The rebate offers for Huggies and Stayfree are different. Huggies qualifies for scr#61 and Stayfree qualifies for scr#160. So, you could do deal #1 for the Huggies, but #2 wouldn't work because the Stayfree doesn't qualify for it and your total would be under $25.

by the way, aren't you supposed to be on vacation? ;)

Crap! scr#53 for the $2 wyb 1 pack huggies is only for selected CA stores. Not a nationwide deal. :(

Diana said...

Oh... Nevermind. I read it wrong. Thought it was ONLY for selected stores. But it IS actually nationwide... YAY!

Do you have to purchase deal 1 and deal 2 in one day? Can you purchase it on two different days to get the max discount?

Rite aid has Haagen Daz Ice cream on sale for 2/5.00. 7-11 has 1.00 coupons for the pints. They are located on tear pads on the freezer doors. I just snagged a few this past wednesday, so they are current.

Has anyone else had a problem using the Rite Aid $5 off $25 coupon? The last time I used it the cashier told me that my total -- AFTER the regular coupons had been deducted -- had to be over $25 in order to use the coupon. Is this just my weird local store?

Anonymous said...

Kate, that sounds like what I would expect - do you think the $5 should be applied first?

I have a funny story about the $5 off $25 coupon - you know how one of them a while back read, "$5 off your next $25 purchase"? Well, when I tried to use it, the cashier said that I couldn't use it on THIS purchase, I had to use it on the NEXT purchase. Of course, when the next purchase came around, she would say the same thing...like those joke signs you see at bars that say "free beer tomorrow." :) (Except she was serious, unfortunately - I had to get the manager to apply the coupon.)

I just saw in my coupon binder that I have a $2 off 2 stayfree, was wondering I can use that with the with the BOGO coupon?

I wish I had a rite aid near me....bummer.

I was wondering about the 5 off 25 q as well.I tried to use it at 2 diff. stores and was told my purchase had to be 25.00 after q's also It says on there not to be combined with any other offers and she said well then you cant use other q's with it. So, can u use them together with q's and does your total after q's have to be 25.00 to use it. Does any one know where the right anwser is so I could print it and take it with me to the 2 stores I have in my town? thanks so much.

I'm driving right now, so Ill have to change the mistake I made about the huggies and stayfree being part of the same deal. However, I'm still planning on buying 2 packages of Stayfree as filler items. The total before all coupons for 5 packages of huggies that are priced around $11 each is over $50, so the deal scenario above should still work to get you the $25 Rite Aid gift card. Plus, using the Stayfree as a filler item will get you closer to earning the $25 gift card for the stayfree rebate too.

Thu,
You can do the transactions on seperate days if you want. They do not have to be on the same day.

Erica,
The only way you can use the $2 off 2 coupon with the bogo coupon is to buy a total of 4 packages of stayfree. You'll then us 2 bogo coupon and 1 $2 off 2 coupon. Your final cost will be free plus a $2 profit!

Just a quick note to add that the $2.00 is on MEGA packs only, so this deal doesn't exactly work out to the numbers.

I went to Rite Aid today to get the Stayfree deal. The high school age cashier and manager both stood me down and told me I couldn't use the Stayfree coupon because, "They're already Buy One Get One Free. Then you'd be getting both for free." I wanted to be rude and tell him that was the point but I kept my mouth shut. He also threw in, "You actually have to buy one to get one." The manager then stood by the door until my family got in our cars, like we were suddenly shady people because we tried to get something for free. He didn't go back inside until we'd driven out of the parking lot. I will be emailing corporate later today.

Sorry ... should have added that whole scene above was b/c I tried to use the B1G1 Stayfree coupon from today's paper.

Shannon beat me to it:

The $2 scr is for Mega Pack and the Caregiver rebate is for Jumbo packs (.75 per pack).

hth!

I just went to Rite Aid and I am so thankful for your heads up on the Huggies - We have a new baby coming in August and are tight on money - this is a great deal!! The only problem is they only stocked 3 packages of huggies diapers in the size 1 and 2. I will have to go to another Rite Aid to finish the deal or wait until they get more. Thank you also so much for the alert on the caregivers marketplace - I hope other new moms learn of this program. It really adds up!! Thanks again!!

Lia,
Don't forget to get rain checks, if they are ever out of stock, so you can still get the sale price, when the items are in stock. Even if you get want you want at another R.A., you will have a rain check to use, if you need more of that item later.

So can anyone confirm the $25 off $50 rebate works for Jumbo packs of diapers? According to the RA web site the counts listed for the rebate are mega packs (33-60ct) which are $19.99.

I've been able to combine the $5 off $25 coupon with other coupons before - but I think my purchase was still over $25 after the other coupons.

I'm sorry all of you guys have had such bad experiences with Rite Aid. Mine is awesome. I was able to get 2 Dove Clinical protection deodorants using 2 IP from here, a canister of Wet Ones, and 6 packs of Stayfree pads for $2.96 OOP, and will get $11 SCR back (plus the pads go towards the gift card). I think it's my best deal yet. Thanks so much, Collin! I'm sure there are better deals to be had at Rite Aid, but I'm pretty new to this so I'm excited. First my total came up to six-something dollars, and I decided not to press my luck since I used 3 BOGO coupons on a BOGO Stayfree sale, plus the 3 $1 coupons. But the cashier caught her own mistake without any promptings from me, and realized one of the BOGO coupons must not have scanned, so she scanned it and gave me cash back. And she was super-nice the whole time. And I always get overage there and they take off $5 off $25 before all the MFQs. But I don't think they get any clear instructions from corporate on these matters. When I first called them to ask if they took coupons over the price of the item, the manager said "sure; it would be free, I guess" like it was a novel idea to her.

Last week I bought some Air Wick air fresheners there with a B2G2 Q, and it ended up taking off $2.50 twice, so I got 4 for $1. I decided to get some more since it was the only place I've found that sells them. When I got back to the cashier, she said she'd figured out what had happened: she had scanned the coupon twice, and it was actually only supposed to take off $2.50 (the coupon actually said up to $2.40, so I don't know why it was ringing up as 10 cents more), but since it was her mistake, she would take $5 off for me again.

They are always so uncharacteristically nice there, I feel like I have to do something more substantial for them than leave positive feedback. I offered to share my Air Wicks with the cashier last week, but her grandkids have asthma, so she didn't want any. Plus, I feel that it looks like bribery. Maybe I'm just not used to good customer service, lol.

Can anyone verify that the Jumbo packs work for the $25 gift card?

I have 2 Rite Aids close by and I have been fortunate that they don't usually give me problems other than 1 last week with the hula umbrella deal. I have always used the $5 off $25 before manufacturer's coupons, but I usually pull that out first and leave my other coupons out of sight until they have scanned it just in case. =) One time, a young man scanned my other coupons before doing that and I laughingly told him he was going to mess me up because my total was just over $25 after tax and he said it would work, scanned it and it took it off even though part of that amount was tax. And I have never had problems with the Internet printables, either. Now Walgreens is a different story....hoping I manage to get some of these great deals this week!

Just FYI, the Huggies deal is all month and RA usually has a week where the diapers are on sale for $9.99 so it *might* be worth waiting, unless you have coupons expiring..or need the dipes! :)

marybeth at www.babygoodbuys.com said...

Rebate #53 doesn't work with the packages of diapers required for the "big" $25 gift card rebate. It's only $2, though, so the total for all those diapers will still be really low! I did post a scenario without rebate 53 at my website :)

With entering the receipts on riteaid.com do you have to choose what rebates or giftcards you want or do you just enter you receipts and they will just know what ones you want?? I haven't ever done riteaid and walgreens you get to select which rebates you want. PLEASE any help from any one who has done this before would be so much appreaciated Thanks

Emily (Laundry and Lullabies) said...

Bethany, according to the SCR printout from the RA site, Huggies supreme or Snug and Dry diapers 34-60 ct. qualify. So check the numbers on the packaging.

fran said...

Lisa H,
When you enter your receipt information, it will automatically show which rebates you qualify for. If you enter your receipt the same day you shop, you will not see it right away...it takes a couple of days, so you might want to wait a couple of days to enter it, so you can see your qualifying rebates right away. Make sure you wait until the end of the month to request your check...once you request a check, you can't qualify for anymore rebates in that month.
HTH.

I just requested my SCR for both the $25 gift card & the free pack of huggies. I purchased in two transactions: 5 packages of jumbo huggies(only one was over 31 count) and a box of kleenex.
It looks like it is working on the smaller count packages. It said I qualified for both rebates and I went ahead and submitted. Just a FYI for those who are waiting to see what size package works!
