Target Deals 6/14-6/20

Numerous readers are having issues with being able to stack a Target coupon and manufacturer coupon together on one item. Well, the good news is that Target's coupon policy clearly states that you can use both coupons together on one item. Their policy also states that if the value of the coupon is higher then the value of the item, then they can adjust the coupon down. Go on over here to access their coupon policy. Print it off and keep it with you every time you shop at Target. You also may want to read more about the coupon issues people have been encountering and what can be done about it here.

For the cereal deal, my ad lists buy 3 boxes cereal get a free gallon of milk.

Some Kellogg's cereals were on sale at my Target this morning for $1.99, so the cereal deal was really great (the deal includes all Kellogg's cereals, not just the kid cereals). I used $1 coupons on each Frosted Mini-wheats and I got 3 boxes of cereal and the free orange juice for $3!

I checked 3 Targets for the Nexcare bandaids. All I found was the actually Bandaid brand bandages.

Can anyone else verify that their Target carries the travel size Nexcare?

Whitney said...

Becca - my Target only carries Disney nexcare travel-size bandages.

joelle said...

My Target didn't carry the Nexcare Travel size bandages either. :-(

There were some reports of 1.99 kellogs cereal on rollback working for the free gallon of milk.

Also, if you happen to still have the IP for buy a package of oscar meyer lunch meat get $1 off a package of kraft cheese, this makes that deal even sweeter when it is stacked with the $1/2 meat coupon.

I did this today with no problems and most importantly...no beeps lol

Can someone please explain the "get back a $5 target gift card" I've never received a gift card back from target purchases and don't see these deals listed in the weekly add. Do they give you an actual gift card or a coupon prints out with receipt? Do you have to ask? Any thing else about how this works? I'd like to try it out this week. Thanks:)

I shopped at my Target yesterday and found the travel size band-aids just fine. They do happen to be Disney theme, but I don't mind since they are free. Wasn't sure how many my cashier would ring thru without a problem, so I only did 5 and plan on using much more this week.

Off the Target subject, but just wanted to know if anyone has had any trouble getting the SS home printed coupons to scan at stores..namely Wal-Mart.

I had not used them in some time because they (Wal-Mart) kept going back from not excepting them to excepting them. I thought I'd take advantage of them excepting them right now and took in 2 coupons from coupons.com and 1 from SS website.

They told me they would except them all if they had the ex. date and address to send them..and of course if the register read them.

It read the coupons.com ones just fine..but wouldn't read the SS printed one. They excepted it anyway because it was a legit coupon..and just punched in the amount of the coupon. Plus I worked there for awhile and they knew me.

I just didn't know if anyone else had problems with them. I see great deals on that website and don't want to miss out!

JAMI STL,
Whenever I've done a Target gift card deal as soon as the last item for the deal is scanned, the register has a message on it telling the cashier to give you a gift card. They hand you a gift card and then finish the transaction. I have been able to do multiple gift card deals in the same transaction as well. You cannot use the gift card to pay for that transaction, though. I usually save my gift card and use it to pay for the next gift card deal that I want to do. Hope this helps.

T-
I sometimes have the same problem with the SS coupons printed at home. Sometimes they scan just fine. Though last week the register seemed to have problems reading coupons from the Sunday paper, so it could just be the registers. My cashier was finally able to get them through, but there have been times when I haven't been so lucky.

LisaC said...

I couldn't find the NexCare travel pk either, but my Target does have the Nexcare Waterproof (20 count) on price rollback for $1.25 They were on the shelf with all the rest of the first-aid items. I was just as happy, because I ended up with more band-aids!

Lois said...

I am new to this site and was wondering what SS and RP mean and how do you get those coupons? Thanks so much! I am excited to start saving!!

Jessica said...

Go buy a Sunday paper and you will have the 6/14 SS( Smart Source) coupons. Other weeks there are also RP( Red PLum) inserts or PG (Proctor & Gamble). Have fun!!

Anonymous said...

There are $1 off AND BOGO coupons for the Joint Juice, so I used them together. I have the multiple subscription (5 Sunday papers), so yesterday I got 10 bottles of Joint Juice for free! I handed the cashier the BOGO coupons to scan first, and then the $1 off ones. I'm not sure if the order they are scanned matters in this case or not. Anyone know?

Can you buy 2 Pullup and one Scott Bath Tissue and still get the $5 gift card? I couldn't tell if it was a mix and match deal.

Anonymous said...

What does this mean?.

(Don't forget that you get .75 per pack back from the Caregivers Marketplace- bringing your total cost down to just $3.57 per pack)

Thanks Sarah

Amy said...

I got 5 Breyers Ice Creams TOTALLY FREE!!! I had 5 of the $1.50 coupons from the Family Is It's Own Reward coupon booklets.

5 x $2.50 = $12.50 - $7.50 (5 x $1.50) = $5 and get a $5 gift card

I even had a gift card to start with so I paid nothing out of pocket and walked out with 5 cartons and the same amount in gift cards!

Ida said...

Amy99

where do you get those booklets?
thanks

Hip2Save said...

The Parents,
Yes, you can mix and match the Scott Toilet paper deal and the Pull Ups deal!

Sarah,
I just updated the post with a link to the post I did on the Caregivers Marketplace. Click on it and you'll be able to read about exactly what it.

Good luck at Traget. Went there last week to do some deals and they would only allow me to use one Traget coupon per transaction. Not per purchase...per transaction. So I told them I would ring each item individually as its own transaction. They told me no, they reserved the right to refuse any transaction. They told me they will not allow me to make multiple purchases. I told them fine, I'll go out to my car, drop off this bag, and come in for the next. The customer service supervisor told me she would not allow me to make my purchase when I came back in! CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS! So, I asked for the manager...the Store Manager. He sided with the supervisor. Needless to say, I didn't give Target even a penny of my money (do you know what I can buy with a penny?). I threw all the bags up on the counter and left.

Jami STL said...

Thanks Jessica...I got it!!!
Just back from Target. Two coupon has reached their print limit so I couldn't use them. I Couldn't find the trail size bandaids or Renu. Dry Idea was $3+, not 2.49, don't know why. Also I handed over 8 coupons and later saw on my receipt that only 7 were taken off, the cashier never mentioned anything about which one it was (and I was manning my 16 month old). Please tell me this gets easier! I spend 6.83 (2 trial size lotions, 3 crystal light, degree, soft soap pump and refills) saved 22.50 and got the $5 gift card (I think that was included in the 22.50 savings though??), so overall I am a happy saver.

Jami STL said...

urggg....just figured out they didn't take my target degree coupon (all others were even dollar amounts, so it was easy to figure this was the one left off), I didn't double up on this or anything, have no idea what happened. bummer!!

Anonymous said...

I went in Target this morning and they would not take my crystal light coupons with the 3 pack of crystal light. The manager said that it had to be one of the mixes and I tried to explain to her that it WAS a mix! She would not budge. I told her that they took my coupon on the same item last week and she said they were not suppose to. I think she just did not want to fool with adjusting the price. What do you think of this??

Pamela said...

I found this FREE sample and coupon for Huggies today for those that may need it ... here it is http://www.huggiespureandnatural.com/freesample.aspx

Jami STL said...

Becky,
that's crazy, they took mine just fine and didn't even do the price adjustment. wish there was less variability, seems like it is just up to the whim of the person you are working with.

Vaseline Aloe Fresh lotion (travel size) .97

^^ i found a tear pad at kmart the other day for $1.50 off Vaseline Aloe Fresh lotion, did not exclude trial size, so you make 50 cents!! (they had the Kmart logo but were a manu. q)

Anonymous said...

i went to target today and bought 4 12 packs of pepsi. tried to use the target pepsi coupons, but they would not scan. they said if it would not scan that they would not take them. i don't know they didn't scan. i printed the mayo and bliss coupons from the same site... hmmm...

LisaC said...

Anon-
I've had trouble with my target coupons not scanning, and one of the cashiers suggested adjusting the settings on my printer.
Also, the July issue of ALL YOU has a B2G1 free coupon on Lean Cuisine entrees, which would make this weeks Target deal even better!

Jami STL said...

I have 3 or 4 Renu coupons that I won't use. I use opti-free and the Renu trial size at my target is over $1 so I wouldn't get a freebie with it. If anyone would like me to mail them to them I'd be happy to.

Target in co. wont accept coupons for travel size. bummer

Alisa said...

Hi! This is to all of you that are having issues with Target.

These issues are not acceptable by any stretch of the imagination. Please call corp (or if you are nervous about that, email me the store location and I will do it!). There is absolutely no reason to only take one Target coupon per trans. Are you kidding me???

The ONLY time a coupon is not good for a travel size item is when it states that. Otherwise, they still get paid for it.

Managers get on a power trip (I was a retail mgr for 10 yrs--I am embarrased to admit I know). Do not let them bully you around.

Target corp will email you a copy of their coupon policy.

Collin also has a whole post about issues at Target...try and go back and read through it. You all are not alone, but we CANNOT let these power-hungry mgrs win.

Good luck, and if you need my help, please email me!! I love dealing with this sort of thing! I have been on both sides, so I know how to handle it!

Alisa said...

Jami STL--If no one else needs them, my mom uses those all the time. She started buying the travel size for some reason, and I started sending her my coupons (she had no idea there were coupons like that out there!!)

i dont see the huggies pull ups on the caregivers list of products, only other huggies diapers. Can we still get .75$ back?

fla_gen said...

Is the SoftSoap deal regional? Here in the Tampa Bay (FL) market, they wouldn't honor it because it wasn't in the flyer, only on the printout from your blog that I brought with me.

fla_gen said...

But I forgot to mention that thanks to you I saved 64% off my bill tonight. Got the AF chips/salsa deal(x2), Dawn dish soap, Crystal Light packets(x4), Ziploc bags(x2) and DelMonte Chillers(x2). They were totally out of Breyers ice cream, which I was really bummed about because I bought 10-$1offQs off eBay and had cleared out the garage freezer! No rain checks for 'special purchases', so I'll just have to call daily to see if they've restocked. Spent $8.94+tx, saved $22.99!

You do have to watch your cashier very carefully. I have for the most part had really great cashiers at Target but you care more about getting the $1 off than they do! I always try to watch the total amount and make sure it goes down the correct amount. Hard to do I Know with a little one.:)( I have 8!). It will get easier with experience. I just have to realize that it's OK if I don't get every deal every time and then it's not so frusturating when I can't find certain deals. Glad I could help!

Target has the Dawn simple pleasures 12.6 oz. for $1.42 and there are 1.00 coupons for them in the Homemade Simple Booklet making them .42cents for the lemon and tangerine.

Just have a question about target coupons. The meat coupons say $1/1 does that mean 1$ of a pound or 1$ off a package?

Emily (Laundry and Lullabies) said...

I'm wondering about the Oscar Mayer meat and kraft cheese deal. Since one of the meat packages is free (from the store's promotion) will they give me a hard time about using a coupon that says $1/TWO? I'm asking because I tried a similar offer at Vons a week ago and they wouldn't let me do it - said that I had to actually "buy" two and the free one didn't count. I'd love some feedback on this issue because I'm really not sure what to expect or what is right. Thanks!

Definitely took advantage of the salsa and chips deal. $2.66 for 2 bags of chips and salsa! Though I read the fine print on the Target chips coupon and it says limit one per transaction, so not sure you'd have a leg to stand on if one of the cashiers called you on it. I didn't see the travel size Nexcare band-aids, but the regular size was on sale so I got it for .77 after the coupon. No Kashi waffles at my store either :(

I printed those Archer Farm chips coupons and they didn't scan. =( Is there anywhere else I can print these from? I LOVE those chips (even without the coupon it's a pretty good deal - they're organic even!) and I was ready to do this deal 5 times, lol!

Also, my mom tried the Softsoap deal in Pueblo, Colorado and didn't get a gift card. I did it here and got one! I guess this must have been a regional promotion? I see in the comments that some people didn't get it. Bummer! I was also only able to print one coupon per computer for that deal, which kinda surprised me. Makes me want to buy some old computers, lol! Is that cheating?!

I tried using the Dove face care travel size today at Target. The cashier did not know why it didn't scan...so she called someone over. They tried telling me because it had to be the same item of the picture. I said, "NO. It clearly says ANY dove face care." They called someone over from guest services and she told me b/c it was travel size. I tried telling her that it clearly does not say travel size and she said that she will not accept coupons for travel size!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME??!?!?

I found that printing coupons from A Full Cup on IE makes for better scanning than printing them off in FF for some reason.

My Target ppl have told me that they ALWAYS have trouble with the target qs scanning...and you can have them enter then manually. ALSO..if you are using more than one of the same kind lots of times as soon as they find one that does scan...they will just scan that one x number of times.

We have the Strawberries on sale in KS too... and $0.99/lb is better than pick you own... doesn't taste as good :) But I'm going to get a bunch to make my jelly since I'm preggo and don't want to go pick this year *sheepish grin*

I tried to do the Pull Ups gift card deal at Target this week and left deciding I would NEVER shop there again. (and I LOVE Target stuff). I picked up three packs of Pull Ups on sale for 8.99 each and took them to the register. Now, mind you that the tag that advertised the diapers as being on sale for 8.99 also advertised the gift card offer. They rang them up, I gave them my coupons, paid, and then - no gift card. I asked, and the girl started flipping through the sale paper. The manager came over and said it was only for the larger size packs, the one's on sale for 14.99! I told her what the sign said and she actually said, "That's how they get you." We took the diapers to customer service and returned them. Then I went back to the display and looked at the tag again. The sign advertising the Pull Ups for 8.99 DID have the ad for the gift card as well, with no fine print. I almost took the sign up to the manager, but decided that I have had enough bad experiences with Target to even bother. I'm done, but I was just wondering if anyone else has sucessfully done the Pull Up deal with the 8.99 size pack. Thanks!
