I'm headed to Texas today...

Well, as some of you may know, I'm headed to Texas today to visit my hubby's family. They live in a small town up in the panhandle of Texas called Borger. It's about 1 hour outside of Amarillo.

The Drive from North Carolina to Borger is going to take about 20 hours! It will definitely be an interesting road trip with our three little kiddos. We're planning on taking our time getting down there and are hoping to make a few fun stops along the way.

Anyway, I just wanted to let you all know that I'll still be updating and posting new deals. However, I may be posting a little less then usually and most likely won't have much time to answer questions that people may have in the comment section. I do know, though, that I have some awesome readers that are always more then willing to answer questions, so thank you for saving me much needed time!

Wish me luck on my long road trip! I may even post some pictures, so stay tuned for that!

Have FUN! We just finished a road trip with 2 little ones (I am exhausted, lol!) ... but I did discover a fun "busy" activity for the car! At one of our stops in Yellowstone, the gift shop had these sticker sets clearanced (us bargain hunters can find deals ANYWHERE, lol!) anyway...I stocked up and gave my kids blank sheets of cardstock and they spent HOURS sticking stickers (you know ... the kind of stickers that have animals and then accessory stickers like hats, glasses, etc). Anyway, between the stickers, the in car movies and the magic pens (got at Kmart for $1.99 a set - they ONLY write on the paper they come with) ... my kids were angels in the car (the hotel rooms were a different story, lol!) Anyway ~ have a great and SAFE journey!!

You deserve a vacation for all you do for us. Have a great time. Some travel ideas, books on tape (we get ours from the library), small coloring books, make up crazy road kill or sign songs, or like you said lots of little stops. Even ten minutes to look at something is a big help for little ones.

Since the head-couponer is out of town I'm hoping you guys can help me out! If I have a coupon for $1 off 2 items, can I use 2 coupons (on 2 the items), essentially getting $1 off BOTH items? Thanks!

Shannon said...

No you can't because you can only use 1 man q per item.

Whitney said...

But it would only be 1 coupon per item, right? Buy 2 items, use 2 coupons (q = $1 off 2 items).

We are leaving for vacation today as well so I am glad I could coordinate with your trip so hopefully I won't miss much - especially since I won't have internet access for 10 days!

Have a great trip! Hope you enjoy my home state!! TX is hot right now, but it is a great state and I think you will LOVE it!

Whitney, I think it depends upon the store. You're right...you are getting 2 items, but you are buying 1 and getting 1 free.

hth a little.

Whitney,
Because your coupon states "$1.00 off 2" you can only use one coupon to purchase 2 items...if you wanted to use both coupons, you would need to buy 4 items. If the coupon was "$1.00 off 1", then you could use 2 coupons to purchase 2 items. I hope I didn't confuse you more. If you still don't understand, just say so, and I'll try again.
