The coupon for the tums says it's good on the 24 ct. Also, I could not get your link for the #.00 coupon for Colgate to work. Thanks.

I was at Target on Sunday and the tins were $2.50. Anyone else seen them for less?

Also the $3 Colgate coupons says Walgreens on it. Will Target accept it?

The aveeno says no trial size. Is
1 oz the trial size?

I don't know if the colegate $3.00 off will work on travel size. It says 5.8 oz or larger toothpaste. The travel size is only 1 oz or less.

Sorry for posting these deals without really checking the coupons first. I will go ahead and delete the ones that exclude trial/travel size freebies or are for the wrong size.

Thanks for bringing these ones to my attention.

I just got back from Target here (Hillsboro, OR) they had the Glade candles in the tin and I was able to snag a couple coupons from inside. I got 2 of the candles and a 3 pack of refills for just .32!

I went to Target tonight and bought the toothbrush/crest for kids toothpaste combo in the trial size section for .97 and used the 1.00 coupon from the 8/2/09 P&G se ction for kids crest with no problem.

I just want to confirm this, I have seen it a few times now on posts, you CAN use a coupon for an item like $1.00 off, PLUS a coupon that states if you buy that item, you something else for free? Like with the glade candles?

Shelley Beaches said...

Jennifer, good question - yes you can. You're using the $1 off on the one you're buying. That purchase qualifies you to use a different coupon for the second item. 2 coupons, 2 items.

So I had my own battle with a meanie at Target today, but ironically enough, I made out in the end. She rolled her eyes and refused my All coupons for the small detergents and the GM cereal, but Spongebob ttoothpaste is apparently on clearance for 27c and I got the overage on two tubes. Ill be avoiding her lines in the future.

I really did not like these candles. I didn't think the scent was strong enough. My husband didn't even know I had a candle lit when he came home from work. Just thought I would give my opinion!

Anyone else have trouble with the new Target Policy? (I even called the Guest Service 800 number while I was in line and she confirmed this was the corporate policy):

If the coupon states "limit one coupon per purchase" they must ring each item in separate transactions!

SO I stood at the register for 40 minutes while the cashier rang all 35 of my items in 35 transactions! For example, I had travel sized Head & Shoulders and used the coupons that expired 8/31 but they stated "limit one coupon per purchase."

NO other store has ever done this to me. I've dealt with my share of Target coupon quirks in the past but this one takes the cake!!

That is unreal! I have never had that happen and would be pretty upset if it did..sorry you had to go through that!

Joli-

I believe corporate was wrong. A purchase means 1 item. So say you have 5 coupons & 5 items you can ring those ALL in one transaction.

The ONLY time they should suggest items be paid for individually is if it says ONE per TRANSACTION. Corporate should know this.

Most coupons say 1 per purchase. Those are allowed to be rung up together. I hope that makes sense.

Thanks for the glade info! I was able to get a great deal! Love these candles!!!

I do want to say that I noticed someone taking out the coupons and then puting the tin back on the shelf (minus coupon). Then grab one with a coupon inside to buy.

So if you want this deal go soon as I supsect others will be unfair with this deal.

What you're saying makes perfect sense to me and those of use that use coupons seem to be familiar with the coupon terms.

BUT how do you convince a store of that when you call the 800 number while you're at the register and corporate backs up what the store manager is saying? It was crazy.

I'm wondering how long that store will stick to the policy since the manager had to call 2 back-up cashiers to open 2 additional checkout lanes just so I could do my 35 transactions!

If I hadn't felt ridiculous trying to be a savvy coupon shopper it would have almost been funny.

I need some advice about Target--I went today and scored some awesome deals. The problem is they refused to take any coupon that was for more than the item costs and they refused to adjust the coupon down. I tried this with sample items, as well as the crest white strips (which I've attempted to buy 2 times and they'll never adjust the coupon down). I even spoke with the manager and showed him the print out of Target's coupon policy and he refused, said that it would be like " getting the item for free"??? In a situation like this do you contact corp?? If yes, what is the number? Thanks in advance for any help!!!

Here is the target customer service # 1-800-440-0680. I always bring my coupon binders to the store and keep Target policy in it.

I have the exact same problem. I have tried everything I can think of several times at several different Targets here in TN. I have given up that battle. Each time they tell the computer will not allow them to use $1 off coupon on an item for $0.97
I even hada very nice cashier once who told me it would work and she tried several times but it did not.

I went to target today and was able to snag 4 candles with coupons. I sad to see people opening the candles and taking out the coupons and then putting the candles back. Come on people, lets be decent about this. If you take the coupon, buy the item.

They can adjust the coupon down & if the refuse call corporate. I cant stand when a store decides to make up 'their own rules'. Corporate is normally ALWAYS helpful & will make sure you get to use your coupons. I carry their coupon policy with me before & a manager refused it....I said no problem, let me call corporate. Manager got on the phone with corporate....needless to say I got everything I needed WITH coupons adjusted down ;)

Next time you talk to corporate let them KNOW their policy. Most of them do, if someone thru corporate says 'no, you have to ring all your purchases up separately, ask to speak to their supervisor.

I have called Corporate and I was told by a gentleman that on the Target coupon - usually they read "one per transaction" - that it means "per item" at Target. I told him I had to ring up three pizza's separately to use a coupon with each one. He said "No you do not have too." He told me that they keep the wording vague on the coupons so that they can limit "those coupon ladies" from emptying the shelves. He didn't know I was one! LOL...

Oh, I should mention that I have had wonderful and nightmare transactions at Target - always have the policy and the corporate number with you. Remind them the first rule of retail "The customer is always right." Having been a cashier in the past, I am apalled how some have treated me when I have 6-7 coupons and they'll fight over .75! LOL...

I got a the "The Fragrance Collection" 2 oz by Glade for FREE using the coupon that came in 8/23 insert...The coupon was for a free glade.

my SS in central VA didn't have galde coupons. boohoo.

I got the Glade candles today, and I was so excited! There were 6 left on the shelf, all 6 had the coupons inside, so of course I bought all 6! :) The lady that checked me out must've thought it was weird that a guy would be buying 6 candles and using 6 coupons. Ha, oh well!

Anonymous said...

Do you take the coupon out on the tin, and appy it to your purchase?

Anonymous said...

I think the fairest thing to do is to buy one candle at full price or using your own coupon (I had one left over from buying these awhile back), in order to "buy" the coupon inside another. Then you can apply that coupon to another, and that coupon to another. So, you would end up with 1 less coupon than candles (unless you started with your own coupon.) Does that make sense? Just PLEASE, folks, don't take the coupons out if you aren't going to buy the item!

When you go to buy the Glade candles, make sure to look on the shelves near them or on the floor, I found one coupon laying there for them. People open them to see how they smell and don't realize the coupon falls out! I've found a number of them by just looking on the ground underneath them.
