****WARNING**** BE CAREFUL
I ordered from complete home and auto vantage last month and I thought everything went fine. I received my free gift cards and cancelled on time. Today I went to use my check card (lesson learned no need to say it)for $11.00 and it came up declined twice so I knew something was up. I called the bank and visa put an fradulent alert on my card they said two differnt transactions are pending from DIGITAL RIVER for $235.00 each. They cancelled my card and told me they have already had promblems with other customers that had digital river charges before. That is the only time I have used my card online so It came from one of those. So,watch your accounts if you did use a check card and ordered from them. The bank said I will get my money back by wednesday..but what a pain.Just wanted to share.

Kind of off subject and a stupid question...when a rebate asks for the last 5 numbers of a UPC code do you use the last 5 that are in the bar code things or 4 of them and the single digit outside the bars?

Jannel said...

Casey- I believe it is the 4 on the bar code and the 5th number outside of the bar code.

Thank you so much! :)

I just wanted to give a great big "KUDOS" to my local CVS - 190 Keith St, Cleveland, TN 37320 Phone: 423-476-4539. My mother and I stopped in today to buy the Transformers 2 movie at $6.99 after coupons.

Due to financial problems, my husband and I couldn't afford to pay for the movie, so my mother offered to buy it for us as a gift. My mother is new to CVSing with ECBs and has never scanned her ExtraCare card for coupons. She automatically received $3 off a photobook! Right up her alley - she was excited.

She paid $10.57 for the movie, candy for my daughter and a 12-count pack of TP. We used the $5 off $25 coupon and 2 separate coupons for the movie. The store manager rang us out and was encouraging and congratulatory on our savings. As he was handing us our receipt, he said we had "lucked" into another deal. If we let him call CVS customer service from my cell phone, he would give us a FREE $5 CVS gift card. I said "heck yes" and handed him my phone. 2 minutes later we were on our way out the door with gift card in hand.

ALSO, being new to ECBing, my mother had not taken advantage of the Glade candle deal for $6.99 and get back $6.99 in ECBs. I just happened to have a $3 off Glade coupon with me and told her she would make $3 by using it. They were out of stock of all Glade products but offered to write a raincheck. I said that's ok, cause she wouldnt receive the ECBs. SHOWS HOW LITTLE I KNOW! :) The manager said he had a code to write on it to print those as well!

So at the end of the day, mom bought me all that stuff for $10.57, and walked out with $15 in CVS money! I think she's planning on making 2 photobooks and only having to pay $1 + tax OOP!

The manager (I forgot to get his name) was wonderful and said to SPREAD THE NEWS! CVS LOVES COUPONERS!!!!

Jackie-- COOL! (this is your cuz, btw!) ;-)

I have had good experiences with my CVS locally, too-- so I took the time the other day to email customer service about how much I love my local store and got back such a nice response. The lady that wrote me back said it was SO nice to actually get an email with nothing but compliments (as opposed to complaints/ criticism). She was going to forward to the regional mgr and make sure the staff at the store was recognized. You should do the same! They probably hear more negative than positive most days- it's nice to let them know they are appreciated!!!! And hopefully they'll continue to "love" us couponers! LOL! ;-)

Well I went to 2 different CVS stores today with 2 different experiences...both right before they closed. One store gave me a look when I walked in, although I have never couponed at this store...(she obviously wanted to go home). The other store they were so happy that the manager also commented positively about my couponing, and stated that they (CVS) loves couponers and she wanted to start learning. ;)

FYI, you can go on the Nature's Bounty website and sign up and get a $2.00 coupon. Hit the back button and get another one. Will go great with the deal this week!

Nice deal on Neutrogena shampoo...was able to get a large bottle of T-Sal (reg $9.99) for sale at $4.99 plus used a $2 coupon printed a while ago for a net price of $2.99. This stuff rarely goes on sale. They had both the small and large sizes on sale for $4.99

I have a generic CVS question. I just registered my hubby for his own card so we can get double deals. The cashier said this was fine and I have read on various blogs that many people do this.

My question is -- the wording in the ads for the EB deals is Limit 1 (or however many) per household. Does it truly mean household or does it go by card number?

Also, I had posted in the CVS flu quiz comments, but if I take the flu quiz twice on the same computer will it let me use 1 coupon on my card and one on his?

At my CVS, the Gillette Fusion razor was 8.99 less $5 EB. If you use the $4/1 coupon, your cost is free.
