! I'm supposed to be a math teacher, so hopefully I worked it out correctly :)

Is the $10 Rewards Card available at all Kmarts or just select locations? Also is a Rewards card similar to a Gift Card? Missouri is not one of the states listed as a KMART Rewards card participant, so was just wondering.

I just went to Kmart (in FL)
They said they don't know nothing about this :(
Oh~ well~
Anybody try this gift card deal?

You have to buy $50 in "a single men's wear purchase" for the tickets to print. How do you do that at Kmart?

Anonymous said...

Just got back from K-Mart. We got the $50 gift card, but not the extra $10. The people who worked there looked at me like I had 10 heads.

O'well. At least I was able to get my dad his present and scored the Transformer tickets for my husband.

I was able to do the $5 off but had to buy a soda and snack to make it $50 before sales tax, but that was no big deal.

Sears is doing the same deal...get a 50.00 gift card and you get a 10.00 gift card to use at a later date. Use the 50.00 gift card to purchase fifty bucks worth of pants and the rebate prints out for you with everything you need to send in....I just did this, this morning.

Today when I went to Kmart I had 5 Huggies (the new natural ones with $3 off coupons) diapers and 1 box of wipes so my total before coupons was well over $50. They would only do the $5 off coupon after my coupons, so then I had to add another diaper to my order. Then no catalina printed out. After much discussion with customer service they finally decided to give me $14 in gift card. They were trying to say you had to purchase other brands along with the diapers, but none of the promo signage said anything to that affect. I did purchase 2 of the $50 gift cards and used 1 for my diapers and the other for the Sears pants cash back promo. Fortunately all the cashiers were very helpful and friendly today. Good luck shopping today! Thanks for all the updates -Amy J

I just wonder how this $50 gift card deal work.

My Kmart people don't know about it.

I just got back from K-mart here in SD. I bought two $50 gift cards first and the cashier handed me the two $10 rewards. They are cards that have a sticker on them say says "Beginning Monday June 2, you can activate your reward card by calling 1-800-922-5511. Please have your 19 digit Sales Reciept # available, which is located on your receipt."

I used the gift cards to pay for my purchases I also used $10 gift card from Glamour and the $14 reward from my diaper purchases last month. Today I got another $14rewards, and my two $10 rewards as well as the balance on my gift cards to use on another shopping trip.

Thanks you Hip 2 Save for the awesome heads up. I have enough diapers to last 6 months with double coupons and this deal. Wohoo!

I have no complaints about Kmart except they frequently run out of the size I need in diapers, especially with double coupons and the Unilever rewards. BUt, I just buy big!

Thanks again for all you help. I feel like I am saving my family a of money buying things we really need.

I sent my husband to Kmart to pick up the gift cards and handle the Huggies deal. (he loves to shop) He did everything perfectly! Then he drove over to Sears and used the remaning balance of the first gift gard on Menswear and got the $50 deal/rebate. He can't wait for the rebate rewards to come in the mail b/c he said he would couple that with the two $10 rewards he got from the original purchase of the Kmart gift cards. I am still left with $50 in Kmart and $14 catalina for my next Kmart Doubler event! Gotta love it! Thanks to all who gave us the heads up!
