Target: $3 Movie Staycation DVDs!

The deals never seem to end at Target this week... here is yet another one! Target has select movie Staycation DVDs priced at just $5 each ( Matilda, Little Women and more). Pair these great buys with the $2 coupon available here. Final cost only $3 per movie... not bad!

**Remember that movies make great stocking stuffers and Christmas presents!

The coupon says that you must use original coupon when purchasing so can a printed copy still be used?

Is it only good for the the movies on the page or all the $5 movies?

Hi,
I just went to target to get these movies and only some of them were marked with the Staycation sticker. But i asked the manager about it and she said she would honor the coupons for any of the $5 movies. So i go Daddy Daycare,
Milo & Otis, Bob the Builder & a Barney singalong DVD.

Great deal!!!

Did the coupon take off automatically for any of the $5 movies or did she have to manually override it?

I just got home and I used it to purchase The Karate Kid and Kicking and Screaming. The Karate Kid came off immediately and Kicking and Screaming had to be manually done (not on the list but was also $5.00) however I had no problem using them.

I just got back and got Matilda and Stuart Little 2. Most of the movies are not marked, but it looks like most of the $5 movies would qualify. I didn't have any trouble using the coupons. They went right through.

The coupon had to be manually taken off. None of them would scan. But it wasn't a problem at all.

I just wanted to say I went there today and got 10 trial size boxes(2sets in each box) of the crest advanced strips for F-R-E-E!!! A $50.00 value,I opened up every box in front of the cashier and handed them the $7.00 coupon and they price adjusted it down to $4.99. Im going to see if walmart has any of these. They work great if any one wanted to know. Also, I seen alot I mean alot of coupons on products today and I was wanting to know are we aloud to take the coupon off with out buying the item? I might see the item somewhere else cheaper but I feel like I'm stealing if I do.

Cool! I just went to Target and got $55 worth of Christmas gifts for $13 - wahoo! I was too hesitant (and hot and tired) to try the $5 Staycation thing. I saw 5 movies that actually had the logo: Air Force One, As Good As It Gets, another Jack Nickolson movie (can't remember title, but Diane Keaton is in it too), Matilda, & Big Fish. I'm going to go back when I'm rested and cooler and see what I can get!

I made a Target run last night to get a video for the kids. I just want to point out that the coupon is from Sony Pictures. Scooby Doo, Thomas the Tank, Barney and others do not fall under this category. Using this coupon for "any" $5 movie is misuse of the coupon. You can find a list of movies here:

http://www.sonypictures.com/homevideo/specialoffers/coupons/Staycation_Coupon_Sheet_Amazon2.pdf

Please note: not all movies listed for the Amazon listing will be @ Target for $5.

I would hate to see this deal pulled from Sony because of this. Some people have a hard enough time with coupon shopping at Target locations to begin with.

Stepping off of the soapbox now.

Thank you!

nicole ohio,
I would not take a coupon off a product unless you are buying it. That just doesn't seem ethical to me. However, if it is an instance like the Crest strips or the Glade scented oil tins that were on sale awhile back, I sometimes take the coupons out to use on my transaction so I don't have to do multiple transactions, but you should always have 1 leftover because you have to buy the first one without a coupon. So if I bought 10 white strips, I would use the coupons from 9 packages and still have 1 coupon left. It would be as if I paid full price for the first, then took out the coupon and bought the second and so on but less trouble for me and the cashier. Hope that makes sense.Just my opinion.

I managed to get Matilda, but the Target's in my area (SF Bay Area, CA)put them on sale for $4.75 so you cannot use the coupon - not valid with any other discounts, etc... I swear they read this blog and if you don't do the deal within hours, they adjust the prices up, etc.

Tried to purchase The Karate Kid today and although the cashier and manager on duty were nice about it, they would not accept my coupon because it did not scan and did not state on the coupon that it was an Internet coupon as most do. I print on the minimal B/W settings, so I am going to try some printed in color and see what happens. I hope it works!
