I started saving for this christmas last January, when I stocked up on holiday bubble bath & body butters at 80% off. I am so happy now to go to my "storeroom/closest" and pull out cheap gifts!

Oh wow! I am in love with Burt's Bees, and this would be so great to win. I'd be tempted to keep it myself though.

I've been saving money by making a lot of gifts. I sewed some aprons for my niece and goddaughter, and am making food baskets for my in-laws. It's fun to do too!

We've taken advantage of Walmart price matching. Instead of travleing all around town to get great deals we bring the competitors' ads to Walmart and get even better deals. We are never restricted by the ads minimum purchase requirements or limits on quantities.

Every Christmas I usually get a few Gift cards for places I don't usually shop at (like Pier one, Bath and body etc.) so I save those cards and use on the following Christmas to buy presents. I was able to mark 4 people off my list by using gift cards. -Maggie C.

Anonymous said...

Oh...Burts Bees!

We are buying very few Christmas presents. Our children honestly couldn't think of anything they really wanted...they even had difficulty thinking of anything when the grandparents asked! I have been using my coupons at Walgreens to cut our "household" needs and I am purchasing groceries through a food co-op and avoiding the grocery store. I spend less money by NOT going to the store!

Since my husband is gone this holiday season, I am stuck shopping for our large family and parents. The one thing that has saved us is the amount of canning I did this summer. One way I've saved money is by trying to eat in rather than out, even after long days of shopping! It's so tempting to pick up a pizza or stop off for a quick bite out, but this can really add up. I did all my Christmas shopping on Amazon.com. Most of it was on Black Friday. One thing was a gold box deal, so i had to wait until five, so i saved some items from the transaction to make sure i could get it for free shipping still. Then it needed batteries, but there is a deal at Amazon that if you spend $39, you get ten dollars off. For the same price as if i had bought them from target, i also got two chargers, because this thing is really going to drain batteries and takes so many that rechargeable was the only way to go. So i save money in the long run than if i had bought alkalines!

Presents for six people, a birthday present, and a gift exchange i went to cost about $100 total. I'm so excited.

Which enabled me and my husband to each spend $50 on each other.

I've been couponing and getting little gifts at CVS and Walgreens with Extra Care Bucks and Register Rewards. I also used frugal website tips to get two Cranium games for $4. Thanks for all of your help with that! Love Burt's Bees; wonderful gift . . .

What an awesome giveaway! One way that we're saving is by sending Christmas postcards instead of letters. We used to spend about $100, including stamps. This year we're spending about $40. Yay!

I've been wanting to try Burts Bees products. I use the internet to search for coupon codes before I buy anything.

I am still very new to the coupon world, the past few months I have had a good friend that has been "coaching" me how everything works. Things have been really tight this year so it has really helped. I hope everyone has a great holiday!!!

We saved money this year by putting a spending limit for each person and we stuck to it. I am done shopping, everything is wrapped and shipped. Now to relax this holiday just me and my hubby with no traveling.

I love Burt Bee's. We are giving most items that we have found for free in the past six months. And really decent stuff!

Burts Bees is my favorite! I am absolutely naked without a tube of their lip balm in my pocket. ...I've learned to sew and have made several gifts this year. Frugal and fun!

I like to combine coupons with all those wonderful beer and wine rebates we have over the holidays. Lucky for me, my state offers the rebates with no alcohol purchase necessary so I am able to take advantage of some great deals!

Oh I love burts bees!

The biggest thing I have done to save this year is made homemade cards. Christmas cards seem to get more and more expensive each year. Its ridiculous!

The biggest thing I have done to save this holiday season is to subscribe to the daily paper for ads and coupons and to read tons of money saving blogs like this one!!

We have learned that the most expensive item is not always the best. We shop wayyyyy more carefully than we used to.

How awesome! Please enter me.
One way I've saved this holiday season is by utilizing the dollar store for a couple of my friends. I'm giving them a gift they can keep and hopefully will always love, but it was only about three dollars for each of them!

I love Burts Bees products! It doesn't make my eczema scream when I use it! The baby line is my fav. I take in the local adds to walmart and have them meet the price. Saves me driving around! With six kids six and under this helps!

We are using cash now. That has forced me to stay on a tight budget this year.

We have saved money, butbeing honest with friends and family and telling them we don't want to do gift exchanges. We are just buying for the kids in the family. That's the most fun anyway!
