CVS: Double your Extra Care Bucks + eGift Cards!

I have two great CVS deals to share with you:

First, SavingCentsWithSense emailed about a new Double Your Extra Care Bucks promotion. She found certificates at CVS (right by the cash register) that say “2X Double your extra bucks!” You can use these certificates thru 12/15 and you’ll earn double Extra Care Bucks back!

All you need to do is present the certificate once at the register between November 1st and December 15th. After doing this, your double Extra Bucks will be added to each of your receipt totals and they’ll be available to redeem on your first visit in January!

Update: It looks like this ONLY Gives you Double Extra Care Bucks on your quarterly spending rewards. You will normally earn 2% cash back on every purchase in store and online. Every three months these Extra Bucks will print out at the end of your receipt. After using the double rewards certificate, though, you'll get 4% back... so the deal is not quite as great as I thought. Sorry, guys!

*****************************

Alright, on to the next deal! Tressa, a reader, emailed about a CVS pharmacy eGift card promotion! Basically for every $25 worth of eGift Cards purchased, the purchaser receives an additional $5 eGift Card! You can purchase up to $150 in eGift Cards and you'll get $30 back in FREE eGift cards! What an awesome deal! Also, in case you were wondering, these eGift cards can be used at any CVS/pharmacy location.

I went to CVS today and got hassled for the 1st time there. They would not accept my $5 off Rite Aid coupon and when I tried to use a CVS coupon (for taking the quiz) she said it was redeemed already?!?! I should have asked for a manager but was on my lunch break and needed to get going. I'm out $5, ugh. I think I might call the store manager and see what they say. I use my competitor Qs there all the time. I go there for that reason and b/c they are usually THE BEST about NOT hassling me! That said, can you use the e-gift certificates on prescriptions, are they only good for online?? I would put out the $150 up front to save $30 if I can use it over the year.

We've had this in my area for a couple of weeks now, but it says it excludes "circular ECBs". Any idea what that means?

I went last night and used one and didn't receive any additonal ECB's so I googled it when I got home and according to most of the things I read it said it is doubling the 2% it gives you back so instead of 2%, you get 4%. I don't know if this is right--anyone else know????

Yes, you are right. THIS DOES NOT GIVE YOU DOUBLE EXTRA BUCKS, ONLY DOUBLE EXTRA BUCKS REWARDS!! Your rewards are given on a quarterly basis, and instead of getting 2% back of what you spend, you will get 4% back. I didn't know this until after I made a huge purchase....so be careful on this one!

the official cvs coupon policy clearly states that cvs does not accept any competitor's coupon

if you go to cvs.com and then find gift cards then try to order some the deal shows up so its legitimate
