Restaurant.com: $25 Certificates for $2 AGAIN!

Restaurant.com has a new 80% off promotional code:

Take 80% off of $25 Gift Certificates and pay ONLY $2!
Just use promo code ENTREE!

For a total of just $2, you'll end up getting a $25 gift certificate! I always stock up on certificates when they are 80% off. They don't expire for a year after purchasing, so you'll definitely have lots of time to make use of them. These would also make for inexpensive Christmas gifts too!

Or for an even better deal, you can purchase the Dinner of the Month Club. What's that? It's a 12 month package that comes with 12 $25 gift certificates and one FREE $50 gift certificate! The total for this package would be $120, but after you type in promo code ENTREE--your total will drop down to just $24! Wahoo! That means you're snagging $350 worth of dining certificates for ONLY $24!

If your unfamiliar with how restaurant.com works, then be sure to check out this post! You may also want to read through the comments on this post if you still have questions.

(Thanks, SpectacularSavings!)

Hi, I thought I'd ask you since you are familiar with the service/website. Do you know if you can use 2 (or more, I suppose) $25 certificates on a single visit? Many of the restaurants require an order of $50 on food in order to use the certificate. Do you know if that is the minimum for the use of one certificate or for any number of certificates? Thanks!

LOVE THIS!!! Just in time for Christmas presents. I have used restaurants.com for a long time and they work great! I just got all my kids teacher a $25 GC each and they can go out and pick out their own GC for specific resturants -- it only cost me $20 to cover all their teachers -- AWESOME!! Grab this deal while you can.

To answer Joyce andKAte's question: NO you can't use more than one GC at a time. Usually if they require that you spend that much it is probably a high $$ restaurant and dinner for 2 will most likely do it.

@ hook'em: Can you tell us exactly how you did this? This is an awesome idea for Christmas, and people can pick the restaurant of their choice!!!!

I get and use these all the time. never did the deal with the years worth but i WILL!. I normally find places that have it where you only need $35 total bill to use the $25 though. Its easy to get up that high when you have kids :D
When we think we wont make it to that high, we would order appitizers and maybe take up alot of left overs
I went with a friend to one restaurant the other day and we ordered two desserts making it to be $36 and when we used the cert it was only $11!!!! For two adults and two kids thats really good.. and boy did we have alot of left overs!

I have used these as gifts and for myself many times and never had any trouble as long as you follow the criteria ex: lunch or dinner, total amount spent and days of the week limits, if any.

There are only a few restaurants in our area that participate, but a couple of them are places we love, and using the certs is very simple. I love taking our son out to dinner and having the final tab be so small :)

If you sign up for email alerts ( or even order) they will send you emails telling you when their sales are going. alot of times in the 1st week of the month its 60% off then week after week it goes to 70% then finally 80%. even if you dont want to buy now you can still get the emails i believe.

I am a little confused on the dinner of the month club....is it a certificate to restaurants.com itself and then you use that to buy certificates???

Love Restaurant.com!! I always wait until they are only $2 then snag a bunch. The are good for a year. They seem to go on sale for the $2 price about once a month.

It's important to know that these are not actual certificates, but MORE like a coupon. I bought two gift certificates this morning and after I had already paid & tried to redeem them, I got a notification that the certificate is only good if you SPEND money first to receive the discount. Example: I bought a $75 Outback certificate, but in order for to use it...you must purchase $150 in food to redeem. In other words, who ever you are giving the "gift" to, will HAVE to spend money first! I spoke to a representative & she said that ALL the certificates are like this...spend first...then redeem. Personally I'd rather give a "gift" certificate where my friend or family member can eat free (like a real gift certificate), then spend money. PS. Restaurant.com does not do refunds, only exchanges.

I love restaurants.com, but they haven't updated restaurants in my area for about a year!
We did score some great certificates for some restaurants in Vegas when we vacationed there last month. It helped us save a little on our trip.
Last year, I bought two of the $50 gift certificates Christmas presents. I gave one to my parents and one to my brother & his gf, who live in CA. They all loved them, especially my bro & his gf, since they eat out at almost every meal!
Anyway, this is a wonderful site, and definitely NOT too good to be true. And, make sure you go through ebates to get an even better deal!
