Anon,
There is only one coupon being used.

The coupon says 1.5 oz 2 cup size. Only good for up to .79 cents. Not sure if this will work.

I had an AWESOME day at Target today....

I found....

Alexia crunchy snacks (onion jalapeno strips and waffle ranch fries) on clearance for $1.38 and used a $1 off coupon (6/14SS) for bags at $0.38 each

Jose Ole Empanadas and Quesadillas clearanced to $2.98 paired with $2 off coupons from 8/23 (I don't know if it was RP or SS)

Jimmy Dean Chicken Sandwiches clearanced to $2.98 paired with a $1 off coupon (I don't know when this was from either)

Broccoli store brand small bags clearanced to $0.48

AND

Cheesecake Bites clearanced to $0.82 paired with a $1 off coupon (don't know when this is from either, but it was close to expiring)

Plus all my free dog food and the deals you've mentioned.... plus I never have haters at my Target.

SWEET.

I have a question about Walgreens...how do you explain to cashiers and managers that the IVC coupons are NOT manufacturer coupons, and that you CAN use them with other MFQs?

Leah, either ask them to scan it explaining that it will beep if you can't use it or tell them politely "that isn't your policy as I understand it, let's call corporate to clarify."

Leah, I had this issue just last week with my local WG. I had to request their corporate telephone number and call them directly from the store parking lot. Corporate told me in no uncertain terms that the assistant manager I dealt with was wrong and that they are in fact supposed to take both coupons. Corporate got off the phone with me and called the store directly and set them straight while I was there. I was dealing with a very young assistant manager who told me to my face that he "didn't care" what the other stores did with their coupons - he wasn't going to let me use both. By the time I got done with him and corporate, he cared. Good luck!

Good luck Ca works so differently had couon issues and the cashiers calling me a thief because I was trying tho fraud the system and using coupons illegally, when I wasn't. Called corporate and the manager called back and was just telling me what I wanted to hear not really caring either. They don't care.

For those of you calling Walgreens Corporate, keep it up. I finally got a call back from the District Manager in regard to a Case # I filed over 2 months ago. I just kept calling week after week referencing that same Case #. Now, there is something in action to solve the problem I had with a store manager back in June. It was all over the Pharmacy coupon booklet where it had the $2 coupon. He couldn't solve another issue over his register not adding up right with a raincheck I had for the diapers, so he quickly told me that I could only buy one package at a time b/c the coupon said "limit 1". Anyways, I have asked to be compensated for my time that day that I walked out with absolutely nothing and other times since. This store manager is trying to only allow us now to use 1 like coupon. I think he really hates us couponer. Well, maybe he will have a different outlook when the District Manager sits down with him in person tomorrow.

What a shame these people are so angry! Their jobs are tough . . . retail is tough and then we come in with fists full of coupons knowing a whole lot more than they do. And I suspect District/Corporate doesn't do a very good job of communicating the 'rules'. Like my Walgreens sales assoc told me -- she thinks the coupons are great and it doesn't cost Walgreens anything because the manuf reimburses them! As Colin said -- we're just trying to do the most we can to stetch our dollars -- not rip anyone off! sigh . . .

Thanks for the tips guys. I knew what to say to the Walgreens manager, but I really didn't feel like arguing with him. He said that I couldn't use both the IVC and MFQ because it would mean I was getting the item for free. (DUH!!!)

And then I asked him "Have they always been like that?" (Testing his knowledge) And he had the BALLS to say YES! I have NEVER EVER had a problem with using the MFQ and the IVC (when they did the easy rebates.) I wanted to say "Actually sir, you have been misinformed."

And I told him "Well, surely if I wasn't allowed to use both coupons, the register wouldn't even take/scan the coupon bc I would have more coupons than items."

The whole time he was talking to me (and making stuff up) I was just smiling and nodding, thinking "Boy, you are SO wrong."

He even got out the Back-to-School coupons and pointed to where it said Manufacturer.

By the time he was done talking I said, "It's ok, I'll just return everything." (Real nice). And he was shocked that I didn't want to buy anything. He argued with me like I was stealing from their store, and then expected me to NOT return the items, haha!!

I was real nice though. (He was young.)

I'm trying to think through if Safeway is as good a deal - Buy 2 Reese's, get one free. Paying for two equals $1.78, then use the BOGO coupon for a total of $.89, then use the $.55 coupon off the last one for a grand total of $.34 for all three. They are the regular size vs. king size, but it might save a trip to Rite Aid if there's nothing else you want.
