I was wondering if anyone else has had a problem with walgreens not allowing you to use your register rewards with their coupons. I bought 2 neo to go, band aids to get the register rewards for 4 so I used 3 manufactured coupons for a 1.00 off each item then wanted to
pay with another register reward I had gotten from a different deal. And they wouldn't let me. I was wondering if this is correct. Anyone know?

Opps I just saw Q&A about walgreens link and now I understand. Thanks

You had too many coupons per items, you would have needed a "filler".

Do you know if the Aveeno Baby sunblock is included with any of those aveeno deals? Thanks

Lisa

Hip2Save said...

Lisa,
The Aveeno sunblock is including in the free travel bag promo, but it is not included in the scenarios I provide. The baby sunblock starts in price at $7.99 (that's with the 20% off discount). You could buy 4 for a total of $31.96 and then use 4 $2 coupons. Your total will be $23.96.

You could also mix and match some sunblock with the less expensive items. That way your out of pocket expense will be much lower.

DOes anyone know if the Free Right Guard deodrant that we printed out a couple nights ago for the Apprentice thing will generate the Register Rewards?

Deal Seeking Mom is listing a deal on ThermaCare:
Thermacare Heat Pads, $5.99
Get $3 RRs
$3/1 Thermacare printable
FREE after coupon and RRs!
But when I printed out the coupon, it says "Not valid in conjunction with any other offer". Does anybody know if that means the RR won't print out?

LisaC said...

Anon-
You need to purchase the ThermaCare and Advil together to get the RR. The red sticker under the ThermaCare lists which sizes of each are necessary to get the RR.

Anonymous said...

Hip2save,
Are you going to post any deals for Rite Aid this week? Thanks!

Rach said...

Hi,

Don't forget about all of the monthly RR deals here:

http://sweetsavings-n-cravings.blogspot.com/2009/04/walgreens-monthly-rrs-426-530.html

I found them on hot coupon world

Anonymous said...

Lisa-

Did you shop at Wags already to verify this? I believe you, I'm just wondering :)

Jen said...

I made my last trip for this week's specials this afternoon. I found 9 bottles of the 25 cent Walgreens ibuprofen! And, I also found the Boost Kids Essentials that was free after the coupon! Woo hoo! I don't think we'll be needing ibuprofen soon!

Hip2Save said...

Anon,
I will be posting the Rite Aid deals shortly!:)

Jen said...

I've used all the Aveeno coupons already. Poo! I used them during the Kmart Q special last week. Maybe I can sweet-talk DH into printing some for me at work on Monday. I'd REALLY like to get that travel kit!

Betsy said...

hmmm...is anyone else having problems with the Try V8 site? I keep getting an error message. Tried it in Firefox and IE. Maybe it's just me. :)

LisaC said...

Hi Anon-
Yes, I bought the ThermaCare without the Advil, and it didn't print the RR. I know that others have tried it with them together and had success.

fran said...

Bonnie (in Ar),
When you go to Walgreens, ask the cashier for the next couple of ads...she will have someone get them for you from the back...you can ask anyone, for that matter. I don't get the ads delivered anymore, so that's what I do. It is so much better to see the ad for yourself than trying to read it on the other sites. I don't get CVS either, so I have to wait till Sunday morning to be able to view it on their site. I do go by Hip2Save's list, but I like to see if there is anything else I can get to use my RRs or ECBs. Also, I don't know if you are aware of this or not....instead of typing your name and your state each time, you can click "name/URL" and then a space will appear for your name...that's what I do...I think it's much easier...juat thought you might like to know.

The vitamin E Coupon is no longer available when i try printing. Anyone have that problem?

newbie said...

Can anyone tell me what SS, PG and RP mean? I see them in posts as sources of coupons, e.g., 5/3SS. Thanks in advance. :)

Hip2Save said...

Hi newbie,
Welcome to the coupon world!:)

SS=SmartSource Coupon insert
PG=Protor & Gamble Coupon insert
RP=Red Plum Coupon insert

These are coupon inserts found in the Sunday paper. When I put the date by them that means the date they were available in the paper.

Hope that makes sense!

Anonymous said...

Conagra coupons have reached their print limit, so no more coupons, just for your info. Really wanted to try those new dishes and was hoping for a Q. Oh well!

Bonnie/AR said...

Fran, Thanks so much for taking the time to tell me and the others of how to get access to Wags info in advance. I, too, like a hard copy to work from.
And I was ignorant about using the circles the identify myself-that is why I was listed as Anonymous. Although really I wasn't because I signed my name. Appreciate your direction. Now I just hope it worked. :-)

fran said...

Hi Newbie, Another hint is when you get your Sunday paper, take a marker and write the dates on the front of each coupon insert...that way when Hip2Save tells you where a coupon is, you can find the insert quicker. If you happen to have a lot that you don't know the date, look down the fold of the insert and you'll see the date. If you have multiples of one insert, you might want to hold them together with either large paper clips or binder clips...then store them by dates.
Also, since you are new at this, I would like to pass on a little bit of advise (for your sanity): don't get upset if you miss out on a deal...you can't possibly get in on every deal. Besides the deals do repeat themselves, so there is always another deal to be had. Once you get a good stockpile, missing a deal won't even phase you. Hope that helps:)

Jen said...

I have started writing the coupons down on a post-it note and putting it on the front of the insert, along with the date. Some of my older inserts don't have all the Qs, and I was tired of flipping through to find out the Q wasn't there to begin with. Plus, I can cross off the Q when I've clipped it, and see that it's gone without having to page through.

MamaMataUSMC said...

Does anyone still know is the P&G debit card (Buy $20 get $10 Debit card) offer still available? i don't remember which week/insert it had that offer in.....

Anonymous said...

I used the coupon for free Right Guard Fast Break (printed a few weeks ago - no longer available), and it worked! Gave $2 RR!

fran said...

Hey Jen, Another thing you could do, instead of writing down each coupon...go to www.taylortownpreview.com, click a date, and you will get a list of each coupon insert. It might be easier for you if you just printed this list, separated them, and then clipped to the front of each insert. You might not have the exact same coupons or maybe not have a certain coupon at all in your insert, but you can adjust the printout. Let me know if you think this will work better for you...certainly would save you all that time writing.
Another thing I do is, as I'm going through the inserts, if I see a coupon I will probably use, I cut it then, and then file it in a file box (plastic shoe boxes works well). I have been couponing for a long time and I find this easier for me, but whatever is easier for you. And this might sound like a no brainer, but all the pages with no coupons (you know, just ads), I throw those in my recycling bag right away. That way, I don't waste time flipping through unnecessary papers. O.H.I.O. (only handle it once).
Hope that helps:)

ok I found the Swiffer debit card deal: Swiffer is running a great promotion right now. Spend $20 on Swiffer Refills, get a $10 debit card. Or, spend $10 on Swiffer Refills, get a $5 debit card. It’s like getting the refills for half price!

Just mail your UPCs and original receipt along with the filled-out form to Swiffer by 5/30 (must make your purchases by 5/15). Allow 6-8 weeks for debit card delivery.

This offer is good on purchases of Swiffer Duster Refills, Swiffer 360 Duster Refills, Swiffer Sweeper Dry Sweeping Cloths, Swiffer Sweeper Wet Mopping Cloths, Swiffer WetJet Solutions, Swiffer WetJet Pads and Sweeper X-Large Dry Sweeping Cloths.

Aveeno Travel Kit: How do you get the kit? I purchased 3 Aveeno, but no catalina and the paper doesn't say?

E;;em said...

I had the same problem but when I asked the cashier...she checked w/ the manager and he couldn't find them either so he gave me a $10 gift card and said check back thursday when their truck runs again!

mathmomof2 said...

The free travel kits were sold out on the shelf but when I asked if they had any left they were putting out a new display of them by the make-up counter. The cashier will scan the travel kit with all of your other items and then since you are also purchasing the three other aveeno products it automatically deducts the cost of the travel kit. Great deal!

Toni said...

My walgreens cheapest Aveeno was 7.99 :( Not worth it for me. If I could find the item for $2.39 that would be cool, the travel kit would be great for the shore!

mathmomof2 said...

Make sure you check the top shelf of the hand/body lotion section...not the facial/skin care section of Aveeno. The smaller bottle of daily moisturizer was next to the larger sized daily body moisturizer.

Anonymous said...

Is the Bayer glucose meter still on sale this week? I know the RR is monthly, but I thought the sale price wasn't. Thanks!

Hip2Save said...

Hey guys,
I just wanted to give you the heads up on the Aveeno deal. I also went today to purchase the 3 small lotions to get my free trabel bag. Well, the cosmetics lady didn't even have a clue what I was talking about, so I showed her the ad. Finally she figured out that they haven't even received a shipment of the travel bags yet. I find that pretty funny considering they have it advertised this week.

Anyway, she said all I need to do is bring back my receipt next time I come in to show them that I purchased 3 Aveeno products, then they will just give me the travel bag free.

Oh and to make this story even longer... I then asked when they would get them in stock. Well, she didn't have a clue and said probably in the next couple weeks?!? hmmmm... I left a little confused. Oh Walgreens, Oh Walgreens!

Hip2Save said...

Anon.,
I'm pretty sure the meter is on sale all month long. Although, I couldn't find any in stock when I went their today.

LisaC said...

My lady at the cosmetic counter ws clueless also. They don't work on Saturday, and come in cold on Saturday, while we come in loaded and ready to go.She went off to ask a manager what she should do, and I found them myself. hey were away from the Aveeno lotions, with some of the more expensive Aveeno products. They were trying to point us towards bigger sales.

Anyone know how much the Aveeno shampoo is? I have a $1.50 coupon for that and 2 of the $2 coupons. Can't print anymore. I will have to see if my store has the travel bags, or I probably won't do it.

on the pg products... if i use a bogo free coupon for the mr clean eraser, will $5 still go towards the $25 purchase to get $6rr? or will it only be $2.50 since i'm getting one free??? does anyone know?

Tricia said...

I think the full $5 should count toward your total.

Has anyone confirmed that the nabisco deal can be done without buying the milk? Do you only have to buy 2 nabisco products to get the RR? Thanks

Nicky said...

NYC Tip - If anyone lives in NY City (any of the 5 boroughs). If you go to the corner store after 12midnight you can ask the owner if he can give you the left over papers. I did that last week and got about 10 SS and I went to 2 stores this week and got 23 SS and P&G for free. They don't need the paper after midnguht and it goes in the trash so I take them off there hands. A win - win situation.

Anonymous said...

Avveno---- They wouldn't let me use the $2 coupon on the small hand cream (3oz about) Sad

Hip2Save said...

Anon,
No, only the $2.50 amount will go toward the $25 total. The free one will not.

Hip2Save said...

Tricia,
You only have to buy the Nabisco cookies not the milk. I just did this yesterday and got the $3RR!:)

nicole said...

hi, does anyone know if I can buy the pert and rightguard together and still get both rr's. Also, my wags didnt get the travel kits in until today the manager said they had to be fed ex. Aveeno didnt get them shipped out in time for the ad to start.

Anonymous said...

FYI: the MIR for the Bayer Meters is expired, but according to their toll free number they have extended it indefinitely. I bought a meter without a coupon to get the MIR and still "made" $5 from the RR! A lot of times they have extra meters behind the pharmacy counter but the shelf tag may be incorrect ( like $55) so get them to do a price scan. Also, I purchased 10 Hunt's Snack packs to get the $3 Conagra RR and the .75 MQ that printed out CAN be used on another purchase of Snack Packs and you will still receive another $3 RR!

Anonymous said...

So has anyone found the Walgreens coupon for the Walgreens Brand diapers or pullups? I would love to get ahold of one... Please contact me if you are willing to part with one.

Okay, I have been having a hard time at Walgreens lately. Last weekend I tried to get RR for something and I paid using manf Q and RR from the week before (on a different item). When I checked out the RR didn't print. I asked the cashier about it and she sent the manager out who said that I couldn't get RR if I used RR to pay for the item. I thought we could do this!!! I told him I had done this in the past and he said the policy has changed. I'm frustrated! Who's right?

Hip 2 Save has been very helpful, but I live in Colorado and a lot of the deals that are listed, such as the gluclose meter deal, are not offered in our area. Does anyone know of a sight that is like Hip 2 Save that can be used in conjuction with Hip 2 Save?
