My LOVE for Amazon + Horizon Milk Deal!

I received the above 12 bag of Garden of Eatin' Tortilla Chips from Amazon last week! I posted about this Amazon deal (and ordered) on August 17th and received this box on August 20th! Now that's what I call fast and another reason why I love Amazon!

I know some of you get frustrated because Amazon has had a lot of price mistakes in the past. One of the recent mistakes was the EnviroKidz bars. I'm not trying to defend Amazon, but I will say that they are a huge company and mistakes are inevitable. For the most part, though, I feel the bargains they have available on a daily basis far outweigh the occasional mistakes they make.

I also want to point out a deal Amazon has available currently! Stock up and save up to 40% on any combination of eligible products available here. Buy any 2 eligible products and save 20%, buy any 3 eligible products and save 30% or buy any 5 eligible products and save 40%! Just use the following promotional code when you check out: BCKSCLO9 .

One deal that I'm debating about purchasing is the Horizon Organic Milk. The pack of 18, 8-Ounce Cartons is priced at $23 and they have 3 varieties to choose from: Reduced fat regular milk, reduced fat vanilla milk and reduced fat chocolate. I'm planning on purchasing 5 18 packs. My total before the discount will be $115. However, after the 40% off promo code ONLY $69--that equals out to just $0.77 per carton! Plus, they all ship FREE!

My kiddos love the Chocolate flavor, so I'm excited to surprise them with this little treat!

We love this milk, too! But...have only had it in restaurants. Do you happen to know the shelf life?? I know it doesn't have to be refrigerated, but don't know how quickly I would go through THAT much single serve milk!!
Thanks!

I think you should be able to submit for the Barnes & Noble gift card - http://www.takeahealthybite.com/gift-card/index.html

I picked these up today at Kroger. They are 10/10 and I had a .25 cent off MQ that doubled so I got them for .50 cents each! I had 9 Q's total...

Christy,
From what I've read they have an approximate 180 day shelf life. Our family of five will go through them quite quickly, so I'm too worried!

This is a stupid question, I know, but why does this not have to be refrigerated and have such a long shelf life?
Thanks!

I ordered that too, but they send the wrong chips (Red Hot instead of normal, yikes!). I emailed them though and they're sending the right ones and I get to keep the others. Just be sure you check what you get! In the meantime, these are going to the local home for pregnant teenage girls. Amazon is good about fixing its mistakes!

I looked on my milk and they vary with the expiration dates...up to May 2010!

The milk doesn't have to be refrigerated because it has been ultra pasteurized at an extremely high temperature. There is no way anything is alive in it.

Thanks for the tip. My son loves this milk. Just in time for back to school lunches! I ordered 5 too. :)

I've seen them at Costco. Anyone know how much they are there. Is this a better deal?

If you have a BJS Warehouse near you, they are only $10 for an 18 pack!

Thank you thank you thank you!! I actually just ordered some milk this morning, but canceled it when I read the post!! We call this "special milk" in our house and it's a big treat for my son. And for over a buck a piece they ARE a special treat! I ordered 4, so thanks so much for the tip!

Just an FYI on the cases of milk....at my local sam's club they are 13.87 per 18 pack so it come out to be almost even...amamzon may be 35 or so cents cheaper.
Hope this helps...I know it may be regional pricing so it may be a good deal for some.
