Does anyone know how this works??? Do you bring in photos to scan, or on a CD or memory card? Just curious?

I just went to Walgreens and asked. The girl said that you bring in your pictures on your media card and upload them. She said to have the ones you are going to use ready so you dont use the machine that long. Hope that helps.

You can use any type of media- original photos you scan, memory card, flash drive, DVD. As long as you can get it into the system we can do it (I am a Walgreens photo specialist)

I just wanted to post some ideas here for people that are interested in this deal:
1- the DVD's are usually $19.99 but you're getting it free with a $1 donation to breast cancer research- why not donate a couple more bucks?
2- If you're expecting it to be quick and easy you'd better go before 10am or after 10pm, especially if you will need help creating the DVD (you do it yourself on the digital photo kiosk) - Walgreens is expecting this to be a big event so there will be plenty of standing around and waiting unless you're an early bird or nite owl- and YES the photo lab is open 24 hours in the 24 hour stores!

Hope this helps somebody, thanks!

I ordered the DVD this morning but takes 3 to 4 hrs before it's ready because of back up on other photo job. The kiosk allows you to select a photo cover page for your DVD case, but when I asked about the DVD case, the photo people said you only get the disc and photo cover page. They don't have DVD boxes. Even if you paid full price, you don't get a box. Also, the music selection sample audio (24 items) were not playing so you have to select a music item without being able to hear it first. Bummer! Hope it comes out fine when I pick it up.

Beta, this coupon is only good in store so you would have to save your pictures to some type of media (CD, memory card, flash drive) and take it into the store to order.

Anon 9:26, sounds like your Walgreens store was pretty backed up- on average it takes about 10 minutes to create the DVD but you cannot do more than one order at once, so anything that came in ahead of your order, including prints, has to go through first. As far as the music problem, it sounds like the machine was overworked or just not working properly- in which case the photo tech should have tried restarting the machine or opening a fix-it ticket. And yes it is weird but Walgreen's does not have boxes for the DVD's but you can usually buy the cases at Walmart or just buy one of those $1 bin movies and remove the cover/DVD and insert your own.

Hope this helps =)

this doesn't sound like a very good deal...even if it is a $1.

The pain of uploading photos and sorting them scares me lol.

Yes, I have a very busy Wags photo so I came back in 4 hours to pick up my photo movie DVD and I'm quite surprised as it came out really really nice. It has 2 playing options, one plays like a movie with some nice special effects, and second plays a regular photo slideshow, both using 2 selections of music for 100photos. I'm very pleased with the result and definitely worth $1 even without the DVD box.

Took no time to complete - really worth it! Both kiosks were open at my Walgreen's. I've created DVD's before and it was very time consuming - this took 5 minutes and my kiosk did play the music. The drag & drop on the pictures was a little annoying but I can't complain for $1!

I got my DVD last night and it was awesome! I had already picked out the pictures and put it on a flash drive. It took me about 10 minutes or less at the kiosk. The end result was beautiful! I picked it up 20 minutes later...came with a dvd case. It was so professional looking. Plus I tried to pay and the guy told me no, it was free. The best deal ever!
