Someone said this week you get $3rr when you buy 2 Olay products too

Libby.Terrell said...

My walgreens only produced the $5RR when my total was $25 AFTER coupons.

Anonymous said...

Just wanted to let everybody know there is a $3 coupon for Olay lotion in the January issue of Lucky magazine. You won't need it for this deal but will be great for a future purchase!

megan said...

No $3 RR with the 2 olay products (i picked them up last night).

Bets said...

I just did this, the body wash was $8.79...but still a great deal. I made sure I bought enough for the $5 RR too. They had soooo much on this sale that was free after RR and the store was stocked today (thanks to the snow storms here I think)!

Anonymous said...

the Oil of Olay at my Walgreens is 2.99...not sure if it was a special or what but that's very very cheap!!

Anonymous said...

if you get the lotions free, can you then submit for the rebate?

Anonymous said...

I've done lots of rebates and I'm not sure that they will send you the money back for the one you get free. Another idea is to buy 4 of these, use two of the B1G1F coupons, maybe get the $5rr and the money back from the two you paid for. So 4 free and maybe $5rr. Good deal.

2 olay lotions ($19.98, free after rebate)
1 men's face lotion ($4.99, free after $5 RR)
1 scrunci brand hair product ($2.00, free after $2 RR)
$5 RR for $25 purchase, so $5 moneymaker...all with no coupons!

Anonymous said...

As for the MIR goes, IT depends. Ive had luck before on getting the "full" price on items. Cant hurt to try either way!

Awesome deal btw!! Anybody else find themselves at WG more then any other store? lol With deals like this, Cha-ching!

Belinda said...

You rock Collin!! Thanks for all the great deals!

Tami said...

What if you have RR to use - can you use them and still get the $5 RR back on the $25 spent?

Anonymous said...

Tami, yes, your total before coupons and rr's has to be 25 in order to get the 5RR. I've done this several times this week and the highest OOP I've had to pay was $4 (only because I messed up my item to coupon ratio).

Tami said...

Anonymous 11:10 thanks for the tip! I appreciate it.

Mary said...

Doesn't that coupon say 7.99 max value for the lotion?

Nnika said...

you can send in the rebate and get your money back because when you circle the item to prove you purchased the item, the price will be next to it. It is not the same as if it rang on as 0.00. I have done the glade deal at target twice, got 2 $5 gift cards and sent in for the SC johnson rebate and gotten the $5 rebate on that and i used the bogo q's on that deal to help me get to 5 items. HTH.

Nnika said...

sorry i meant to say i got (2) $5 rebates for every 5 items i got in the glade deal. I forgot to add that in there..lol. Oh and i sent them in separately as well.

Anonymous said...

I don't know what the value for the free lotion is from the coupon, but I did read on another blog a comment that said that the girl had called about the rebate and they told her the rebate max was $7.99. Still a great deal though, just wanted to relay the info. I think that I may wait another week or two and see if a better RR or CVS deal pops up! Since these are regular prices, you won't miss out on anything. I guess maybe the $5RR, but Riteaid always has $5/$25 coupons so you could just do it there.

I am just learning about this site, and so far LOVE it. Can someone please tell me what 11/29PG means

Together We Save said...

Gina - 11/29PG means the coupon was in the Proctor & Gamble newspaper insert on 11-29

Amy said...

The Olay Body wash was $5.29 not $5.99 (I typed it wrong when I made my post, sorry)

The subtotal before tax was $10.58 (and I used 2 $5 Neutrogena RRs to pay)

Amy said...

They have SMALL body washes and Large ones... the small ones are $5.29 and the bigger ones were the $8.79 ones

Amy said...

The coupon does NOT say a max value anywhere on it... I looked and looked before I did the deal!

Amy said...

No where on the rebate does it have a max value either... I looked all over it so if someone called and was told that, then that is not fair!!!

SaraJC said...

I found another Olay $3 off coupon from my January Cosmopolitan mag

I also found another $3 off coupon and BOGO olay lotion coupon on the Nov. Cosmopolitan mag

=]

Amy said...

One more thing... Walgreens did have a smaller Olay Quench lotion but since the coupon and the rebate form BOTH didn't state a limit or a size, I got the bigger 20 oz bottle.

Kristine said...

I went to my Walgreens, and argued that my total before coupons was above $25, but the store manager said that I had to SPEND $25 to get the $5 RR (meaning after MQs, Wags Qs, and RRs). So, YMMV.

Amy said...

Kristine... it will print if you are over $25 BEFORE tax (the coupons being used does not matter) but if your subtotal was $24.99 and then the tax brought it over $25, you won't get the $5 RR.

I have done this RR deal about 10 times this week so far and my subtotal AFTER COUPONS has been around 50 cents each time and the $5 RR printed every time.

Anonymous said...

My Wags gave me the 5.00 cp even tho I spent 18.97 after all my cps. Looks like all you have to do is make sure you spend over 25 & then it does not matter if your total is 25 dollars after your cps & everything. Too cool!!!!

Anonymous said...

I just tried this deal and neither of the things listed worked for me at Walgreens in my region. First, the cashier would not let me use both coupons. The reg beeped and she told me that I could only use one. Second my total before q's was twenty seven dollars and a rr did not print. So I am in an awe for words. I guess the best thing is to submit my info for the rebates.

Anonymous said...

I just called the Olay Rebate Center 1-877-471-4885 which is specifically for this deal. They said that the rebate check will be issued for the price of the product and that COUPONS are okay. Basically the price at the top of the receipt that you circle.

Tami said...

anonymous at 1:58 - why would the cashier not let you use the coupon? As long as you had the correct products that does not make sense.
The RR is only going to print out if your pre-coupon amount was $25. You should have asked to talk to a manager.

Anonymous said...

Also, the max rebate amount per lotion is $12!

(I just called the Olay Rebate Center 1-877-471-4885 which is specifically for this deal and spoke with Christina)

Anonymous said...

Tami, my before q's total was 27.08 and I did have the correct items listed on the q. This isn't the first time I have run into this type of situations with Walgreens. If it was not for the rr's i would not shop there!

Tami said...

anonymous @ 2:07
Well, it sounds like the cashier did not do the order correctly. That is a bummer. I guess I would either return the products or submit for rebates as is. Some Walgreens are great and some aren't.

Tami said...

Question -

Has anyone ran across this -
if you are making a purchase at Walgreens and let's say you are buying 3 products. You have a coupon for 1 product, and then you want to pay with 4 RR. I was told last week that I could only use two RR because I could only use one coupon per item. RR are not coupons.

Any thoughts?

Jenna said...

Tami-

RR is considered a coupon at Walgreens. Your number of coupons cannot excede your number of items being purchased. HTH!

Jenna said...

Tami-

I forgot to add...just add a small filler to get your item number up. Look in the clearance for a small filler. It could be only a few cents it doesn' matter the price.

Tami said...

Ok. Thanks Jenna

Tami said...

OH guess what - if you read the small print on the RR it says that!

I guess i asked a dumb question.

I hv Buy one olay lotion (exc 30ml) and free one olay lotion Q, and get $3 off on Olay lotion (exc 30 ml)Q.

So, Im going to do this deal:

2 Triaminic @ $5 ea
Get 2 olay quench(big bottle)@$9.99 ea
Total: $29.98

Used 2 $3 triaminic coupon
Used $2 IVC coupon (will deduct $4)
Used BOGO free coupon
Used $3 coupon

Total after coupon: $6.99
Get back 5RR (Triaminic) & 5 RR for spending $25
profit: $2.99

SO, Im goin to do the rebate for both lotion with only one transaction.

N. VanDervort said...

My "Buy body wash get the lotion free" coupon beeped at the register no matter what the size of the lotion I got. They did manually put in a manf. coupon after we "argued" over the fact that there was not a size for the lotion listed on the coupon. The cashier said that my free item couldn't cost more than the item I paid for. In the end, a manager said that since the coupon did not list a size, they would have to accept the coupon. She said "I hate these coupons!" I didn't tell her, but I wanted to say "I wouldn't shop here without them, because all your prices are higher than going across the street to Walmart." I have good practice holding my tongue from teaching junior high students all day!

Tami said...

anonymous at 2:26 if I read your post correctly this means you will have more coupons then products and Wags will not let you do that??

N. VanDervort said...

A good filler to use right now is the single packaged Oreo brownies that are 4/$1 (you don't have to get 4 to get that price). They make great little stocking stuffers. At my store they were with all of the Christmas candy.

There aren't any stupid questions. :)

Hi Tami

Yes i need filler

I have 4 items and I hv 5 coupons.
Im going to use 3RR and 4RR, so I need 3 fillers.

Anonymous said...

I just went to do this transaction at my Walgreens here in North Ogden, UT...and what do you know? I had problems with it! Everytime I go to this Walgreens I remember why I hadn't been there in a while! The cashier said it the second coupon wouldn't work for the 9.99 amount...so she reduced the amount to 4.99 which was the price of the body wash. I ended up paying a $16.90 (w/tax) and got the $5RR. I don't think she did it right, but I had no time to argue b/c I had a fussy 2 year old who was ready for a nap!
**Has anybody else ran into this situation?

Anonymous said...

I read on another blog that the way to work around the $5 RR when you spend $25 problem at Walgreens is to have the cashier hit "total" BEFORE you hand over the coupons. This causes the catalina machine to print out the RR. I did this yesterday and it worked. Just put the coupons in your wallet and don't pull them out until they tell you how much you owe.

Anonymous said...

from the more magazine and all you I have the buy one hand and body lotion get one free up to $6 I plan on doing this twice with the big quenches and then the little ones. The little ones will be free at Wags and then the big ones will be free from the olay rebate. ( I also have 2 $3 coupons)

Anonymous said...

correction> 'has anybody else "run" into this situation?'

N. VanDervort, good that the mgr said ok to use the coupon. Last week, when I want use this buy body wash, lotion free, I was told I have to purchase the body was for same price or higher as the lotion. The body wash was on sale for 2.99. I also want to buy Nivea deal. but she said I can't use the coupon on nivea care that were shown in the sales flyer. It has to be same as picture shown although the wording just says Buy one lip care and get second one free. I wrote to walgreen and I got call back from the store 2 days after. I was called for resolution and had little different issue. At the end, Mgr gave me 3 lip cares and lotion for free because he wants my CASE CLOSED!!!!

Anonymous said...

i wonder if it is possible to roll the $5 rr after $25 purchase?

Mary said...

So I am planning on doing this transaction tomorrow, with the Triminic.... I am going to one of the nice Walgreen's so hopefully it will all work out for me! I love getting stuff for free & making money off of them...

Has anyone ever asked for the WAG's coupon back? They just throw it in the trash???? If they let me have it back I can do two of the Triminic deals....

Anonymous said...

If you use the $5 from the $25 deal in your next purchase hoping to get another $5, it won't print another one out.

Anonymous said...

I did this deal today and it did not produce the $3 RR but did produce the $5 for the over $25. But it didn't work with the body washes that were less then $7.99. The coupon wouldn't go through with the cheaper washes, I had a cashier that tried them all for me. Still a great deal.

Anonymous said...

So i purchased the body wash and got the lotion for free with the coupon today and i also got a physician's formula bronzer which will be free after rebate. But my problem now is that they are both on the same receipt. They both require an original receipt sent out. What can i do? Has anybody had this problem before?

Anonymous said...

I also called the 800 # on the rebate form today, and they also told me the reimbursed amount was 12.00. I asked if that was per bottle purchased, or total for the rebate form.(since they let you enter 2 PCU codes on one form) SHe said she did not know, and for me to call back in 2-3 days and they should have an answer. (she said they were working on it). Anyone know anything about that??

Thanks-

Anne

Tami said...

anonymous @ 6:06 I have done that before and I simply went back to the store and asked if they could give me two receipts. They had no problem doing it. I explained I needed a separate receipt for rebates. I was polite and they were nice. Kinda a pain, but...

buxflower said...

The Olay coupon for a buy one get one free will always beep for price because it is coded with 01 at the end.

buxflower said...

After doing a little research, I found out that the coupon for "Buy the Body wash and get a free body lotion" is actually coded to hook to the body wash instead of the lotion. That is why it is not letting the cashier take off the full amount of the lotion, but it will take off the full amount of the body wash.

Anna said...

I did this deal tonight and it worked just like you said. The second coupon would not go through, so the cashier called a manager who "pushed it through somehow" and said that both my coupons were valid and that they should both go through...woohoo!!! I have had a few bad Walgreens experiences, so I was thankful that this went off without a hitch! Thank you, Collin!

Maehing O said...

To Mary at 3:30...
You don't have to surrender the coupons.... they are WAGS coupons and they don't expire for a while, so they let you keep them. I have them in my coupon binder in a large clear cover where they can just scan them. I never take them out! Good luck!
Merry Christmas to everyone... :)

CJ said...

I called and was told the maximum is $12 but the operator couldnt advise whether that was per lotion or for the two lotions together. Its very misleading for companies to offer rebates and not state that there is a maximum value. Fortunately I paid $11.98 so I am good either way, but there may be others who have already bought the larger sizes and sent in the rebate and wont get back what they paid.

Mary said...

Well, I got it, but not how I wanted to. They only had one of the 5.29 body washes so I had to get a 8.79 one too. The first coupon went through fine. Then the second one kept beeping and she tried it for 8.79 and it worked. I wasn't going to argue over .20. I used a 10 RR and paid 7 or something OOP. I got a $5RR back and am hoping I get the full 19.98 back from the rebate. If so, it will be a $7 money maker for me. If I only get $12, it will be free. Which is better than paying, lol....

Mary said...

Oh, has anyone tried the Trimenic deal this week? I want to, but its not marked as a Monthtly RR in any of my stores.

Anonymous said...

My Walgreens would only give me the $5 rr when I reached $25 with no coupons used not even previous rr. HTH

NorthernMIRyans said...

Is this a monthly RR for the $5 or does this RR end today?

hgghbvbb said...

Hi, this deal was AWESOME!!!! Thank you! The jojoba olay quech smells great! There is not additionl $3 rr in Oregon. I did get $5 for hitting over $25 before coupons. :)

hgghbvbb said...

If you submie for the rebate...it does show the refund for the coupons on he receipt, 9.99 X2 if you buy 2...but the credits could be from ANYTHING! It could be a register rewards or something else. So, it does not affect the rebate. :)

hgghbvbb said...

This was such a great deal I read the coupon several times, no max on the amount of the refund, just not good on the trial size body wash. :) The cashier was a bit shocked, however.

Anonymous said...

Yeah, I got this deal last night and only had one of the BOGO wash/lotion q's. and she only put down the amt (on the q) for the smaller wash size not the more exp. lotion. I wasn't sure if the other q's I had for this deal was going to work with how I did mine, and the fact I had ppl behind me too, so I didn't press the issue. UUugh. Oh well, if we get up to $12per bottle, I'll still be ok.

The other week with the other deal, it worked like a charm (pending cahier ya know).

Anonymous said...

Yeah apparently you do NOT get a $3RR on this deal. I only got the $5RR for $25 spent. Oh well.

Unknown said...

Went to WG and tried this transaction and only one of the BOGO coupons would work, so they called the manager over, who said it wouldn't work because the body wash was cheaper than the lotion, I told them it didn't specify a size (other than not travel) for either, they refused to do anything for me, so I went to a dif WG and it didn't want to ring the coupon either, then she read the coupon did a little typing and 2 seconds later it went through just fine. Don't let those grumpy cashiers push you around!!

Lecia said...

I tried to do this at Walgreens with the $5.79 bodywash and the $9.99 lotion and the cashier couldn't get it to go through. Another girl came over and said I had to get a cheaper lotion, but I disagreed, so the assistant manager came over and looked and agreed that the lotion had to cost less than the bodywash, even though the coupon didn't say anything about it. I also had the Olay Quench coupons from a magazine, B1G1 free up to $6, and $3 off of 1 and she wouldn't let me buy 2 lotions and use both coupons. I've never had any trouble before using a B1G1 and a $off coupon together. I left the store annoyed and empty-handed. Any ideas about what to do? Is she right, or am I?

gourmetsailor said...

Reminder from an earlier discussion try checking out at the cosmetics counter. I shop at three different Walgreens and those ladies are always awesome. I did this deal got my $5RR and used two of the BOGO coupons. The system wouldn't take it she pushed both of them through. Get to know your cosmetic counter ladies it saves me time and aggravation.

Anonymous said...

My coupon DOES say a limit "Buy any Olay hand&body lotion (ex 30mL)and get a free olay body lotion (up to $6)"

Anonymous said...

I called the 800 number on the rebate form and the representive said the rebate is good for up to $12 max (i.e. you will only get $12 back on 2 bottles, no matter what you paid). Still a great money-maker since the lotions were FREE anyway!
