Walgreens: New $5 off $25 In-Store Coupon!

Yay! Walgreens just came out with a new $5 off $25 in-store coupon! This coupon is valid June 10th and 11th ONLY! The coupon does state that the $25 has to be after all manufacturer coupons, so I would recommend purchasing items that generate Register Rewards. Check out the Walgreens Weekly deals list and then let us know if you've come up with a great scenario!

(Thanks, Sue!)

I was just going to post some WAGs deals since I just got back from there.

I'm going this way...

1. 1 Purex 3-in-1 - $5.99 - $1 coupon = $4.99

2. 1 Kerasal lotion - $7.99- $1 coupon = $6.99 (great lotion for dry heels, btw)

3. 2 Reach tootbrushes on sale for $.99 (normally $1.79) - $1.50 coupon = $.49

4. Cover Girl Buy one, get one 50% off - $2/2 coupon from 6/7 P&G = $8 (for my two foundations)

5. 2 Nabisco cookies - 2/$5 - $1 coupon = $4

6. Pop-up tape refills - clearance $.62

$25.12+tax
-$5 coupon
$20.12 OOP
---------
+$3 RR (Purex laundry)
+$5 RR (Kerasal)
+3 RR (Nabisco)

I went to wags and our store had the dove deor. on sale for $4.19. Where can I find proof of the Kerasal rr? It says at my store it is a mega sale but no mention of rr.
On the johnson baby powder did you buy the tiny ones and still get the rr? The offer said buy 2 15z, they were around $4 something and the small ones are 1.5z. I was planning to go back and try the dove soap as I have 2 $10 rrs expiring in a couple days. This $5Q is very timely bc I might just travel to another store and get printer ink. yay!

Also, there are Kerasal $2 coupons in the 5/17SS and the July issue of Prevention. Making it almost free!

Do you have to buy 2 Kerasal items for the RR? I thought that is what I saw on another site????

Thanks for the scenario. Tell us how it works out for you. PUREX is 2RR. I like this scenario cuz I badly need to use rr's.

No kerasal $2 in so cal but I tried the Kerasal challenge and the 3 packets arrived leaking and smeared the address and $1,50Q. I wouldn't have got it but put return address on sase. I emailed them and they answered right away and they are resending to me. Thot they deserved kudos.

I'll either buy the tower fan plus a small filler item or 2 ea. off WAGs version of aquaphor (currently $12.99) -- these are items we NEED. The fan generates a $5 RR...so final price would be $14.99 which is pretty good. The skin stuff is a need (one kid with severe eczema) and I like to use this type of coupon to stockpile this item since there aren't any coupons available. Maybe I'll do both.

I am proof of the Kerasal deal. I have bought about 6 of them so far and got the RR every time. I had never tried it before, but now I love it. That stuff really works!

I only bought one to get the RR, each time.

The $5.00 off $25.00 coupon can not be applied until all other discounts and manufactures coupons, that's what it saids on the coupon. That is the problem I had last time.

Thanks so much Anon. I guess you are proof:D

Since I have about $600 rr's from the meter deal last week I'm rolling with these great $5Q like this:

3hunt's tomato sauce .39ea
1purex $5.99 1q=4.99
3 of the 10rr's
1 GC of $30
minus 5QWALGREENS
=2.00 OOP
get 30GC and 2RR's from purex
actually is free after the rr's.

~I don't think you can buy gift cards with this offer.

I just went to WAGS today -- sigh. This happened to me last time. But it is hard to use the $5/$25 since we use so many coupons!! Buying the RR items is the way to go, but I always have RRs that I need to use up, too! I may end up going back tomorrow and getting a tower fan, though. We all like to sleep with them on.

To get the RR for the Johnsons powder you need to purchase the small one..The one you would carry in a diaper bag. The great news is theres a flaw in there system. I heard you need to purchase two for 1.28 each..(The price in sacramento) but I receiced a 1RR by purchasing one..So huury and get them now before they fix it!!!

Anon (with visiting mother-in-law,
I don't believe you can use the $10.00 RR on that transaction...the RR is a manufacturer's coupon....if you try it, I'm almost sure the $5.00 Walgreens coupon will automatically add back on. I've had that happen before. You need to have a subtotal of $25.00 before they will take off the $5.00 coupon.
To the Anon with the $600.00 in RRs,
As the Anon after you said, I don't believe you will be able to use them to buy a gift card. I got all excited and even commented on this site about using ECBs and RRs to buy gift cards...if would be great, but it's not allowed...I even mentioned it to the manager at Walgreens and she told me we can't do it. Since the RRs are only good for 2 weeks, you might want to pace yourself, so you don't wind up losing them. You can always get milk, but you'd need a some fillers.
If you ladies do try this, good luck...I would love to know if it works for you.

I am sooo low on printer ink...thus to WAGS I may go for refills.

1 color ink refill $15
1 black ink refill $10
Total : $25
-$5 WAGS coupon
$20 OOP...Avg of $10/cartridge

OR

2 black ink refills $20
Purex 3-in-1 $5.99
Some kind of filler for .25
-$1 Purex coupon

Subtotal $25.24

-$5 WAGS coupon

$20.24 OOP

Get $2 RR from Purex
Submit Purex for full rebate if I dislike it... -$5.99

Total after RR and Rebate = $12.25

fran - "you can always get milk" - the RRs for the Bayer meters from last week state not good on dairy. at least the ones i got do (in texas). :( i had hoped to be able to use some to get milk, too, though i don't have nearly as many as anon!

Anonymous said...

To ther ANON 600
is ok if you buy GC but only the red ones that have the white W on them otherwise they will beep.

fran said...

Amy,
I just looked at my RRs, and they also say no dairy, but I'll bet you can still get the milk...I'm going to try it if I don't know what else to buy. I only have 2 $10.00 ones left. It was CVS that I got the milk with ECBs...sorry.

Anon,
Have you actually purchased the red Walgreens gift cards with RRs?
I don't like those ones...you can't call to check your balance...although I have a tiny post-it on the front of all my gift card with the total and as I use it, I just deduct from the total. Even if you can get a gift card, I'm sure you'll still need a filler. Don't you wish you can just use the RRs like cash and not have to worry about having the same amount of item to equal coupons? I hope whatever they have in the works starting next month, is a lot better than these RRs...I'll be glad if they do away with them.

I have used my rr for giftcards, but have done it very nonchalant. I just mixed them in with other items. I believe it is up to the checker. The person who said you cannot use that 10 rr with this deal was right. 25 bucks after all coups, including rr. I think I will do 2 All(2x $1 IP), 1 snuggle($1 IP) Kerasal($2coup)Then I will refill my print cart. because I am running out with all those printables! I will go over the $25 easily, but I will get $10 in rr back (: and then I can use those to get another print cart. filled.

I'm new to this game! :) How can you get ink cartriges for $10 and $15 dollars? My WAGs sells them for $20 or more for black and color. I really need more ink and am looking for some sort of deal! Thanks for the tips!

My coupon states that you have to reach $25 before taxes and after all manufacturer and Walgreens coupons.

I'm needing to buy Father's Days cards for my DH and my Dad. Those are (sadly) pricey but since I need to get them anyway, I'll probably use those to boost me up to the $25 limit
