Target: Readers Picture-ONLY $4.88 Spent!

One of my readers just emailed me a picture of all the awesome deals she scored at Target. I wanted to post this for all of you to see. She was able to purchase all the above for... ONLY $4.88. The best part of the story is that she actually called her hubby (after seeing these deals reported on MoneySavingMom) and asked him to run over to Target for her. Talk about a nice husband!:) I'm not quite sure mine would be willing to do this on his own.

He purchased 9 packages of Sutton & Dodge Round Steaks and was also able to use nine $2/1 Target Sutton Dodge Steak coupons. Final expense for all 9 packages ONLY $1.98. Then he managed to also purchase 10 cans of Market Pantry Soup and used five .50/2 Target coupons. Final price for 10 cans of soup ONLY $2.90. Total savings 89.9%!

(Way to go, Lacey & Hubby!)

I totally just scored some steak for my husband and soups for me for $5.55! Thanks! I just had a quick question of how Target coupons work. With manufacturer coupons the manufacturer pays the store back for the coupons redeemed, correct? So with Target coupons, is it just like a sale at Target, and the store takes the cost of the coupon? (Free meat is awesome, but I just wanted to make sure I understand.)

The roast is on sale for $2.49/lb. Even with the $2/1coupons 9 of them would cost $4.50, and that is if you can find a roast at exactly 1 lb (which was hard to find at my Target). Then add the soup, and you would be over $4.88. Am I doing something wrong? I am pretty new with this stuff. Still am AMAZING deal. :)

Rach,

I'm assuming the prices vary a little from region to region, so that may be why your total is a bit higher.
