Walgreens: FREE Trail Mix Crunch + Profit!

And the Walgreens Deals keep on comin':

UPDATE: It looks like the RR deal ended on 4/19! Sorry about the confusion. However, the $2.50 sale price is still valid thru 4/25, so .50 for a box of cereal is still a pretty sweet deal!

Post Trail Mix Crunch is on sale for $2.50 this week. The best part--they are generating a Register Reward! This unadvertised Register Reward deal is a weekly deal, valid thru 4/19.

Buy 3 boxes get a $2 Register Reward
Buy 4 boxes get a $3 Register Reward
Buy 5 boxes get a $5 Register Reward

Use the $2 Trail Mix Crunch coupon from here. From what I've heard you may be able to print this coupon off more then twice! Let us know how many you're able to print!?!

Deal Scenario:

Buy 5 boxes for $12.50
Use 5 $2 coupons from here
Pay $2.50
Get back a $5 Register Reward
Final cost FREE + a $2.50 moneymaker!

Even without the $2 coupon this deal is still really sweeeeet!

Buy 5 boxes of Post Trail Mix Crunch for a total of $12.50
Use 5 $1 coupons from the 4/5SS
Pay $7.50
Get back a $5 Register Reward
Final cost ONLY $2.50 for 5 boxes!

(Thanks, Deb for the heads up on this!)

I tried this already this morning, but no luck! My Walgreens doesn't carry this post cereal--dang it!

You rock! I'm heading their right now!

I was only able to print off two this morning, but I've printed two previously (a week or two ago). Either the print limit is four, or they've been reset recently. I think there was also a $1 coupon in one of the inserts recently. Thanks for posting this great deal!

I was only able to print the coupon once! I got a message on my second attempt that the limit had been reached. Any hints to help me get more? My Walgreens carries this cereal and I'd like to snag some! Thanks!

I was able to print the coupon 3 times!

I have two questions...

Do you know if Walgreens takes EBT Food Stamp cards?

When you receive RR do you have to use them on a different day or once you get them can you go back for another item and use them? All in the same trip?

Toni R. said...

I was able to print three of them until I got the message that my limit had been reached. I did pick up two papers that particular Sunday, so I now have 5 coupons! I'm headed there this afternoon and can't wait! I hope they carry this cereal!

Judd Family,
I'm not sure if Walgreens accepts food stamps. You may want to call your local store and ask.

Using an RR in another transaction in the same store on the same day is a YMMV (Your mileage may vary) situation. If you have a coupon friendly cashier, then she'll probably let you do an additional transaction. However, you may get a cashier that tells you no. I have found that the ladies that work at the cosmetics counter are way more coupon friendly. Plus, it's easier to do more then one transaction their.

Another option is to go to another Walgreens and do an additional transaction.

I printed 5 without a problem. I had to open it in IE and while the one was printing, i went back to the main window and hit the link again. Then I just clicked back a few times on each window. I probably could have kept going after the 5.
Here's hoping my walgreens has this cereal!

I was able to print off three. I still think this is a great deal! Thanks!

I printed 3. Is the Dove/Degree deal still going on? & is it still working with the trial size? TIA

Hip2Save said...

Ashley,
The Dove/Degree deal was just a weekly Register Reward deal and ended on Saturday.

Ashley A said...

Oh man! I missed it. I never could find any of the trial sizes. Oh well! Thanks anyways!

I was able to print 3! Hope my Walgreens carries it!

It actually is a better money maker at KMART if your in a 2X or 3X market (or have fewer than 5 coupons!)

Each box you buy generates a .75 cent off catalina--which can be 2X or 3X depending on your market for 1.50 to 2.25 money maker per box.

I just did it this AM at my store in the Chicagoland area.

Love your blog!
Chris

every time i have a smartsource printed coupon which is what this is, it says that my default printer is not supported. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong.

Anonymous said...

What a bummer ! It only let me print the coupon ONCE!!!

Toni said...

I can't print this coupon at all! Is there another site that has it?

Anonymous said...

It seems as if there's no rhyme or reason to the number of coupons that will print. I was able to print 2 coupons from our laptop. In hopes of printing 2 more, I tried our PC and was shocked when I was able to print 7...

I was able to print this 5 times

I was able to print 3 Jill

I was able to print it 3 times and am going to have my mom print it on her computer for me too! Now I hope they have the cereal.

I was able to print 3. I went to Wags and it was perfect because they only had 3 boxes. They were not marked at the sale price, but they did scan at the register for $2.50. It did not, however, print a RR and the clerk said he would give me one if I would show him in the sale flyer were it advertised it and of course I couldn't. I am going to call catalina though and see if they'll send me one.

Lisa Harradine said...

I was able to print out 3 per computer and I went to wags and bought 3 however no register rewards!

Lisa Harradine said...

Still a great deal thought $.50 per box

Rach said...

Lela,

Let me know if it worked for you (calling Catalina) because I bought 5 of them and did NOT get a RR in MN :( so sad

I was somehow able to print 8 of these coupons. I got to my Walgreen's though and they only had 2 boxes. They rang up a 3rd phantom box to see if the RR would spit out. It did not, and they refunded me for the 3rd box. Still - I only spent a buck on 2 boxes of cereal - SWEET!

I printed 5 coupons went to Walgreens and it did NOT print out the Register Rewards. We cancelled the sale 3 times and re-tried but still no rewards. I'm in Phila. Pennsylvania suburbs. I still love the .50C cereal, though. Thanks SO much for the tips and keep 'em comin' I'm the hippest Mom around these parts! :)

Anyone have any thoughts as to why I can't get this to print? I click on the $2.00 off link, it goes to the "your coupons are printing" screen, and then goes right back to the original website page without any coupons printing or any sort of error message ...

Hip2Save said...

hmmm... I wonder if this deal is already dead. The reader who emailed this deal to me did this yesterday, but it sounds like it may not be printing the RR anymore.

I'd be curious to know if anyone ends up getting an RR today and what Catalina has to say.

For some reason my coupons printed out without a bar code to scan. did anyone else have this problem. Are they still useable?

Anonymous said...

Didnt work. I was able to print 5 coupons, but didnt get any RR at walgreens. Oh well still a good deal at 50 cents a box,

Just returned from Walgreens. I was able to print out 3 of the coupons this morning, and I already had 2 $1 coupons in my stash. The cereal was on sale for $2.50 and I bought 5, but I did not get RR. Without the RR I would have only bought 3 boxes - oh well.

avaught said...

i didn't get mine either :(

oh well - I bought $10 worth - $8 Q

$2 is a steal!!!!

I'm in Texas...I was able to print 3 coupons and went to WAGS this morning and bought 3 boxes. There was only the raisin and almond kind and the sign wasn't listed on sale 2/$5 but I just brought to register and they rang up $2.50 a box. I think any Post cereal is on sale. Also, they did NOT print out any RR afterwards...must be a glitch! Also, the Fiber One Caramel Delight cereals were on sale (orange tag) for $2.39 and I had a .75 coupon, so it was $1.64 after! Those are usually expensive cereals!

I had two coupons all ready and i was able to print one today. So i was only able to get 3 coupons in total. Our Walgreens does not care this brand. Will look at Kmart this week.

Lela said...

Okay, I finally got to call Catalina & they said the end date for that promotion was 4/19. I asked the rep about the 4/25 expiration date that was floating around and he said that RR for this promotion would expire on 4/25 but the last day to purchase items to print a RR was 4/19. But like others have said, I'm still happy with my .50 boxes of cereal :)

Anonymous said...

I was able to print 3 of the coupons. Unfortunately one of the stores I went to only had 2 boxes of the raisin one. I LOVE the Cranberry one and since the RR aren't working anymore I will be on the lookout for the kind I like on sale.

Anonymous said...

yes, walgreen takes foodstamps at least in Texas.

Hip2Save said...

Lela,
Thanks so much for the info. I have updated the post.

I just went to our walgreens and they aren't on sale!!!! boo hoo!!!

I got 7 boxes of this at KMART--and each one generated a .75 off any store purchase courtesy of post.

I was able to print two coupons and just got my .50/box trail mix crunch!! thanks so much!!

I wish I had read your update BEFORE I went to Walgreens :(
I guess $1.50 per box isn't a bad deal, though.
