Hallmark Gold Crown: $5 off $5 Magazine Coupons!

I posted previously about there being a $5 Hallmark Gold Crown coupon (NO minimum purchase required) found in the December issues of Martha Stewart Living, Woman's Day and Oprah magazine! Well, even better, there are actually a total of 10 magazines this *Hot* coupon is found in!

Here's a list of the magazines:
Better Homes and Garden
Country Living Dec/Jan - after pg 96
Family Circle after page 48
Martha Stewart Living - December issue-Page 74
Oprah December issued - Page 119
Parents-between pages 84 and 85
Real Simple December Issue
Southern Living - December issue, insert after page 62
Taste Of Home Dec/Jan issue, insert after page 42
Woman's Day December Issue - Page 33

These $5 coupons should easily make for some FREE cards and possibly other bargain buys! Kris, a reader, emailed about finding the 45 sq. ft. heavy weight gift wrap paper on sale for just $4.99. Plus, if you purchase one, you get the second for $0.99! After the $5 coupon--ONLY $0.98 for both + tax!

Let us know what deals you're able to score!

(Thanks, CouponingToDisney!)

there is a "minimum $5.00 purchase, before taxes, required to receive offer"

It is off the topic but I need some clarification regarding Thanksgiving sales. How does it work in 24 Hr stores when they keep the sale prices 6 AM to 11 PM. Can we be there by 5.30 and grab items and check out at 6 AM or how does it work?

Thanks! I know where my cards are being bought over the next few months. Does anyone know when the coupon expires?

I found an uncle frame in their clearance for $4.49. I had to buy a piece of chocolate for $.60 in order to make it over $5 (she said I HAD to have $5 in product). Free frame plus delicious chocolate= a good deal to me. Now if I could just find my other $5 coupon I would be doing really great!

In my Better Homes & Gardens and Parents there is just a save $10 on a recordable storybook at Hallmark. Bummer! At least I did have one from my Real Simple mag.

The Cordell Family, I believe they expire on 12/24/2009

Yeah, the coupon in the parents mag is save $10 on a recordable storybook.

is the coupon only redeemable in the hallmark stores, or on hallmark products in any store (ie-walmart)?
probably a dumb question.

Grrr. I got a coupon for $10 off a recordable storybook.

does anyone know if the hallmark coupon can be used at cvs where hallmark cards are sold.

It's valid at Hallmark Gold Crown retailers in the US only. So, only in their stores. Only 1 coupon per purchase.

i went to walmart last year, which was open 24 hours..we got there an hour before the sale started..they made people line up, single file, by the items they wanted, you could not touch or have any of the doorbusters in your cart, they were all on wood palates in the aisles, people tried walmart employees took the items away or yelled at them..

when the time came for the sale to start, it was mayhem..people who were not in line, just sorta ran up and grabbed items, leaving some people who had been waiting in line with nothing, thankfully i got mine..the walmart employees ( whom i do not blame) could not control the crowd, so there was no real order, or anything..

needless to say i will not being going to walmart or places open 24 hours, but my advice is to check with whatever store you are going to on wednesday and see what their policy will be for that..

good luck!

Last night I bought three .99 cards and a book called "Snow Wonder we're friends" The book was $2.95 W/ the purchase of 3 cards. With the coupon I paid .98 for 3 cards and the book. A great deal for a cute kids book and some birthday cards.

The December issue of Real Simple also has a Target coupon for any item in the Glade Fragrance Collection free with the purchase of one other item in the collection. I stacked with the $3.50 off one that was posted two weeks back or so and got a three wick candle and reed diffuser for $3.50 plus tax! :) My Target has the holiday scents on temporary price cut at $6.99. It was a great bargain for me because my brother loves the pine scent. This will be great in his gift basket for Christmas!

can't remember what mag my coupon was in but i used it a few days ago at my hallmark on some blank thank you cards that were $5.00 exactly. thought i might have to pay tax but i didn't. the cashier was very confused, but another cashier working said it was fine.

Thanks Danielle for the info.

I wonder if the $5 off are regional in certain publications because several of my magazines had the $10 off recordable book ... as others have mentioned.

I found a bunch of ornaments for $5.99. So 0.99 after coupon. Note - these were not in the big ornament displays, but hanging around the store on various shelves.

I'm SO jealous, I don't get any of these magazines :(

You can't use more than 1 coupon per visit though..

Super great!! My daughter is obsessed with webkinz and they have tons of that stuff there. I can knock off something off her list. ;)

I ended up purchasing some clearance items (an ornament, a little card thing, a new parent wish coin, and some tissue paper...total was something like .60) and my husband stood in line behind me and purchased the $4.99 + .99 for two rolls of wrapping paper. Less than $2 spent for all, that was nice.

I get most of these magazines (through free subscriptions of course...) so we have scored REALLY nice each time. I have gotten a "Cow Jumped Over the Moon" Hallmark ornament from 2008 that was not marked with the date on the actual ornament so will be perfect for my best friend's new baby. It was $12.99 with 65% off and after tax with the coupon I paid 56 cents! On other trips, I got an advent calender and some Russell Stover chocolates for stockings. I am really impressed with this offer and it was a good incentive to splurge on a few high priced items since I had such a deal with these....

It needs to be over 5.00$ and it expires Dec 24th

I had a great time picking up lots of freebies using this coupon and others. It's fun to get free magazines with bonus coupons like these!

Bummer. My Parents had the talking book one too. I don't have any of the other mags listed but might look at my mom's..... see if she bought Real Simple this month:) Would love to get a Webkins too.

I just got the $5 coupon in the December issue of Family Fun... so be on the lookout if anyone gets that magazine.

Are any of these coupons in the newsstand issues????

kemmie3 said...

yes, they all are in the newsstand issues too! I have like 6 of them!

Thanks for the heads up on Real Simple! I'm a subscriber and found it as insert, so it should be easy for others to find.

Would anyone know how much one or some of these cost if I were to just pick one up at Wal-Mart/Target?

cjs said...

Mine was in Oprah & Parents, but not my Real Simple or Taste of Home. Thanks for the heads up - I would have missed them, as sometimes I don't get to go through my mags until WAY later. I purchased some dark chocolate ($2/bar) & peppermint bark ($3/bar).

They are also in Southern Living, and Family Circle I believe. ( =

You can't use it on greeting cards or Hallmark RED :-( Wish I'd already picked up the Real Simple with the coupon I had! Thanks!

Kimberly said...

It is in Family Circle as well. I got one yesterday and the magazine only cost $1.99 so it is worth it to buy the magazine for the coupon! The other magazines, Oprah, Real Simple and Martha Stewart Living are around $4.99 each.
