Yay! Looks like a good week at Walgreens...finally! Its been awhile!

It looks like the Dove products are not as good of a deal for me in my area. Not going to work for me. Bummer.

Anonymous said...

Is the schick quattro for the women's razors and cartridges too, do you think? And the matching coupon in 6/14 for women?

christinaprey said...

Are you sure about the keresal (foot stuff), I went into walgreens and the sign said buy 2 get a $5RR. So it was not a very good deal...what do you think??

mathmomof2 said...

I tested the kerasol deal yesterday and I only bought one and it printed out the $5RR!

Jackie said...

I also tried the Kerasal. Bought 1 got 5rr. On the Purex, Hip says there is a $2 Q in 6/14 ss, so $1.99. I am so glad I waited, I was going to go yesterday but had to renew my drivers license. Ugh!

(zip 74012) i couldn't find Hefty one-zip coupons in my 5/17 RP; just trash bags. Does anyone have it in theirs? If you do, would you mind posting what zip code you're in? Thanks!

ilja said...

well i dont know if its for the whole michigan.or only in my area. But walmart decided to mail us the smart source coupons with there weekly ad. How sweet i dont have to buy the news paper this week.
even my neghibor got it!!!

Anonymous said...

Is Walgreens picky about taking 2Q's for BOGO items?

Anonymous said...

Is there a limit on the number of dry idea deodorants you can get for $0.99 with the ad?

Anonymous said...

The $1 coupons you are indicating should be used for the Johnson's Baby Powder says "excludes trial size." The powder priced 2/$2 is the trial size.

Anonymous said...

limit is 3

Bonnie/AR said...

In our Wags, the J&J Baby Powder that is on sale 2/$2 was not in the trial size section, so therefore the coupon *did* work just fine. Just my .02 worth. YMMV

As for a limit on the Dry Idea, it should say in the upcoming ad on the coupon.

Hefty one zip in my inserts, zip code 92111 San Diego.hth Send me a sase and I'll send them to you.

Hip2Save - Correct me if I'm wrong but the Oreo Cakester sale price 2/$5 ends tonight, right?? So to get it free with the $1 coupons & the RR deal, I need to do it by tonight (6/13)?! Got the early edition so already have the coupons in hand.

Amy said...

There is a 75 cent coupon for Skippy in the Family Is Its Own Reward booklet (found at Publix) Buy 8 jars and use 8 coupons and pay $10 and get an $8 RR. That makes it only $2 for 8 jars (or 25 cents each)

Amy said...

There is also a 75 cent coupon for Ragu in the Family Is Its Own Reward booklet so it would work the same as the Skippy (posted above)

How can you use the Dove Face care coupons on the dove bar soaps? It doesn't even show a bar of soap on the picture.

Kimberly said...

I did the Dove deal today and you can use the coupons, soap can be used on your face, especially Dove. They don't beep. I paid 1.24 each for 8 soaps and got a 10 dollar RR! Not bad at all.

Anonymous said...

The DOVE deal do not work for me...even though I spent an hour in the store trying to find a way for it to be "worth my while". The soap they had for RR was the 6 pack which was 6.99, the lotion was 7.99, the shampoo was around 4.50, they were all out of the body wash and the mouse/styling gel was the cheapest...about 3 something. However, I purchased a couple of those papers but I didn't have enough of "1" coupon to get a great "DEAL" and I was REALLY bummed. What to do with those Dove coupons now?

Jackie said...

Anon:
It looks like hip2save has listed the Dove and the Cakesters as monthly deals. That means you have a chance for your store to restock. Don't throw away your Q's. Maybe you can still get the 2 pk of dove soap or it looks like Kimberly got the 1 pks.

Anonymous said...

On the Dry Idea deal, does it really work to give the cashier the manuf Q first, then their in-store Q to get an overage? If so, the overage just gets applied towards the other items you're getting?

Jackie said...

If anyone is interested in the skippy, ragu, hellman deal in So Cal, there are $1/2 q's in the 5/17 rp. It's not as sweet a deal but we need pb and mayo, not ragu.

Anonymous said...

ilja, im in michigan and i dont get the walmart. does it come in the mail? or the paper?

Stephanie said...

I don't know if someone else has this issue, but here in Metro-detroit Michigan, we are not getting the full 16 page ad. We are only getting a scaled-down 8 page ad. There are 50 stores within 30 miles from me & nothing! We are not getting the same deals. I emailed corporate this am. Anyone else having this issue? Super-bummed. I am not sure if anything can be done................

Hi Jackie,

Thanks for the response, my name is Ginger and I registered about a week ago and then forgot my username and password (I know, pretty ditzy)...SMILE.
Anyway, if all the DOVE items are priced really high then how do I get a great deal? I have 2 coupons for the shampoo, 2 for the bodywash, 2 for 3 deodarants and 2 for the mouse.
I wish someone would post on here how much the items were and how much they paid OOP...

Thanks for your help, I won't throw the coupons away...I actually went borrowing some from people...SMILE.

Ginger

Angie said...

Yay for the John Frieda deal. I just tried Root Awakenings and I LOVE it - makes my hair so soft & the mint smell wakes me up in the morning.

Ginger, the great deals come if you have multiple coupons (in this case, 8!!!) for the products that are on sale. So, you aren't going to use the body wash coupons for this deal - instead you need to track down multiples of the face care coupons. If you know in advance about the deals, you can usually buy extra coupons off of eBay or other coupon clipping sites. HTH!

Ginger, in order to make it work for you, you need to try and buy the cheapest Dove thing possible. It could also be the deodorant. For me it was the 2 packs of soap. The one packs aren't included in the deal. I got the two packs, they are normally $2.99 each but they were on sale to $2.24 each and I had 8 $1.00 coupons. HTH.

Rhonda said...

Alas and alack, our WAGS will not accept 2 manufacturer's coupons for BOGO. Something to do with how it rings up in the computer. (The store is simply amazing in all other aspects...including being coupon friendly, so I will not complain!). The razor cartridge is still a great deal...especially if you can find the 4+2 bonus packs (which are also BOGO). $6.99 for 12 blades is a pretty good deal.

Hip2Save said...

Hi Guys,
The Monthly deals I list should work for the whole month. Also, the Oreao Cakesters and some other Nabisco cookies are on a MegaSaver sale all month long, priced at 2/$5, so stock up on FREE Oreos while you can! Not that I really need too!:)

Hip2Save said...

Anon.
The Dry Idea deal will work without any beeps if you hand over the Manuf. $2 coupon first and then hand over the in ad coupon. The overage can be applied to other purchases in the same transaction.

Anonymous said...

I tried to do the dry idea deodorant deal today and it was a huge failure. I even handed over the MQ first and then the in ad one. To top it off the cashier was so rude when I asked her to void it because I was only buying the product because of the coupons. I give up on Wags! :-(

Anonymous said...

Dang, no $3 John Freida coupons in my Sunday newspaper. THanks for all of the great deals, though!

Unknown said...

Does anyone know how much the Dove visibly smooth deodorant costs? The dove website has a $2 coupon for it...

Bonnie/AR said...

Reiko, Last week Dove A/P was $2.99 for 1 kind and $2.24 for the other-sorry, don't know which was the kind you were asking about. That was the 25% off price too. Don't know if that is still effective.

Lela said...

My Wags in East Tennessee has also done away with 2 coupons on BOGO because the register shows the first item full price and the second item as $0. They say they can't take a coupon for a $0 item. It beeps every time and I've gotten the same explanation from every clerk at every store I visit, so any of the BOGO deals (like the schick quattro) are out for me now.

confessionsofashopaholicmom said...

Hey my Walgreens is having an Axe buy on get one 1/2 off, are they still doing the movie deal or is that over??????

Anonymous said...

Is the buy one get one 50% off on diapers a good deal? A few weeks ago there was a great diaper deal at Walgreens, but I think it was BOGO. Does anyone remember??

Sarah said...

No John Frieda Q in my SS :( So bummed!

Unknown said...

if anyone has used 2 Q's for the bigi razors I would love to hear a story with a good outcome. I am starting to think that the registers in all the store will not let us.

LisaC said...

I used the 2 $4.00 coupons for the razors, and they went through fine.
I went to 2 different Walgreens, and they both had the St. Ives body wash behind the beauty counter, I guess to make sure you only purchased one.
Was anyone else's Walgreens doing it this way?

Question about the CARMEX 2.99 = 2 RR

Which are they?? I went to WAGS and did not see any signs for any of the carmex. The 3 packs of carmex were on sale for 2.99 but are they producing the RR's?

THanks!

Jackie said...

I bought 2 carmex @ 2 for $3 but that didn't work. Is it like the previous post on the 2pk. The purex was 6.99 in stead of 5.99.

Jackie said...

It is true in Socal that if you buy 1 J&J 1.5oz powder use $1 Q and get back $1rr. Someone posted that last week and it works.

Anonymous said...

I just went to Wags and did pretty good. I got 3 bottle of John Frieda, 2 boxes Oreo cakesters, 2 St. Ives body washes, and a pack of gum (as a filler item). I ended up doing 3 transactions and I spent $3.48 OOP (after RR).

ilja said...

Anon, I found out it was only where i live! I dont know why but i was happy!!

Jami STL said...

I have a $2 coupon for the Purex 3in1 from Sunday's paper, makes for an even better deal if you got this one.

Also the Kerasol free socks says with 2 proof of purchases, not one.

Tried Target this morning with mixed success, fingers crossed for my wags experience.

Jackie said...

Jami:
The Kerasal says 2 proofs (upc and receipt) Only need to buy 1 product. I did this.

Anonymous said...

Thank you for your amazing list I used it to go shopping this morning using the sales and I only spent $7.00 total and I saved $70.00 between RR, coupons and sales. My wags let me use two coupons for the BOGO razors.

Thank you so much!

Aisha said...

Walgreens has the Reach Toothbrush and Reach Dental floss for $0.99. I used the coupons from the 6/14SS as well as the ones on coupons.com!

Jami STL said...

ohhhhh....thanks Jackie.

Chrissy said...

The J&J babypowder deal and Oreo Cakesters deals both worked great for me, but we didn't get the $3 John Frieda coupon in the St. Louis area paper. :( I was really excited about that one, too, as I really enjoyed the free sample I got in the mail awhile back.

Emily said...

It's so nice to find deals for products that I need so often. Thanks for putting these great money-saving steals up!

Unknown said...

My WAGS wouldn't let me have the overage on the Dry Idea deodorant. I was pretty upset about that. Is it wrong for the overage to come off the other items? How do I argue that with the cashier/manager?

MamaMataUSMC said...

The OFF link no longer has prints but here's a link for BO starter kit GO refill & you can still use the $2 Q.
Does anyone know how much they are at CVS because CVS has a printable CVS Q for $3.00 the OFF clip on, so you could stack all of these could make for a better deal.

MamaMataUSMC said...

Oops, here's the OFF link:

Hip2Save said...

Hi Guys,
The Carmex deal was emailed to me by a reader. All I know for sure is that the Carmex that spits out the $2RR should ring up at $2.99-$3.29. Copy and paste this link-

http://www.walgreens.com/store/product.jsp?CATID=100207&navAction=jump&navCount=1&nug=VPD&skuid=sku4021637&id=prod4022788

That's the Carmex that should produce the RR! Hope this helps!

Jenn said...

On the Unilever Deal (which I did today without a hitch:)), there are a few other items that are included which are not advertised in the ad. These are Bertolli olive oil (17 oz) and Wishbone Italian (16 oz). Not sure what the prices for these are, but they are listed on the printout that came right before my $8 RR. So, if you really don't need any more sauce, PB, tea, or mayo, you might try one of those two items:)

Jenn said...

I can't find the St. Ives coupon. I have one for any face product, but not a body product. Will the face product Q work? Did anyone else not get this Q?

Shanna Barnhisel said...

Thank you Collin! You are GREAT! I just bought 7 Dry Ideas with the $2 Qs and the in store coupon, along with a St. Ives and it's coupon and was able to use the overage to get two 12 packs of soda for my sons upcoming b-day party. I ended up paying $.26 OOP for everything and got back a $3 cat!! I know some people have had trouble with cashiers not letting them have overage. It really depends on your checker. I have a great one that I go to for these types of things and she loves it. It's definitely a YMMV thing. Thanks!

Anonymous said...

Did any one try John frieda products at wags with $5 RR ..i had issue using 3 coupons and RR didn't print.. any issues like me..Please let me know..
Thanks

Purex is $6.99 now, not $5.99 like last week. Razor deal worked for me - receipt listed both full priced and deducted the full price of one at bottom. Dry idea is working in MA as well - BUT THEY RAN OUT!!

ThriftyPuppy said...

Jenn: Yes, the Q for St. Ives facial product will work for the St. Ives that is on sale (think of it this way - you can use body wash on your face, right?) Anyway, I've been doing this deal all day long and using that facial product Q. The manager at my local Wags OK'd it.

Anonymous said...

Did anyone have a problem with the Purex not printing a RR? I ended up returning it and got my $2 coupon back b/c there was no RR.

Anonymous said...

I got Three John Frieda shampoos - two of one kind and one of another kind. My rr didn't print. The mgr. says they didn't print because I didn't get three of one kind. But, he gave me a rr anyway.

TeRetta said...

Thanks for all the wonderful tips about the RR at WAGS! I got 2 Oreo Cakesters this AM for $1.39 OOP, then got $3RR. I was able to flip that on the St. Ive's and got another $3.00 back. My cashier was UGH this morning, but I didn't let her mess up my awesome savings' mood!

Anonymous said...

wanted to let everyone know, there are 1/$1 7up 12-pack coupons at 7up.com. Great for the 7up deal.

Anonymous said...

I went to Walgreens tonight to get the Dry Idea....I didn't end up getting it b/c I wasn't sure if the WAGS coupon was for the roll on one from coupons.com ANY HELP???!?!?

There is a 3$ coupon for the Keresal in the current WW magazine.
