I bought LED lights at Home Depot a few weeks ago and am not happy with them. They're supposed to be white, but they're clearly blue. I wish I'd kept my regular lights instead. We'll probably go back to conventional lights next year.

I have been told at a Lowe's before that they don't accept any Manfact. coupons.

I also bought the H.Depot lights. They don't look warm and Christmas cozy like our old lights. Now I also have to replace the lighted garland around the front door or it won't match. Also, in our area, you can't find replacement LED fuses and lightbulbs. Eventually, these will be needed and it seems wasteful to have to purchase an entire new string. It would have been easier and prettier to keep our old C9's and spend a bit more on electricity.

Our Lowe's also does not accept manufacturer's coupons.

Check out Target & Walmart for the GE lights as they are manufacture coupons. I'm going to do that.

I don't like the look of the LED lights either . . . . they are bright neon! I returned them. I like the soft warm and cozy lights too . . but this is a great deal if you like these. Thanks Collin.

Thanks for the lead! Sent hubby out for this deal tonight, came home with 6 boxes at $2.97. Called first and two stores here in Central Florida told us they took man. coupons, which they did! Yay!

I've been seeing a lot of houses with white lights that are a very bright, icy cold white. This is instead of the sort of warm yellowish "clear" lights I've seen in the past. Are the icy whites the LED lights?

Sweet! I'm not sure if my Lowe's will take manu Qs but we'll see! I'd like more lights for our front porch, but was going to wait until clearance. Even $6 is a great deal if you're in need of lights!

To those who complain about the looks, yes they look different, but it's not just paying more for electricity. The lights last much longer than conventional. Not to mention, paying for electricity also means using more electricity... energy to fuel those lights doesn't come without a cost. They may not look like what you're used to, but change isn't always a bad thing :)Start a new tradition of being more efficient and still enjoying holiday lights!

I got some solar powered ones a few weeks ago that I love. They are icicles and the bluish color is suitable. I actually really like their subtleness.

I used this coupon there and they had no problem using it. Also on select boxes there is a $10 off a $50 purchase (next purchase) but I took one out of my box and used it right then. Most LED whites are a bluish color and you are right, it looks terrible next to regular white so I am not happy with mine either but there is one type that seems to be white in the GE selection because we have a few real white LEDs.

Does anyone know if Lowes is still doing the "trade in your old lights program"? I remember hearing something about this but can not remember the details- Thanks

A few things:
1 - Home Depot had the trade in your lights deal
2 - The $10 off $50 coupon is only on the multicolored 50ct LED lights
3 - go to www.lowes.com, under the "moving" link, you can have a 10%off your total purchase up to $5000 dollar coupon emailed to you.
We just snagged a great deal on an electric fireplace, plus the $10 off $50 coupon. There are also CFL lightbulbs with $10 off $50 coupons in them. I beleive it is $10 for a 6 pack, so if you have something more than $50 to buy, it makes the CFL's free

Went to the Lowe's store here in Indiana this evening, there was nothing left and I was told by the customer service rep that there were not any LED lights in our northern indiana area. She said that at the beginning of the season they sent one big shipment and that was it. The aisle with the Christmas lights was sparse, not much left unless you want to place big outdoor lights on your tree...hhhmmm thats a thought!LOL! : )

Here is the deal with the LED's.

Cool White lights give off the blueish glow.

Warm White looks more like traditional lights.

We have the Cool White icicle and I love the way they look.

I called the closest Lowe's to me (in Iowa) and that Lowe's accepts Manufacturer coupons. I went to check them out, but they didn't even have that small of a box. Only the more expensive ones. :(
